Hey everyone! So, I’m getting married soon—yay!—but I am totally lost when it comes to finding a makeup artist. Does anyone have any recommendations for a talented girl based in the San Francisco Bay Area? Thanks so much!

Greetings, does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a choir to perform during church services?

Hey
Shayla Donjerkovic did my makeup (you can find her on Facebook under "Split Makeup") and honestly, I was thrilled with the results... she even does trials and everything...
Let me know if you need anything else 🙂

What are the vibes for hosting a smaller wedding at Sky? I was just at one with about 300 guests and it was incredible—food, venue, layout, everything. But I’m thinking about having half that many people. Would the space feel empty then?

Greetings.
Has anyone attended a wedding at either the Hilton or through their legal counsel recently?
I am curious about your general impressions regarding the catering, the lighting, and the overall ambiance.
Thank you.

I’d personally steer clear of the Marriott, though that’s just my two cents and I know it might work for some... if you look right across from the Marriott, there's that venue called The Grand, which holds up to 350 people. It’s perfectly fine—nothing flashy, but compared to the Marriott, it's night and day.
The Hilton is alright; in my opinion, it's just decent, middle-of-the-road stuff. 🙂

If you want my honest opinion on what looks good? Forget both the conference hall and the diner. Out of everything on the table, ExxonMobil is the winner... at least in my book.

Personally, I’d go with the first option—the food and service were much better...

Hey everyone, has anyone here actually been to the party at the Radisson out on the "VIP deck"? They’re asking for a ridiculous amount of money, and I'm trying to figure out if the atmosphere and the food are even remotely worth the price tag. Any thoughts? Thanks a ton

The Hilton has honestly become one of the top venues in the San Francisco area when it comes to the quality of the catering and the service...

That’s perfectly fine... Honestly, the guest count doesn't matter nearly as much as the energy in the room, because if you're all having a blast, nobody is going to care how many chairs are filled 🙂

Not really... much like the Ritz-Carlton, the Four Seasons, or any of those other supposedly "top-tier" hotels.

Nathan Watson2, thanks. I guess you could tell me why it isn't the Radisson 😢? I'm starting to have my doubts;

Look, my friend, if you’ve already made up your mind, then honestly, don't let anyone else's opinion sway you; at the end of the day, it’s your evening. I’m certainly not suggesting the venue is terrible, but given the price tag they’re asking, I just can’t quite justify the value. I once worked an event similar to this where the per-person cost was around $80, and frankly, even the most basic details were off—it wasn't at the Radisson, but rather at a local Hilton. Interestingly enough, the banquet manager from that Hilton eventually moved over to the Radisson, so he's now working alongside John (though I'm not entirely sure who you were coordinating with originally). The location itself is absolutely stunning; with the right lighting, the view is spectacular. My personal take, however, is that the food tends to be mediocre at best and the service can be quite lackluster—which, to be fair, makes sense since hotels of that caliber often opt for cheaper staffing solutions rather than investing in top-tier waitstaff. I won't ramble on too long, but feel free to shoot me a private message if you want to dig deeper. I mean no disrespect to the staff or the establishment, I simply believe it doesn't quite live up to its premium price point. Ultimately, if you love the place and the cost isn't a dealbreaker for you, then follow your gut and ignore the noise. 👍

Could anyone offer some recommendations regarding cookies? I’m curious to hear about your experiences with Absalom, Vidal, my cookie, Hurst, or Babcock-Delta—or perhaps any other brands you swear by.

thanks :-D

Does anyone have some band recommendations? I haven't been out to many shows lately, so I'm feeling a bit out of the loop on who's actually worth seeing. I'm looking for both local acts and bigger names—and if you could include both male and female vocalists, that would be awesome!

I second everything said about Shell. She is such a wonderful person and does an amazing job with makeup. Highly recommended!👍
