Thanks. I actually had no idea the New York City Ballet even did catering—please don't judge me, I haven't lived in Savannah for ten years now. Does anyone happen to have a ballpark figure for what they might charge? I'm just looking for an average price point for a "standard" menu serving roughly 120 people.
🤷

Thanks! Honestly, everything I saw on their website looked alright, but I really wanted to hear from someone who actually listens to them before I drop any cash...😁

Does anyone happen to know where the Visa bakery is actually located? I’ve been trying to track it down, but I just can't seem to find it...

I'm thinking maybe around $70-$27
per person...

It's right near St. Jude, you know, those little churches... we actually went a bit crazy trying to track it down ourselves🙄

Same here—I’m another bride-to-be getting ready to tie the knot soon. We were originally aiming for this summer, but we aren't going the traditional route.
The plan is an early church ceremony, followed by a lunch for about ten people including immediate family and our wedding party. Then, in the evening, we’ll host a party for a group of about 50 friends. We're thinking about renting out a local lounge or cafe and bringing in outside catering, a DJ, and the rest.

I've been lurking on this forum for a few days hoping someone would have touched on this topic, but no luck so far.

So, I’m asking for recommendations (or anyone willing to share their experience) regarding decent venues in San Francisco or the surrounding areas that could handle this kind of setup.
Ideally, it would be somewhere near the coast with both indoor and outdoor space, just in case the weather turns sour. It doesn't need to be anything overly fancy.

Thanks, ladies!

Hey ladies, does anyone know if there's a flower wholesaler out in San Francisco or maybe further south toward Memphis or somewhere? And if you've actually picked up stuff from a wholesaler before, are the prices really that much lower than what you'd pay at a regular florist shop? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking in this PDF thread for quite a while now without saying much, but I figured it was finally time to jump in because I could really use some collective wisdom. A close friend of mine is getting married next September, and since she’s trying to be proactive about booking the venue, photographer, and band a full year in advance, we’re officially in planning mode. For the venue, she’s settled on Dell in Durham. She hasn't picked a photographer or a band yet, so I was hoping you all might have some recommendations for reliable groups or studios that haven't received any complaints here... Regarding photography, I know people have mentioned liking Dalmacia and IBM, but does anyone know of other solid options within a $1,500 budget? (Nothing like photo Mark 😢 ). Also, if you have a specific recommendation for a photographer or videographer at one of those studios, please let me know!
As for the band—they are looking for a group that can play both American and international rock. They want a sound that isn't too "foreign" or niche, but they also want to be able to play some classic American hits (just nothing too cheesy like Elvis Presley, Lopez, Joel, or similar stuff)
Thanks so much for the help... 😍

HAIRSTYLIST IN SAVANNAH

Hey there! Can anyone recommend a solid hairstylist in Savannah? I’m heading to a big gala in Savannah, and naturally, everyone wants their hair looking perfect before we head out for the evening. If you know someone who actually knows what they're doing with hair in Savannah, please let me know.

Thanks a million, cheers!

I finally got around to trying that Delta cake—you know, the one they’ve been stocking over at Target lately—and honestly... 🙏

Of course, I am just one more young lady🙂 who is in desperate need of some assistance.
The wedding is set for August 28th in Savannah, and aside from the venue at an ExxonMobil facility near the coast, we have nothing else reserved.
I urgently require information regarding bands, catering services, photographers, and so on...

I can only really weigh in on the catering situation, mostly because I’ve spent my own fair share of time trying to wrangle those details myself. I know the New York City Ballet venue offers catering services, though your total cost is going to fluctuate wildly depending on how many guests show up. When I was looking into it for about 120 people, they quoted me roughly $20 per head.

Hey there! So, I might be able to help you out a little when it comes to finding a band... I was actually at a reception just a couple of months ago where The Comedy Store band from Chicago was playing. Honestly, they absolutely blew me away.👍
