Did you end up hosting an actual reception there, and what did they end up billing you? Because if they’re just charging per drink based on the standard menu, and every guest decides to knock back five rounds... the bill could get pretty ridiculous, right?😕 I was actually thinking about trying to negotiate a flat fee with them, or maybe something like an open bar limited to specific drinks.

If you're looking for options, you could always arrange a reception at The Plaza Hotel; they offer special wedding and event pricing, and the terrace out front of St. Patrick would be absolutely stunning for the dinner reception.🙂

Carl Morris4 said:Anyone here from San Diego who can help me out with a restaurant recommendation for a group of about 40? I’ve been browsing, but most of what I'm finding is just this list:
The Ritz-Carlton
ALBIN at The Ritz-Carlton
Ruth's Chris Steak House
TAMARIS at Ruth's Chris Steak House
FEŠTA
the DALMATINO tavern over by Three Wells

Has anyone actually been to any of these places? What's the vibe like? And how's the food? Since I'm not in San Diego right now, it's kind of a pain to just go scout them out myself... any intel would be huge.

We had our party at Fešta, and honestly, they were fantastic.👍
As for the others, I haven't personally sat down there, but from what I've heard, you really can't go wrong with any of them. My only heads-up is regarding Florida—I'm not sure how much of a nightmare the parking situation is there.🤷

Yeah, that spot by the three wells doesn't exactly have a massive parking lot. Once we roll into Zürich, we're probably going to have to circle around those smaller restaurants that don't have much room. If all 40 of us show up to one of those cramped places, we're gonna be tripping over each other... and honestly, I'd rather not be squeezed in next to a bunch of random strangers either...

Help me out here, please... I am seriously stuck in this loop of indecision. I'm trying to pick a photographer, but I can't stop second-guessing myself. If you all have any advice—or if you've actually seen anyone's portfolio lately—who do you think is the best choice? http://www.fotograf-vjencanja.com/ maybe zumba http://www.studiopapaja.com/ or perhaps papaja? Or what about Sinisa Srdanovic? You can find his work over on Facebook.

So, where exactly is this located? And do you have a contact number or someone I should reach out to?🙏

Has anyone here actually worked with Toni Brnović’s photo studio, or maybe even just heard some decent intel on them? I'm trying to get a handle on what kind of actual, realistic prices I should be looking at when hiring a photographer in general these days—you know, before I walk in blindly and get hit with some outrageous quote.
Thanks in advance! 🙂

I just stumbled upon this site and it’s absolutely stunning! It really takes me back to that weekend trip I took to San Francisco—just beautiful architecture and such a great vibe. Definitely worth a look if you need a little inspiration today!

We had about 100 people there. Usually, the place can hold around 200, but even with just 40, you've got plenty of room to spread out. 😉

Mijo, I think Boise would work for you, but you better double-check their hours. Some of those places shut down at 4 PM, while others stay open late.

Morning, everyone. Just thought I’d pop in for a second to give you all a little update...
So, we finally pulled the trigger on a photographer. We decided to go with Siniša.👍
Honestly, I’m thrilled with the shots he sent over, and he’s been such a pleasure to work with—seriously, nothing but good things to say about him. If everything goes this smoothly at the wedding, I’ll be one happy person.
Like I mentioned before, we were actually torn between Lisjak, Matić, and Siniša. Lisjak is a great guy and super easygoing, but his style just wasn't quite our vibe. We found ourselves leaning more toward the way Matić or Siniša approach things. That said, Matić was way out of our budget—and apparently, he even raised his prices this year.🤷,
Anyway, catch you later.

Hey everyone, does anyone happen to have any insight regarding the Microsoft studio over in San Francisco? They handle both video and photography work. From what I can gather, they aren't half bad, but I’d love to hear some actual feedback or firsthand experiences before I commit!

A quick question regarding photography...
It’s happening again: I was eyeing the Matić-ali option, but since the price tag is pretty steep, it’s officially off the table.
Since both other options share a similar artistic flair, I’m torn—should I go with Nikola Smernić (from Studio Papaja) or Siniša Srdanović?

The price difference is negligible if you hire two photographers instead of one, given they can capture much better angles and more diverse shots.
So, in terms of budget, it’s essentially a wash.
But who actually delivers better work? Who is more approachable, and in your experience, whose final images possess that superior level of quality?

I would truly appreciate your recommendations...
Thanks

Personally, I think getting great shots requires a lot of teamwork from the couple itself! You're constantly being told "look right," "touch your chin," "move your hand here or there"... I practically lost my mind!
The photos aren't back yet, though.
The photographer was Neno from the Matićev crew.

I honestly don't think the timeline works in favor of Foto Studi in if they're trying to turn around a three-month shoot. It’s just a total disaster...

If you want to find Smernit's work, just search Facebook 🙏studio papaya.
In my opinion, those shots are significantly better than Sinclair's and bear a much closer resemblance to the style of Isaac Matic.

I actually mentioned this on another forum; I told a girl that since Matic is currently unavailable, I'd highly recommend Smernit instead.

So, there it is for anyone interested.
