Mine is back in a small town in the Midwest—it's the church of John the Baptist, and the priest there is actually a really nice guy 🙂

Has anyone actually dealt with the flower shop At Ana's over in San Francisco?

I was thinking about getting something for the feast of Saint Duje. I found these killer shoes online, but obviously, they’re way out of my budget even for that day.
So now I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with Ledenko? A woman who works there told me they could basically make an identical pair for me.

Quick question for any ladies who’ve shopped at Ira Commerce... their site doesn't list prices, but I caught a photo showing a pack of 144 rose charms for lapel pins that was under $4.25. Is that still the deal? Also, does anyone know what those heavy-duty ribbons go for? Thinking about placing an order if they're actually cheap since I don't live near ST...
Thanks for the help.

Adam Sanders4 said:I truly cannot say enough good things about the Marriott; from the exquisite cuisine to the impeccable service and the overall atmosphere, everything was simply wonderful.

The servers were incredibly efficient and attentive, and I actually got the impression that there were more staff members on hand than there were wedding guests—though I did hear a rumor that many of them were college students working through a campus job placement program.

Our celebration took place outdoors, right on the scenic plaza.

As for the cost, I didn't catch the exact figure because I forgot to ask the newlyweds, but my best guess is that the pricing is pretty much in line with what you would expect at any other high-end banquet hall in the country.

Well, I’m not entirely certain if you mean the Radisson located in San Francisco, but if you do, their most affordable menu starts at around 67 dollars.

I’m honestly just looking for some killer Gypsy musicians or maybe even some real deal performers who could swing by after midnight to get the party going at a wedding... I’ve been scouring the internet and Googling like crazy, but I haven't stumbled upon anything decent yet... Does anyone happen to have a lead or some info that might actually help me out...

maybe check with the staff over at Rusulic. They used to play there almost every weekend, so you might be able to get a lead if you can track them down... or just hit up some local bars where they usually perform.

Terry Howard7 said:Anyone here been to a wedding at the Grand Hyatt lately? I'm trying to get the scoop on the food, the service, and everything else

Now that I’ve finally recovered from Saturday, I can actually write something coherent. My brother got married, so I basically know the drill with all this stuff. 😁

Aside from the fact that the hotel and the hall are pretty old-school, everything was great. The string lighting really helped hide the dated, mid-century interior design. The staff was incredibly polite and on top of things. The tables were fully stocked with everything we needed.

The menu for me was classic. We had cheese, prosciutto, and French bread, followed by white and black risotto, then beef stew with gnocchi, and veal medallions with fries and peas, finishing off with roasted lamb. Honestly, the food was excellent—zero complaints. I’ve been to plenty of banquet halls and hotels, but this was genuinely top-notch.

They added dessert platters for about $1 per person, so the total came out to $36 per head.

It’s also a big plus that the hotel offers very affordable rooms, so out-of-town guests have a place to crash, and obviously, those who had one too many drinks don't have to worry about the drive.

Anyway, highly recommended!

Hey, quick question—how far in advance should I book an appointment to try on wedding dresses? Specifically looking at Mila Marani, Vera Wang, Pronovias, and La Perla.

Thanks for the help.

If you want the cheapest heavy-duty ribbons, you're better off checking out Rosebud Commerce over by the border.

What's the average number of shops you can hit up in a single afternoon?

If you aren't rushing through everything like you're on a deadline and actually want to take a second to see what catches your eye, I'd say maybe two stores?

Hey there... we booked the Radisson (the one out on the plaza) and they quoted us $107 per person—that doesn't include drinks or dessert, just their basic starter package.
As for kids, anyone under 7 gets half off.

Hey everyone! 🙂
Has anyone ever heard of the Say Yes lounge over in Santa Monica? I’ve been scrolling through some sites online and it looks pretty amazing... does anyone actually know anything about this place?

It's actually a hall owned by the Arcade restaurant. They have a presence on Facebook and seem to be running some pretty heavy promotions lately... they're doing a giveaway, so I'll just paste what they posted on their page here:
Dear friends,

Due to overwhelming interest from engaged couples, our sweepstakes will be extended until February 7th, 2014. The winners will be drawn on February 9th, 2014, at the Say Yes salon. We look forward to seeing you and wish you the best of luck in the drawing:

• A free wedding for 200 guests (includes: floral arrangements from Mirela Florals, lighting by MediaRent, and the wedding cake from The Bakery)

• Open bar for all guests (regardless of guest count)

• Welcome cocktails upon arrival (your choice, served by a professional mixologist)

• Professional wedding photography (Loha Studio)

• A complimentary Saint Jude cake (M-K)

• Free pastries (The Cookie House)

• Complimentary wedding videography (MegaGraph)

• Free wedding bouquet and boutonnieres (Mirela Florals)

• A gift voucher worth $333 toward wedding rings
(Reic Jewelers)

• Free hair and makeup for the bride and maid of honor (Split Style & Top Line)

• Free balloon decor valued at $667 (Fiesta Balloons)

Anyway, my sister is getting married soon (I went through the whole thing last year)... we did a tented reception under a marquee once, and if I recall correctly, their rental rates for tables and chairs were a bit excessive—it was nearly twice as cheap as what they're offering here. 🙂))))) Though, I have to admit, this Arcade promotion sounds pretty enticing... the main catch is likely how much it costs to book the venue itself. From what I can see, the giveaway applies to anyone who reserves a date, so if you win, everything is free, but if you don't, you might end up paying quite a bit out of pocket, haha (or maybe not... who knows?)🙂🙂🙂🙂:

Does anyone happen to know if there's a spot around here where I can rent out some candelabras or other decor like that...

I think it looks great and fresh too, but Drace doesn't really call to me as a spot for a party. They're running some kind of giveaway for a free party, though.
