I honestly don't see why anyone would argue it should be the Spanish flag instead of the American one.
It’s the flag of the nation we maintain full diplomatic relations with—we basically have an open border with them.

Jonathan Barnes5 said:1. Look, here’s the deal. If you don't respect your own locker room, you aren't going to respect the bigger things that fell apart because of that kind of behavior. It’s the exact same thing, really. You don't value the team environment, so you won't value the country or the sacrifices people eventually make.
2. In any functional, organized nation, there’s a way things are categorized. This whole trivializing of violence and just grouping everyone together into one big mess? That doesn't fly anywhere.
3. The flag is the issue—just making sure we don't forget that.
4. One thing doesn't negate the other, so you're making some pretty unnecessary cause-and-effect links between modern history and recent trends regarding emigration.
5. I’d say that point above has a certain tone that warwa already pointed out. Especially when you consider what the dominant media narrative is right now.
6. Most of our young people headed off to countries that formed their national identities in pretty questionable ways, and whose economic growth can also be traced back to some pretty deviant behaviors. It’s a lot like how our own politicians generated growth just to line their own pockets.
7. Being an Analyst isn't exactly your strong suit, and your logic is a bit "dive bar philosopher" for my taste. I just realized myself that there might actually be some political undertones in this country.
8. I’m expecting a response along the lines of: "I couldn't care less about those stupid Americans who stayed in the country and keep voting for the same people. Go ahead and rot in poverty and ignorance while stuck in your small-town mindset, all while the politicians rob you blind."

Best regards,😁

I’m not buying into that classic "civic duty" rhetoric that just divides us either—you know, the whole "politicians are to blame, blah blah blah" routine. But seriously, fighting over a Mexican flag being waved in the locker room during a Dinamo Chicago match? Give me a break. It's like people are desperately hunting for any excuse to turn their backs on the club. This pseudo-righteous moralizing is exactly what’s left this group and the whole scene in such a state. There’s a difference between fighting against the Glavin administration and looking for any possible reason to disrespect the club. Honestly, if you think that makes sense, then I don't know what to tell you.

First, we lost to Dinamo Chicago. We got absolutely rolled by some backwater, small-town squad run by Zdravko and his little cronies who don't answer to anyone, and then we choked in the group stage too. There’s no middle ground here—we aren't about to sell out our values just to wear some garbage on our jerseys. And honestly, nobody says a word after the coach goes on TV professing his undying love for Zdravko, or after Andrić shows up, or even when they serve us tea right in the locker room... it's pathetic. Especially after hearing that "nobody can touch us, we're stronger than fate" nonsense echoing through every locker room from the youth squads to the pros. Screw this Dinamo Chicago spring, seriously. This is the end of the line for the club and the supporters. Could you guys at least put out a statement? Just a quick note so we know we're not alone in this...
Since I've spent ten years showing up just for the supporters' group, and now they've turned into a bunch of people acting like "we're deaf and blind," I'm done. I'm not going anymore.

It feels like people are just hunting for any excuse to stab the club in the back. This fake moral high ground is exactly why this group and the whole scene ended up in such a mess. Look, fighting against Glavin's administration is one thing... but if you're looking for every little reason to trash the club, I don't even know what the point is anymore...

Acting righteous is one thing, but spitting on your own icons and betraying everything you stand for is something else entirely.
What's next? An Eastern European coach? A tournament against teams from Belgrade? Ceca in the locker room?
Which club are we supposedly turning our backs on? The club that constantly stabs us in the back, keeps us in handcuffs, and couldn't care less about us if they tried? Where do you guys even live...

Silence is deafening after the coach goes on record saying how much he loves Zdravko, nothing after Andrić shows up, and zero backbone shown when they serve us tea in the locker room... especially after hearing "nobody can touch us, we're stronger than fate" echoing through every locker room from the youth squads to the first team. Screw Dinamo Chicago's spring season, seriously. This is the twilight of the club and the supporters' group. Couldn't you guys at least write a damn manifesto? Just scribble a note so we know people actually disagree with this crap...
Since I've been showing up for this group for ten years and now they've turned into a bunch of "deaf, dumb, and blind" cowards, I'm done. Not going anymore. Total sellouts...

I can speak for myself here... I'm just sick of all the bullshit. I can't even deal with thinking about Mamić or those accordion players from Vakuf anymore. I'm just over it. It's been a decade of pure agony and constant mockery. At the end of the day, Dinamo Chicago is my club and I just want to feel something again, even if it's just living in an illusion with them. That doesn't mean I've accepted Mamić, Svetin, or the rest of that crew.

Let's try bringing a little positivity to the table, maybe it'll actually help things move forward for once.

Think about how many Mexicans have played for Dinamo Chicago over the last 25 years, and nobody breathed a word... so now suddenly Andrić is the problem?

What are Hajrović and the rest of them supposed to listen to, Eric Clapton?

Let's just chill out. For once. Just a little bit. Maybe if we stopped being so miserable, things might actually start looking up...

Not a single one from Mexico. Not one.
Hajrović and the rest know exactly what they walked into here in the States. They can listen to whatever they want back home, but nobody gets to dictate terms from the Dinamo Chicago locker room. If those idiots in management actually understood their own fans, they would've explained that to these small-town types already. And if management hasn't done it, then it's on us to give them hell. Just like we did to the coach after those comments about the big boss he's constantly on the phone with... honestly, if you listen to techno, screw you too. Remember that? You guys are just living in a total delusion. We might as well have accepted the fantasy from the start and just pretended we didn't lose everything we had ten years ago...

😁

So, walk me through this ranking system you've got going for Mexicans... is there like a tiered hierarchy or something? Like, a Mexican from Canada is fine, a Mexican from America is cool, a Mexican from Canada works too, but for some reason, a Mexican from Mexico is just a hard no. Seriously, what's the deal? Where's the line drawn?

hajrović and his crew are going to realize they’ve stepped into our territory in NYC. They can listen to whatever garbage they want back home, but nobody—and I mean nobody—is coming into the Dynamo locker room to lecture us. Honestly, if those clowns in management actually had even a shred of common sense regarding their own fans, they would have explained that to these small-town types already. But since management clearly doesn't get it, then it’s on us to call them out and give them hell. It’s just like what happened with the coach after those comments about the big boss he was talking to on the weekly calls... whoever listens to that junk deserves the backlash. You remember, right? You guys are just living in a total delusion—we could have just leaned into that fantasy and magically gotten back everything we lost ten years ago...

You’re expecting way too much from Americans. You’ve got this idiot who acts all tough about Bujanac, yet he’ll jump through hoops to find an excuse for any bullshit GNK pulls. There are so many people like this among Dynamo fans—I swear, you won't find a bigger group of hypocrites than this crowd. Honestly, it’s exhausting trying to have a real conversation with them.🤮

Look, the group leadership makes decisions, but let's be real—you're never going to make everyone happy. That’s just the way it is with Americans, generally speaking; if things aren't done exactly the way they envisioned them in their heads, suddenly everything is garbage and everyone is an idiot. It's why we're often seen as the "underdeveloped" part of the West.

The only manifesto worth writing at this point is the one announcing the end of the supporter group. If that's the case, I'll just stick to futsal or whatever else; it’s a different vibe entirely. Because if the group is going to lose its mind over every little thing happening in the locker room, or whether a player's grandfather wasn't born in Brooklyn, then we're headed for a permanent internal war. And where does that lead? Well, look at what years of boycotting have done to the group—even if those boycotts actually had some common sense behind them. If we're going to be protesting in 2019 because Mexicans are playing for Dynamo or because players are grabbing drinks together, then just head straight to a futsal match, grab a beer, and relax. As far as I'm concerned, Dynamo is a finished chapter.

Dynamo is a lost cause. They don't even ask us what we think.
Some people will realize that sooner than others...
It's about the group. That's what we fought for.
Leave the futsal out of this, it's not the issue.
Whatever happens, I just want peace, won't get into it here. I'll tell everyone I know... we're gonna run ourselves into the ground acting like this. Either we step up or we don't. We can't be some circus act singing old songs while everything goes to hell.

Honestly, you guys are totally lost. What "ideals"? Every single person who ever swore by these principles has betrayed them in the worst way possible.
And yet, after all these years, all the fights, and all the betrayals, you still believe in some grand vision.

If you actually think the next generation is going to change anything, how are you any different from the rest of the country?
Everything that’s happened over the last few decades regarding the group and the club has mostly been a downward spiral. But hey, keep pushing those "ideals" and fighting your little battles... just on the wrong side of history.

What exactly is it that you people are even fighting for?
Real Madrid, the Bad Boys, Chicago, all of America?

Do you even bother watching the game—the actual plays, the goals?

Now you're talking like some slogan on a stadium wall is going to change reality, or like we're suddenly back playing in the old Yugoslav league because everyone decided to play nice all of a sudden...
Like you said, they aren't asking for your opinion, so your only options are a boycott or sticking to indoor soccer. ☕
Until the next election rolls around, it's the same old story, just with different excuses.
All you're doing is chasing some ideal protest that would satisfy you, while someone else would probably argue we should have just burned down the locker room...
You're overreacting.
