Any suggestions for a duo (accordion and guitar) or maybe a trio (adding one more instrument) for some background music during an appetizer hour at a venue?

Carl Collins5 said:My boyfriend and I actually went by the Radisson recently to check out their wedding venue options, but the manager told us she’d reach out once they have all the formal quotes finalized. It sounds like they're juggling a few different packages right now, and obviously, the price fluctuates quite a bit depending on what's included in the deal.
You basically get to choose between having the reception in an indoor ballroom, the restaurant, or out on the terrace overlooking the beach—though that terrace is already looking pretty much fully booked for next summer, and naturally, that's the most expensive option since you'd also have to handle all the lighting arrangements yourself.
Personally, we fell in love with the restaurant setting; two of the walls are entirely glass, which is gorgeous, and you can even step out toward the pool area where they can set up tables for an appetizer bar.
Oh, one thing to keep in mind—if you decide on the restaurant, they won't be able to host the celebration there until after October at the earliest, just because of their existing guest schedule.
As for the cost... she mentioned they haven't nailed down the exact numbers yet, but it definitely won't be dipping below $44 per person.

I wanted to refresh this thread a bit and add some follow-up thoughts regarding the photographers mentioned on page 289. I actually sat down for a meeting with Bob from Studio bor. His studio is located over in Pazdigrad. He has a massive portfolio online, and he walked me through quite a few shots while I was at the studio. Personally, I find his work beautiful. In terms of pricing, he’s easily the most budget-friendly option available—his entry-level package is $1567, while his premium tier goes up to $3167. However, I have to admit the physical albums and books didn't quite wow me. That said, he’s definitely worth considering; his style will certainly appeal to the right person.

Well, I finally have my photographer locked in! I’ve decided to go with Gašpar because I truly believe he offers the absolute best value for the money. I am genuinely in love with his photos, and the fact that he consistently wins awards for top-tier wedding photography at Pixot speaks volumes about his talent. Regarding video, we can arrange to have a second camera on a tripod for an additional fee, which I think addresses the exact gap I noticed when watching the footage. On top of that, several of my close friends chose Gašpar and his videographer for their weddings. They all recommend them wholeheartedly and have nothing but glowing praise for both; they were thrilled with both the stills and the video, and I’m crossing my fingers that my experience next year is just as perfect 🙂 It honestly means the world to have people share their real-life experiences with you. I really hope that by walking around and doing this legwork, I might be able to help someone else out too.

So, there we have it! We’ve secured the church, the venue, the band, and the photographer. We should be smooth sailing for at least the next six months! 😁

I was just about to ask about Studio bor. 😁
I really like the photos on their website, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen their video work?
Please share your experiences...

It looks like my timing was absolutely perfect! 😁 He showed us some of his films, and we were genuinely impressed by the quality. You should definitely send him an inquiry and set up a meeting; he will be more than happy to walk you through everything.

Can someone provide a list of all the bridal salons in San Diego and the surrounding areas that are worth visiting?

Here’s a quick music recommendation for you guys... check out the band Phoenix 😉 They’re total pros and sound incredible—they've got a massive repertoire and a killer mix of male and female vocals. Honestly, they’re way too good... even if their calendar is usually booked solid months in advance, I highly recommend giving them a listen!!!

Just a quick heads-up, ladies—I hope I’m allowed to share this! I just spotted on Facebook that the Say Yes wedding venue is hosting a wedding expo from November 7th through the 9th.

I wanted to pick your brains on something—does anyone know where I can get a custom ring made? I’ve already got a photo of the exact design I want, but I’m looking for somewhere with reasonable prices. Also, I’ve heard rumors that it might be cheaper to just head over to Mexico to get gold jewelry since the rates there are supposedly much lower than what we deal with here in the States. I'm based in San Diego, but I'm not exactly looking to fly halfway across the world just for this, so please don't feel like you have to limit your suggestions to just my local area.

My wife and I both chose to work at Amor, and honestly, just look at this...

For those of you who attended the say Yes party back when they held those celebrations, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whether the music tends to bleed together? Since they have two separate parties running at once—one inside the main hall and another out under the tent—I can't help but worry about the audio overlapping and ruining the atmosphere.

The only thing overlapping is the money going straight into the boss's pocket!😉

They haven't actually hosted dual galas like this before... 🍿

How much of a wait am I looking at for a wedding venue? It doesn't need to be absolutely flawless. Ideally somewhere near San Francisco. Also, does anyone have any solid recommendations? Based on your own experience, how many guests usually show up once you factor in everyone who brings a plus-one?

Noah Jackson46 said:Mike is about $1,500. There's three of them (including a female vocalist). I saw them play a wedding once (there wasn't a girl back then) and they were good, fun vibes, but it really depends on what you're into.
A friend had a band play for $1,300 a few months ago, but I hated them (personally, though her guy loved them), so I didn't even bother remembering the name. I can check if you want.

Mirko bura has played at my parties before, and the feedback is always glowing—I’m personally more than satisfied. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with them.

I’d suggest checking out Lora over at Poljud... they should have everything sorted in just a few days. The manager is a true professional, and the food is top-notch. 👍
As for the price, it really depends on what you pick from the menu, but honestly, you can negotiate pretty much every little detail once you get there in person. 🙂

Hey everyone, back again 🙂 I want to get your take on which band I should book next. Here’s my shortlist: Taxi band ($2,400), Gabriel ($1,850), kocka ($1,950), Euforia ($1,850), or maybe Aura and Barbary ($1,950). Any recommendations? Thanks for the help! 🙂
