but man, my absolute favorite scenes—if you can even call them that—are the ones where that little girl is tormenting the cat. 😢
unknown is basically a tripod in every single film they make. 😍
It really brings to mind Jean-Luc Godard and that wild sequence from Weekend

Great topic.
WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU??!!

I’m basically just here to sign off on this and add my two cents:
WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU??!!

I’m basically just here to sign off on this and add my two cents:
Harvey Keitel is one of the greatest actors ever. Fuck the Oscars, he never needed one. This is just overkill. He’s right up there with Marlon Brando, and neither of them ever needed an Oscar to prove they’re the absolute best at what they do.
WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU??
That line belongs in the AFI Top 100 quotes, easy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHX4JLcAq5M — Eyes Wide Shut (Kubrick) — honestly, the ice scene was a mess—and that grating music by whoever that singer was? Forget it.

There’s also that one courtyard scene; the film Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom — I can't seem to find it on YouTube, though I'm certain I've seen it before.

Absolutely stunning scenes.
But honestly, I think Pier Paolo Pasolini pushed the boundaries further than anyone... a truly great Italian director—hats off to him, Pier Paolo Pasolini.🙏 🙏 🙏

However, I believe Pier Paolo went further than anyone else... he was a truly great Italian filmmaker. Hats off to Pier Paolo Pasolini. 🙏🙏🙏
Pier Paolo Pasolini is brilliant. The finale of Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom, is easily one of the most powerful sequences ever filmed, though for obvious reasons, you won't find it on YouTube. 😁

These are excellent! Such a fantastic theme.
Since we are talking about Aronofsky, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxyP_...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx7Tr...ure=relatedThe Fountain; personally, I found the entire film to be quite the emotional trip, and the soundtrack fit perfectly.

It certainly is, much like Jodorowsky or even Mount Sinai, as previously noted. 🙂

Speaking of Darren Aronofsky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxyP_...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx7Tr...ure=relatedThe The Fountain; personally, the whole movie was quite a trip—pure emotion—and the soundtrack fit perfectly, too.
Thanks. And honestly, it’s hard not to get tired of everything. As for The Fountain—visually stunning, sure, but I wouldn't call it great. It's a weaker Aronofsky entry.
And where is that scene from A Clockwork Orange—you know, when he uses that porcelain object to kill the old lady? The Raskolnikov routine, just swap the axe for a... well, you know.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_vrLGXUMGQ
Can we all agree this one is a trip too? Just ten minutes of footage captured at once—kudos to Michael Fassbender.Canada —Steve McQueen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq0SETWIO8U
Then there's the intense stuff from John Carpenter. Take The Fog—when that mist starts rolling in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8nRD...eature=related
Prince of Darkness. Not this one below—one doesn't even forget this one, especially when Satan shows up or Alice Cooper appears with a dead bird.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGsv0...eature=related
And this one... haha.Ravenous—easily one of the coolest things I've ever watched, and that music—Duelling Banjos—is perfect.

You actually watched it? 😁
If I’m counting right, the dialogue goes on for about 22 minutes, while the actual continuous shot lasts a solid 17 minutes. 🙏

In my book, this is hands down the best trip scene in the best psychedelic movie of the year—Valhalla Rising.

Apparently, actual Vikings were often high as kites, which is something movies have pretty much ignored until now.🙂

I mean, there are hundreds of incredible sequences in that movie—like when the guy is hooking up in his car, or that part where he talks about what the neighbors would say if they went to a therapist, or even that creepy moment where the kid gets given sleeping meds 😁 and so on... but this specific part is just so powerful 😁
Okay, so we had that interesting dialogue, and now we're back to something purely visual
man with the movie camera

It’s honestly hard to pick out one standout moment because the entire film is so damn impactful. You've got those urban scenes with the streetcars, then the crowds relaxing on the beach, and specifically that shot of skipping over the driftwood using prehistoric techniques, or people opening their windows in the morning, and all those little details... but this segment stuck with me because it's unbelievable that he edited this as a silent film, yet with this music, it plays out like an incredible music video. It’s wild! You just don't see editing like this anymore. When I think about everything the Soviets might have captured if Stalin hadn't been around... man, what a tragedy.
And now we have this guy, the patriotic businessman and legal expert... some nonsense in broken English 🙂))))

Mostly great picks here.🙂
I honestly don't think the Lord of the Rings trilogy—regardless of how people feel about its quality—has any trip scenes quite like these, if we're talking about Steven Spielberg's style.
The biggest massacre in history. 🙂

Well, Google is always there to correct us, isn't it? 👍My bad—I just guessed 10 minutes from memory; I wasn't actually timing it.
Of course I've seen the film. It's out. Honestly, I watched it because of Michael Fassbender—he’s easily one of the best actors working today. As for that scene... yeah, I messed up. I knew it was long, but I didn't realize how much. Don't worry, though—I'm not one of those people who critiques a movie without actually sitting through it.
That whole sequence is a complete trip—that brutal part with the baton and someone's butt, plus the improvised urinals? 🤮 Still sticks with me. But I guess you can't experience all that through YouTube.

Obviously I saw the movie. It’s out in theaters now. Watched it mostly for Michael Fassbender—he’s one of the best actors working today. As for that scene... yeah, I totally messed up. I knew it was a long, pointless stretch. But don't worry, I'm not one of those people who talks trash about a film without actually sitting through it.
That scene is a total trip for me—still stuck in my head. Especially that brutal part with the baton and someone's butt where they make those little basins for pissing.🤮 Can't really catch that kind of stuff on YouTube.
The whole "did you see it" thing was just a joke because of Powerbeat Fassbender.😁
Fass is great, real Bale-ovski performance.🙏 For me, besides that conversation, the heaviest part was that continuous shot of the hallway when they were peeing on him and the guard had to deal with it.🙏

Matthew Anderson4 said:That "have you seen it" comment was just a joke—all because of Powerbeat Fassbender. 😁
Fassbender is truly top-tier—that Bale-ovski role was something else, wasn't it? 🙏 For me, the standout moment during that whole conversation was that one continuous shot of the hallway—you know, the one where they were just letting it flow? Makes you wonder if the guard actually had to buy it himself. 🙏
Well, damn. My brain is running about as fast as a snail today—I was planning to be productive this morning, but after scraping by on only three hours of sleep last night, I’m basically a zombie. Not exactly feeling much sunshine or smiles right now.😁Mainly regarding that dream sequence—the one involving the river—and the whole business with the urine. Re-read my previous post. Pišoka equals urine, plain and simple.
So, everyone’s little accidents have somehow morphed into snakes crawling down the hallway—how charming. What kind of twisted naturalism are we dealing with here?😁
So, you’re probably comparing him to Baleon because of The Machinist—is that it? Personally, I find Fass much better. Besides, he’s not exactly my cup of tea. The Machinist..

When all those little puddles turned into snakes merging in the hallway. Heheh. Talk about realism.😁
And you're probably comparing him to Baleon because of The Machinist. Personally, I prefer Fass. And honestly, The Machinist wasn't even that great. The Machinist.
Yeah, that scene 🙏
