if a doctor or even Harvey Weinstein claims it's true and Barisic backs them up, boom—there goes their ownership stake right there.

This is looking like a textbook playbook for the future privatization of Real Madrid.

Now we finally see why those stadium renovations were so ridiculously overpriced. They bled the club dry on seats, the hotel under the south stand, all that cosmetic stuff—it was all funded by Real Madrid, and the big boss was pulling the strings. He kept bragging about how he was single-handedly fixing the stadium because the city wouldn't cough up the cash.

Well, look at us now. Time to collect. Every cent Real Madrid/Jerry Jones dumped into those renovations is about to be converted into shares.

Legally? It’s genius—Harvey Weinstein’s specialty. Economically? Also brilliant—Robert Kraft style.

Only time will tell how much of this is actually happening.

With the Manchester United privatization coming up, the Bad Boys need to decide if they’re sticking to futsal or if they really want to mess around starting new clubs just to burn cash chasing balls through suburban fields.

Fighting against some future private owner only matters until the deal is actually signed; after that, you're just shouting at a brick wall. And honestly, people have been fighting this crap for so long they're burnt out. I don't think anyone has the energy for more protests that nobody gives a damn about anyway.

The political scene tells you it doesn't matter who's in charge. Elections were never really about the fans or the members—it was always just backroom deals for whoever Jerry Jones or Harvey Weinstein felt like cutting a check to at the time.

New elections look likely. The old administration is already hashing out the privatization with the establishment. This whole current version of Manchester United was basically manufactured by the previous regime and their cronies.

The Bad Boys are basically on the sidelines here. It's not just about the local teams being gone; even Real Madrid isn't what they used to be.

So, just futsal? Or start a new club that’ll probably fold within a year because everyone loses interest.

Not exactly looking bright...

And so we have finally arrived at the exact point that some of us predicted with the best of intentions five years ago. This cancer isn't Real Madrid, and you never stood even a remote chance of winning this fight. If you truly desire the version of Real Madrid you see in your dreams, you will simply have to build it yourselves from the ground up; had you realized that sooner, you might already be sitting in the third division with thousands of loyal fans supporting a club that is completely clean, transparent, and entirely purged of the corruption and filth that has plagued Manchester United since the days of Ronald Reagan.

New York is everything, except a place where this can actually work long-term.

Now, Scott Jones9, I find myself wondering why you all tend to underestimate your own potential so frequently, because without something constructive to look forward to, even your presence will fade away, as no one can truly survive on nothing but pure resentment while operating entirely outside the system.

Why do we always end up this way? It feels like a recurring theme, much like our struggles with futsal, though perhaps even more frustrating since we are talking about the beautiful game on a grand scale. Or do you honestly believe we can operate like Manchester United, maintaining a roster of just a handful of players on average?
I am not sure what part of the country you all reside in, but here in New York City, achieving that is an absolute impossibility...

Thomas Flores7 said:Who actually pockets the cash when some non-profit association sells off?

Honestly, it’s a fair question, assuming the association isn't totally broke. If they’re sitting on debts or outstanding obligations, once everything is liquidated, that money goes straight to the creditors to cover what’s owed. Heck, it could even happen before the liquidation is fully wrapped up if the creditors agree to swap those debts for equity.
We’ve seen this play out plenty of times where major sports clubs were drowning in debt to the government or public agencies, so they just converted that debt into shares. For instance, Manchester United is reportedly sitting on something like $200 million in liabilities—I don't know the exact breakdown, though.
Now, if a sports association is actually solvent or even sitting on a surplus, that cash from the share sale doesn't just vanish into some imaginary "seller" who's dissolving the entity—it flows directly into the capital of the new corporation.

that simply isn't true!
It would be more honorable to just fade away entirely than to compromise ourselves by adapting to any of those methods.

What’s the state of our local leagues? Honestly, if this new club actually gets off the ground, they’d probably climb their way up to at least the third division in no time...
But let's be real—the fans can't carry the whole weight on their shoulders alone. I mean, sure, we could pull it off if everyone truly stepped up—some people chipping in cash, others putting in the manual labor...

But just look at what happened with Mars or the Legion; they tried to run everything in-house without outside help, and we saw firsthand that it’s pretty much an impossible uphill battle...

Everything involved in this kind of venture comes with a massive price tag...

Still, if something actually starts moving forward, you can count on me to support it however I can.

Honestly, whenever I sit down and really ask myself what I truly think about things, I come to this conclusion: soccer in Chicago is never going to be what it used to be. It’s just not the same anymore. Whether we're talking about the old days of the Chicago Fire before all the corporate mess, the local futsal scene, or even those newer clubs trying to make a name for themselves... it's just gone.
Chicago has become the most unsportsmanlike city in the entire country, maybe even further than that...

What exactly isn't going to happen? Let’s be honest, there hasn't been any real football in Chicago for eight or nine years now. It feels like we barely have anyone left. The bitter, ugly truth is that there MIGHT not even be a Bad Boys presence today if it weren't for our branch chapters and teams outside of Chicago.
It was glaringly obvious during the recent matchup in Indianapolis, too. Those Indianapolis fans are among our best—if anything, they represent our strongest and most capable squad.

It’s only a matter of time before things start moving. When it does, I'll be right there at the front of the line, ready to grab the first bite. Just a little heads up.

Friends, you managed to rally a crowd of 300 people waiting in excitement on a Friday night during the middle of the month while we were heading back from Cleveland, which proves that you truly can achieve anything you set your minds to.

Honestly, I don’t get it. Where is all this pessimism coming from? Why does everyone insist on looking at the situation through such a bleak lens? Is everything truly as dark as you all claim? Look, I’m getting older, but I still hold onto the belief that in a few years, things will finally settle into their rightful place. I live for the hope that I might just live long enough to witness that thunderous, bone-shaking roar from the stands once again—that incredible synergy when the fans from the east and west sides unite. I miss those legendary matchups against the Los Angeles Dodgers, back when finding a ticket was a mission that took days of searching. Good grief, what a time that was. It feels surreal even telling a kid about these things today; they’d probably call me a liar if I brought it up at 3:00 PM. Back when we were kids in '86 and '87, cheering together was an experience you just couldn't replicate. We were all huddled together near Millennium Park, singing our hearts out. My boys would be stationed on the north side, while the fan club would completely pack the entire east stand—about 17,000 people—plus the upper deck. You could see the vendors rubbing their hands together in anticipation for days. I remember when they’d march into the east stand singing "Greetings to Chicago," and the north side would shout back, "Greetings to the fan club." It was breathtaking. That raw spontaneity is something you simply can't fake. For us, those moments were like a spiritual holiday.

To all the American sports fans out there—and those who just act like they belong to the clubs—I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope the New Year brings you nothing but health, happiness, and a fat bank account. Most importantly, I hope we finally kick this mafia out of our country once and for all.
