Hey there! I'm looking for some DJ recommendations in the San Francisco area for next summer. I've heard names like DJ Dupli and 😁 DJ Flies mentioned. If either of them has ever played at a wedding you attended, could you let me know? I'm also totally open to other suggestions if you have them. Thanks a ton!

DJ Dupli is definitely the best and most well-known guy in San Francisco. He knows how to set the vibe perfectly and really hits the right notes. He’s got my vote every single time. 👍

Noah Wright4 thanks so much! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about him, but everyone keeps warning me that he can be a bit "stubborn and has that classic San Francisco attitude" 😁 — honestly, I actually love that about him and would hire him in a heartbeat, but I'm just worried about how the other side might react... those upbeat folks from the Midwest! So now I'm stuck overthinking everything... Poor me 😁

Hey everyone.
I’m looking to get some feedback and hear about anyone's personal experiences regarding the rental space for the Pir Imenjak event at the TTTS venue in San Francisco.

Does anyone have any insight on MUŠAC? I'm looking for a band that covers a wide variety of genres... personally, I've never been much of a rock fan, and I can't stand that Thompson guy either.

. The venue (Dolis Dugopolje) is all booked for June 14th—now I’m just stuck thinking about the band...
. Basically, my top picks were Viva, Major League Baseball, and Taxi.
Viva is way out of my budget, Taxi is available but still a little pricey (I really thought they’d be more affordable 😕), and then I ended up listening to Major League Baseball on YouTube, which was honestly a bit disappointing. I saw them live at a party recently and remember having a good time, but after listening back... 🙄 well, then I stumbled upon the group Best, and they totally blew me away—plus, their price is actually the same as Major League Baseball.
Has anyone here worked with the group Best lately? Like, have you seen them play at a wedding or something recently?
Thanks!

I don't think YouTube gives you a true sense of what a band actually sounds like. It is always a different experience once you are there in person. From everything I have heard, even the "good" bands sound significantly better live than they do on a screen. The only time it seems to work the other way is when "mediocre" bands sound better on YouTube than they do live, but I won't name names...
You might want to check out Twist OFF or the Pink Panther....

Look, Mušac isn't half bad, but he spends way too much time trying to entertain the Barbary crowd instead of focusing on the music.

Just head out to a local backyard BBQ or a dive bar where they're playing this weekend; trust me, that's the only way you'll truly know... I'm speaking from firsthand experience here...

I'm not sure if I'm replying too late, but honestly, that's just not fair! 🙂 I actually just posted a comment about them on another thread. When they did my shoot, both photos and video, they were absolutely wonderful to work with... but then I saw some clips from the Denver show 🙂 you can find their footage on YouTube, so take a look for yourself. 🙂

We actually had a special dinner out on the terrace at Grašo. Honestly, the food was fantastic. We had everything from fried shrimp and sesame chicken strips to the classic prosciutto and cheese, plus canapés, deep-dish pizza, savory pies, dessert, and fruit... The servers were wonderful, too—they really thought of everything. Every time we ran low on something, they’d just bring out more! Plus, you can't beat that view. 🙂

Bravo band is absolutely fantastic... I actually hired them for a party once, and they completely blew everyone away. They might be a bit on the pricier side, but trust me, they are worth every single penny you spend.

Bravo Band is good, but let's be real—they just can't compete with Viva, Major League, Best, or anyone else in that tier.🙂

Anyone got any good suggestions for a band playing in San Diego?

Does anyone have recommendations for a restaurant or a venue where we could gather before the big party? I live in an apartment, and since I'm hosting 80 people—which is quite a crowd—it wouldn't be very comfortable to squeeze everyone in there.

I'm still weighing my options regarding the studio, but at least the band is officially booked. We listened to the male and female vocals for Apocalypse 😉, and we didn't have to think twice about it. The price is reasonable, and they were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to 😉

I second the recommendation for Apocalypse... I found them through a referral and was blown away. They have my full endorsement... Best,

I can't say I know any bands based out of San Diego, though I do know that most of the groups from Miami wouldn't hesitate to head over to San Diego without any trouble, provided, of course, that their travel expenses are covered.🙂

Exactly my point.

The only group I know out of San Diego is Tempo, but honestly, you're way better off booking someone from Miami. 🙂
