I’ve been lurking in this thread for a while now—just watching from the sidelines—and I finally decided it was time to actually put some money down. Most of you guys seem to swear by PayPal or BetMGM, so I figured that was the move. But then, get this—I went to check out DraftKings, thinking it would be straightforward, only to realize they're charging something like fifty cents per transaction (!?). It felt a bit off, so I wanted to see if anyone here already uses BetMGM could weigh in... what does it actually end up costing you in the long run? Or am I just totally misreading how this works?

Also, are there any other decent ways to pay—maybe something free—that aren't PayPal or BetMGM? My only real dealbreaker is that I really don't want to use a credit card.

They asked me for at least 120 Euro before I could pull anything out, but as far as the minimum stake goes, I don't think there's really a cap.
Honestly, my life got so much easier once I switched over to DraftKings.

Anyone here actually used ComeOn for betting? Thinking about jumping in, but wondering if anyone’s had any real experience with them... worth it or nah?

Honestly, life's been a breeze since I switched over to DraftKings.

They tried to hit me with that 120 Euro minimum withdrawal on PayPal because I used my Master card instead of depositing directly through PayPal.
I'm pretty sure the minimum account deposit is 5 Euro, and per bet, it's like 0.10 Euro.

What’s the verdict on ComeOn? Anyone actually used them before?

It's pretty desperate—the selection is honestly terrible.

Does anyone know how to bump up my card limit on DraftKings from the starting 500 Euro? I've tried all the other verification steps, but they just seem to raise my outgoing transaction limit instead of my deposit limit.

I’m pretty sure once you verify everything else, the deposit limit climbs along with the outgoing one. It's all connected.😉

I’ve already mentioned this, but US-based sportsbooks aren't exactly thrilled when someone from certain parts of the world tries to sign up. Basically, regardless of how you play—whether you're winning or losing—you're going to hit a betting limit pretty fast.

I thought Moneybookers was free, until I went to sign up and saw they charge half a Euro per transaction (?!). I want to hear from people who already have a Moneybookers account; tell me what the actual cost is (or maybe I'm just reading this wrong).

Are there any other free payment options besides PayPal and Moneybookers? All I care about is avoiding credit card fees.

Moneybookers hits you with a 0.50 Euro fee per transaction. It makes total sense, though—they aren't a charity and need to keep the lights on. Plus, there are plenty of perks (mostly legal ones, I think 😁) that make that 0.50 Euro feel like pocket change.

The payments through various channels have been left unspoken... Online wallets...As for transfers between the bank and the sportsbook—it’s not like things are unclear... everything is written down in black and white, but they just don't follow through...

Evo posta sa teme o online klađenju:

Here’s a snippet from the Law—I haven't gone through the whole thing again, I'm a bit pressed for time right now... so I might have missed something important...

There’s a Law right here...I actually went through the regulations that go along with this law—but honestly, my memory is failing me now... 😢

You're right—we actually touched on this during that thread about gambling and taxes... here it is... I don't have a link to work with yet... if you drop the text here, I'll get started right away... Man, just look at that comment... honestly...

These posts feel more like they belong in the online betting thread—so I'll move them over there tonight...

Thanks for the reply—I actually kind of forgot I even asked the question in the first place... 🤣

Basically, what really jumps out at me here is this...

Participating in foreign gambling if you're placing bets while physically located within the US... it falls under the Law of the United States...

This is just so unspoken...
What does "within the territory of the US" actually mean...

When I'm placing a bet at a sportsbook registered in Malta, I'm definitely not doing it under the jurisdiction of the US...
Or does he think you aren't allowed to deposit at online sportsbooks using an internet provider located here in the States...

Well, that would be a pretty clearly defined law by now...

This whole thing is a joke—honestly, if you brought this before any decent lawyer in a real court, it wouldn’t even be worth the paper it’s printed on... just completely useless.

🤷

You're betting from within the US 😉 the law is pretty vague right now, but honestly, that works in our favor. If they pass something strict like what they have in Italy, France, or Turkey, we're going to be in a world of hurt ☕

Are you using DraftKings? What’s your take on them so far?
What currency are you running with? Does the exchange rate eat up too much of your bankroll? I can't quite remember which one makes the most sense for deposits...

Are you using DraftKings? How’s the experience been so far?
What currency should I use? Am I going to get hammered on the exchange rates? I can't remember which one is actually the smartest way to fund the account.

Look, of course I use DraftKings. Trying to gamble online without it is basically asking for trouble—you’ll end up right on the radar of the IRS or your bank if you try anything else. I keep my account in Euros; it's way more efficient than messing around with Dollars.

@ Nicholas Palmer75

how long does it usually take for winnings to land in your sportsbook account from DraftKings, and then how long before they actually hit your personal bank account?
also, when you're withdrawing from DraftKings, are you sending it to a foreign currency account or just a standard USD one at your bank? do you lose much on the exchange rate, or is it pretty negligible?

How long does it take for the cash to hit your betting account from DraftKings, and how long until it actually lands in your bank account?
When you pull funds from DraftKings, are you sending them to a foreign currency account or just a standard USD one? And does the exchange rate eat a chunk out of your profit?

To the sportsbook, it’s instant. To the bank, expect 2-3 business days. I always pull to my foreign currency account—why on earth would I use a USD account when my online banking and PayPal are both set up in Euros?🤷

Hey everyone, I’m wondering if there's actually an online sportsbook where you can build player parlays like you would at a local betting shop... From what I've gathered so far, most of them only let you bet on singles or won't let you combine multiple players from the same game... Is there anything like that out there?

I'm talking about online books that don't hit you with those manipulative fees...

Give DraftKings or Bet365 a shot 🤷 but don't go in expecting miracles when it comes to player props combinations.

Look, DraftKings actually has the best NBA selection—they even give you options for up to 10 different players per game.

Yeah, sure, but try actually cashing out a win on those and they'll slap a limit on your account before you can even blink.

As for me, I just quadrupled my starting stake by betting on NBA players over at DraftKings. No limits in sight...

You're lucky. They limit people pretty easily. I don't know how you play, but if you're sticking to combo tickets, it makes sense why they haven't flagged you yet...
