Is this light show meant for the Midwest? Like, specifically for Indianapolis and stuff? 😬
I'm totally down for more info—shoot me a DM! 🙂

Nathan Cox25 said:It varies—some stylists will travel to you. If they work out of a shop, though, you’ll probably have to go to them.
Mine comes to the house, and she handles my makeup too.
DM me her name and price.

We're just talking about NYC—I was just giving an example. I'm sure there are plenty of socialites who head home specifically for a hair and makeup session 👍

Allow me to join the ranks of you lovely brides-to-be.
I actually have an offer for someone. I put down a deposit on a wedding dress at Nicholas, but unfortunately, I have to back out because I am—quite literally—broke. If anyone is interested in renting a gown from there, please reach out to me. You can take the dress, and in exchange, just pass my deposit along to them when you settle your bill. I handed over $233 in deposits! 😢😢

I figured I’d bump this thread back up a bit, maybe see if there are any ladies from the Midwest in here
and I guess I’ll ask again—has anyone actually had any experience with the local greenery or whatever they call that specific salad over in the Greater Savannah area?

Just wanted to jump in and breathe some life back into this thread! We’ve already scoped out the Elegant ballroom on the island, and honestly, it’s stunning. It can hold up to 700 people, but they can also partition it off beautifully for a more intimate vibe—perfect for our group of about 250. As for music, we looked at the band Art; everyone has nothing but praise for them, and I truly think they know exactly how to get a crowd moving. For photography, Krizmanić is looking at $4,800 without the thank-you gifts (though there are plenty of gift options available). He is such a lovely person, too; visiting him felt just like visiting family. Regarding the dress, we visited Stefany. I tried on about five different gowns before finally falling in love with one! Prices range from $3,000 to $5,000, and the best part? She told us there’s no pressure to decide right away—we can change our minds up until the very last minute. Plus, everything comes included: two baskets, jewelry, hair accessories, and even two boleros. Now we just need to pick up a shirt for him since he’s already set with his suit and shoes. Then there's the invitations, the bouquet, and the church decor. Everything else is covered by the venue, and a few friends and I are going to DIY some tassels ourselves. Hopefully, this helps someone out and gets the conversation moving again!

Here’s my setup too
next summer at my place in the backyard
a Ličanin tent for 750 guests / $2.75 per person + decor ($267) + a massive walk-in cooler ($0.47) + tablecloths ($200)
entertainment: a band from Slavonian brothers for $1,800
rehearsal band: the Panonia band from Lower Andrijevac $0.83
photographer: foto video Ličanin $2.00 including invitations and thank-you cards
I imagine it will just be one massive, collective drunken stupor fueled by good music that's scheduled to keep playing until about 9:00 AM 🙂))

I suppose I'll bump this thread, let's hear from some Midwest locals
I guess I'm asking again if anyone has experience dealing with the wedding venues over in Savannah.
Yeah, I've been to a few weddings out there, and while it's decent, you really ought to define every single detail before the big day. Otherwise, you might end up with guests drinking something like 30 bottles of Jagermeister🙂 which is exactly what one young guy had to foot the bill for🙂

Hey! So, where in the Midwest—maybe somewhere near Indianapolis or Savannah—can I find some tents to rent? I'm looking for something smaller, just for a little get-together at my place 😁, you know, just to be safe in case the weather turns sour...
#2471 ·
Well, I suppose it all comes down to the date. I booked my tent two months ago, and then sorted out the music about a month back. Maybe try looking for a rental service in Lower Andrijevac; I think I saw an ad online somewhere saying they carry tents in just about any size you might need.

I figured I’d weigh in here for a second... I actually dropped by Bugarin’s (which is basically like a local Whole Foods setup) the other day to talk about some home catering. Honestly, the pricing seems pretty reasonable, and I have to say, I was actually quite impressed with what I saw. They have three different tiers to choose from, and the most budget-friendly option starts at $25 per person. Though, if you ask me, you don't even need to worry about getting an exact headcount, because the portion sizes he offers per person are massive—you could probably feed three people with one serving. That price covers everything: Midwest-style meat platters, various fresh salads, pasta salads, bread, cheese and ham pastries, fruit, full cutlery sets, the buffet tables themselves, the bar setup, all the table arrangements, and enough servers to match your guest list. I’m genuinely thrilled with the selection; everything looks incredibly high-end. There are also more premium packages if you want hot entrees and a variety of gourmet sandwiches... you can even rent tents, umbrellas, and coolers from him. I suppose he really provides the whole package if you're trying to host something at your house.

Ladies, I need some help finding a photographer/videographer.
Looking in the Indianapolis area.
Any experiences or recommendations?
June 2011...
Just looking for someone average. I don't need a high-end luxury specialist, but I definitely don't want amateur junk.
Thanks! 😉

In my opinion, Rahela, Krizmanic, or Studio 69 are the best options. I've always heard good things about them.
By the way: Rahela is booked up starting June 11th for a year. 😁 😁 😁

Honestly, I saw some photos at a friend's place and I can't recommend Krizmanić enough—plus, everyone else seems to rave about him too. I also came across some testimonials for Sun photography, and they looked great, though I haven't seen their actual work yet. My godmother actually suggested Rahela Photography to me after they shot her aunt; she said the shots were absolutely perfect. But really, wouldn't it be best just to go visit them and see for yourself?

Personally, I think Studio 69 is the best, though they are quite pricey... you can find them on Facebook under Six Nine Studio...
They're actually fully booked for October 8th, 2011. 😍

Thanks a lot. I’m not on Facebook, but I'll figure it out.
I've heard they're decent, but their rates are significantly higher than other photographers. I might consider booking them if they happen to be available for my dates—provided it isn't October 8th. 😁

Has any of you ladies actually gone ahead and had your wedding dress custom-made?? I’m seriously thinking about doing it myself—well, having someone sew it for me—but I’m still totally indecisive about where to go..

We actually swung by their place when we were deciding between them and Photo Swift, and they seemed pretty cool. One of my guy's cousins used them, and her photos turned out lovely!
Honestly though, I don't see what the huge deal is with picking a photographer. You just show up, check out the shots, hear the price, and make a call...
