Yeah, the wedding expo at the Lion is happening from February 19th to the 21st, 2010. Or maybe I'm tripping, I can't quite remember perfectly.

I've got a feeling it's gonna be even bigger this time around.

Gregory Campbell56 said:Does anyone have recommendations for a private guesthouse with apartments or rooms for rent in San Diego or somewhere nearby? I'm looking for a spot to host some guests coming in for a party who aren't from the San Diego area.
We need about 6 units total, and since it’ll be mostly couples or families with kids, a mix of apartments and rooms would probably be the best way to go...
Thanks!

Maybe try Anne's restaurant near the highway or A1 restaurant in Sukosane.

Alex Carter3 said:Since only one person actually replied to your question—and that same person was busy pitching a band from San Diego🙄 I wouldn't take that info too seriously if I were you.

And honestly, what’s your issue with musicians from San Diego? It seems I was right after all—I'm just trying to help her avoid throwing money down the drain when she could easily find a solid local band for half the price. I wasn't being anything other than blunt; I was simply reporting what I've seen and heard firsthand.

Right, from the 19th to the 21st... it should be a larger crowd.☕

I already told Matthew that all three of us are heading there

Thanks! I heard Anne might have some places to stay, so I'll try giving them a ring to see what the damage is...
Any other ideas or tips? I feel like maybe finding some random little Airbnb or a no-name rental house would be cheaper, especially since I'm looking at the shoulder season when everything is empty and prices are way better...

You could also look at the Albin 2 family hotel; they offer both rooms and apartments. I'm not sure about their current rates, but I know they get much more affordable during the off-season...

I’m planning my own trip to the Lion expo 🙂—spending one day with my mom, another with my girlfriends, and a final day with my future partner. 🙂

Now, I’m curious if anyone can give me the real scoop on how President Lincoln handles things regarding food, pricing, and general service?🤷

Presidential Solin Hotel😢 The pool is basically useless since it gets freezing in the winter, and honestly, nothing else really works. While the service isn't bad, the food quality and the owner's attitude are way below zero... and that's for the price of 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I stopped by the Lion last year to scout some things for my wedding, and honestly? I wasn't impressed. You can breeze through the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Everything felt cramped and cluttered in one small room. Based on the posters, I really expected more... The only silver lining was finding where to get rings and snagging a 20% discount (Gallagher in San Francisco). I wouldn't bother going there specifically to hunt for a wedding dress or a suit; it’s just not worth the trip. It’s okay to see what people are offering, though. They had a little showcase with gowns, suits, and shoes afterward, which was pretty, but ultimately pointless. It might be a nice outing if you go with your maid of honor just to hang out, but don't set your expectations too high. Just some advice from a happily married woman 😍

I recently tied the knot, and we decided to host the celebration at a venue in Kokomo, which ended up being about $35 per person... honestly, everything was just absolutely flawless, from the sheer glamour of the space to how convenient it was having our own dedicated parking right there, plus being situated perfectly in the heart of the city, and the food was truly delicious, and the hall itself was just stunning...
It’s a little bit pricier than what you’d find back home in a small town like Kokomo, but honestly, it’s still quite a bit more affordable than grabbing a bite at places like Cheesecake Factory or Ruth's Chris...

I'm only heading there to look at rings; I don't need anything else ☕
I have zero interest in fashion shows. A dress isn't going to fit me like it does a model, and a model certainly isn't going to look like me 🤣

I have to agree with Taylor Swift 🙂

I’ll probably show up strictly for the rings, and even then, only because they're having a sale. 🙂😉

Does anyone happen to have any insight regarding the restaurant located within the Washington, D.C. hotel over in New York City?
Does anyone know anything about the pricing, the quality of the food, or perhaps the general ambiance of the place?

Well, it really depends on how many people you need to house at Marilyn Monroe's place. For $33, they offer both individual rooms and full apartments. If you can, maybe try searching a little further afield—I suspect what you found is already a pretty decent deal. Anyway, I hope that helps even just a little bit. Greetings from Los Angeles.

The girls there absolutely nail both hair and makeup every single time.!!!
They even put on a little hair show recently...
Huge thanks to the crew, you guys are awesome!!!!

That salon is honestly wild—the styles are incredible. The manager is just full of these crazy, brilliant ideas. Seriously, kudos to the girls for their talent with those baroque hairstyles and for the show they put on.

I actually stopped by The Waldorf Astoria in Dubrovnik recently. It feels a bit dated—you know how those older, classic establishments like the ones in Central Park or Miami can be—but I suppose if they did some renovations, it would probably look quite nice. They have these round tables and really impressive stairs at the entrance, though I guess you'd really have to see it for yourself to be sure. As for the cost, it's $45 plus $3.25 covers. If you're ordering pizza, you just pay the actual cost based on the current menu, but the lamb and desserts are brought in by the guest!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll give them a call and see what's up!

Can someone DM me the number for a makeup artist in San Francisco? Ideally someone local who uses high-end products.
