Worst acne ever

First off, I scoured the forums to see if anyone had already asked this, but since there isn't a single thread on it, I’m throwing this out there..

Take a look at this disgusting boil and tell me what on earth I'm dealing with and how to fix it. It’s rock hard to the touch and honestly, I'm losing my mind here. I can't exactly run to the doctor because I have to stay on campus for finals this weekend, so please, I need some help.

The photo quality is pretty rough, which makes it incredibly difficult to distinguish if this is just a standard boil or potentially an abscess. If the pain becomes absolutely unbearable, you should head straight to the ER to have it drained. You could also check in with the university health clinic.
As a temporary fix, try applying a cold compress.

Before this thing really blew up, it was just a tiny white bump. I'm pretty sure it's an abscess. Does anyone know if Betrion cream actually helps with this stuff? Ugh, and please tell me it won't leave a scar on my face...

Look, if it truly is an abscess, it needs to be professionally drained—and you absolutely cannot attempt to do that yourself. Using an antibiotic ointment like Bactroban might provide some relief, but it won't do much good until a doctor actually cleans out the infection first.
