Windows installation - partition errors

So, I shut my laptop down last night without any drama, but when I went to power it up this morning, it was just... dead. Like, it’s acting as if Windows doesn't even exist on here anymore. I tried to play it smart by popping in a Windows 10 DVD to start a fresh installation, but then things got weird. It looks like both of my partitions have just vanished into thin air, leaving me staring at 931 GB of unallocated space. I figured I'd just hit "New" to recreate a partition, but the system immediately threw an error at me

It’s been one of those mornings where nothing goes right. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of; the BIOS actually recognizes the hard drive, so it's physically there, but for some reason, the installer just refuses to let me create a partition on it...

Looks like a hardware failure to me. Your drive might be dead, so you should probably take it to a repair shop for a proper diagnostic. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to mess around with it yourself, try booting from a live Linux USB to see if the system can even detect the drive.
Maybe try a Microsoft boot tool—it has decent HDD diagnostics built in...
