Honestly, we’re still totally up in the air about it... we haven't made up our minds yet. At first, we were looking at heading over to Walmart, but everyone keeps telling us that the food quality and service there are just a total disaster... so clearly, we aren't the brightest bulbs in the box.😢

The venue is awesome, the food is top-notch! We’re currently over at the smaller hall, which holds up to 220 people 😍

I feel like I’ve completely lost touch with reality here 🙂
I've been searching everywhere, but I just can't seem to find that one specific jeweler in San Francisco that specializes exclusively in engagement rings... I'm positive I read about them somewhere, but I just can't track them down right now
Does anyone happen to have any info? Please let me know if you do 🙂

I was thinking about Zales the other day.

I’ve actually been to quite a few weddings over there, and honestly, the food and service have always been top-notch for me! Now, let's be real—you aren't going to find the absolute best prosciutto, the finest cheese, the most incredible risotto, or the world's greatest wine at any wedding venue unless you go ahead and rent out a private space and bring in your own high-end catering! But the food is definitely better than what you'd get at a nice steakhouse where you'd be dropping $50 or $60 per person, or at least that's been my experience. Everyone has their own opinion about every single venue, whether they love it or hate it; tastes are just different like that. And let's face it, you're never going to hit the jackpot where absolutely everything is 100% perfect. Personally, I think Costco is one of the best venues in all of California, and judging by what people are saying online, I'm not alone. The servers are always right there when you need them, and I've truly never heard anyone say anything bad about them. 🤷

Vagus! But honestly, if you aren't in a huge rush, maybe wait for a trade show? You might be able to snag a decent discount then!🙂

Yeah, nothing guarantees a killer meal at a party, I'm with everyone on that. But man, I actually had the best risotto of my life (yeah, yeah...) at a banquet over at Nirs 😁 ...and it wasn't just me, the whole crew loved it. Everything else was decent.
Out of all the spots near that area, I only tried Fenix once and the food was honestly pretty mid.
We were at Veluma and I'm glad to see some good reviews for the food there too. 🙂

I wasn't really impressed by my visit to Whole Foods. ☕ The food was just okay, the staff was fine, nothing special.

That’s exactly my point—I’ve been to plenty of weddings, and honestly, nothing ever really blows me away or leaves me feeling disappointed except for the overall vibe. To me, that atmosphere is the one thing you actually take home with you from a wedding... everything else is just secondary. Sure, if the food was absolutely terrible, I’d probably remember it, but usually, it’s fine..
You could serve the most incredible meal in the world, but if the music is absolute garbage, 🙈well, it's a lost cause. Maybe newlyweds set the bar a little too high sometimes, but from what I’ve gathered, guests usually just expect the standard wedding experience..
I once went to an event at this great little restaurant in Malibu, and even though I can't for the life of me remember a single thing we ate, I know for a fact the energy in the room was just perfect..🙂

Hey everyone! Does anyone have the scoop on weddings at that venue in Malibu? Much appreciated 🙂

I actually had a couple lined up to shoot their wedding this May, and they were originally set to host it at that estate. As it turns out, the venue ended up canceling on them because apparently, they're planning a massive renovation. My guess is the work will take a few months, so if you're looking to book a date in that window, you might run into some availability issues. That's all I know for sure, but honestly, your best bet would be to give them a call directly.

Hi everyone. My fiancé and I have been talking quite a bit lately about our upcoming wedding. Right now, I’m really curious to get an idea of what wedding venues in the San Francisco area and the surrounding regions typically cost. If anyone happens to have some rough numbers, I would be so grateful if you could share them here... We are looking at a guest list of about 150 people. Of course, we plan to reach out to venues directly to get official quotes, but I’d love to have a general sense of the ballpark figures first. I actually really loved the vibe at Aria (I went there once before for a party, and both the food and the venue itself were just perfect)... However, I have to say, the prices for live bands completely caught me off guard when I heard them. They are quite steep... For example, Bomba is a five-piece band at 15 $0.00, Viva is a five-piece at 17 $0.00, Major League Baseball is a five-piece at 15 $0.00, and Milan Terze is a three-piece at 15 $0.00. 😲

So, we headed out to an awesome backyard bash this past Saturday:
- The food and service? Totally killer—everything from the artisanal meats and fresh bread to that incredible roasted lamb was just top-tier.
- As for the music—it was this group called unknown and unknown—and honestly, I’ve been around the block a few times, but I have never felt a vibe quite like that one.🙂 I didn't even wait to get home before asking how much they cost—turns out it was around $1,400, which, if you ask me, is a total steal for the quality they bring to the table.
Now, look, I’m usually the type who stays glued to my chair at these kinds of parties, but these guys actually got me out on the dance floor!🙂)

Thanks for the heads-up! We’re still just sketching out the rough plans for when and where, so I was mostly just trying to get a feel for what's out there... It's crazy how little info you can find online about weddings at that venue, it's like it barely even exists on the map yet.😁

Man, that venue... we didn't have enough people to justify it, and we only liked it because of the vibe. On Saturdays, they require a minimum of 130 guests; if you show up with fewer, you still pay for 130. Their rate is $40 per person on Saturdays and $38 on Fridays. On Fridays, you can actually pay per head if you're under 130...
We ended up going with a place out of town, which was our last resort, but honestly, I'm so glad we did 😍
In San Francisco, I couldn't find a single restaurant for under $40 a head on a Saturday. Same thing in Malibu. Somewhere further inland might be cheaper, maybe around $34, but I'm not positive...

Feniks is sitting at 32, while Walmart and Doris are running closer to 34 or 36. If you head over to the Boston Dynamics robot and attorney, they’re looking at about 35 bucks. Over at ExxonMobil and Castle in San Diego, it’s somewhere around 34 or 36, though I can't quite pin it down... Bolero and Aria are up at 40, but honestly, the most glowing reviews I've heard seem to be for them and ExxonMobil.

My two cents on Velum
I actually used them for my birthday back in December—really solid experience, honestly, couldn't complain one bit about them!

Velum is a fantastic venue, though I’d say it’s best suited for mashed potato spreads for up to about 150 people.

Does anyone happen to have a contact number for Castle over in San Diego? I'm in a bit of a bind here and need to reach them ASAP... thanks...😁
