I suppose I have one more question for the folks from the Midwest—specifically, I’m hunting for some budget-friendly lodging for about 40 people over in Pittsburgh. If anyone has any leads on affordable spots, please, do help me out!!

I actually ended up going with that guy from Pittsburgh... I mean, why wouldn't you want him?

And honestly, I'm also looking for some solid places for my guests to stay over in Indianapolis...🙂

He's already booked up for my date on August 28th.

gentledriver92, you might want to give that guy over in Pittsburgh a call—if you haven't already, that is—just to see if he has any solid leads or knows someone else in the business who can handle this. I’ve always felt that people operating in those specific circles tend to have much better connections, so he might be able to point you toward someone reliable. 🤷

hey, thanks... but I think we had a misunderstanding. I already booked Igor from Pittsburgh for the 28th. I only mentioned him because of that girl asking the other one why she didn't just hire him... (turns out he's busy). Ugh, total mess. 😉

Wait, what’s the issue with the Pittsburgh option? I was actually leaning toward picking them up, so I’m just trying to weigh my options...

So, what's wrong with the one from Pittsburgh? I was actually thinking about getting that one, which is why I asked...

Honestly, you're better off just having the ring custom-made. It's way more cost-effective. I checked a few spots, and the best deal I found was at Zales over by Baumann—around $2,000 for a $733 combo of yellow and white gold, women's style with zircons, about 5mm wide. If you go thinner, they're cheaper. If you want them wider, you're looking at closer to $900... Basically, you just show them a photo or pick something from their catalog and they make it for you.

aha, now that I’m looking back over this again, I finally realize 😵
it was all just a massive misunderstanding, but I think we're actually on the same page now 😁

Check out the rooms at Magnus, you can reach them via Verizon XXXX in Gary, Indiana. I don't have their exact rates on hand, but I do know they are tidy and quite affordable.

At Verizon they’re looking for $33, so I might check out Colony Apartments instead. If I grab enough rooms for about 20 people, then it’s $17... anyone been there lately who can tell me if it's actually clean and decent?

Need some advice 🙂

We have a few people attending the wedding (mostly close friends) who need a place to crash. So, where should they stay?
Staying at the hostel in Vinkovci is $42 per person, while the Admiral is 135... Is it even worth it for $3.25 to be walking around if everyone else is already staying at the Admiral?
As for accommodation in Vinkovci, I'm still undecided..
If you have any leads on good places to stay, please let me know! 🙂

Michael Mendoza15 said:Hey ladies! I'm looking for some feedback on Petra and Anna’s dessert service in the Suburban neighborhood. How are the cakes they provide? Specifically, those included in the menu price. Since their desserts are under Fratelli catering, I assume the quality should be high, but if anyone has actually tried them, please share your experience. Also, does anyone know anything about the band Essekeri?

The venue is fine for smaller weddings—maybe up to 150 people max. The food was amazing.
Honestly, the catering at one of the local spots is miles ahead of them, and don't even get me started on the Hilton...

Angela Ross3 said:I’ve got a quick question for my friends in the Midwest—does anyone know of a decent flower nursery around here? I tried doing a bit of Googling, but all I keep getting hit with are endless results for pine trees, violets, and stuff like that 🙄

There is a lovely, large nursery in Vetov (9.9 miles) on the way from Požeg toward Kutjevo. There are actually two spots run by two sisters. One is right at the edge of town when you're coming from Jakšić, and the other is a bit further down. Everyone knows them.
One sister specializes in violets and potted plants, while the other focuses on roses.
If you need more specifics, just send me a DM.
I hope this helps.

Help needed from Robert Moore86! 🙂 Where can I put some guests staying in or around Gary, Indiana? I was thinking about the Hotel Đakov, Blaž, or maybe Mima... any other ideas?

We're putting the guests up at the T-Mobile hostel where we secured a rate of $42 per person.

Where exactly is that T-Mobile hostel located? Is it also in Vinkovci? How many guests are actually sleeping there? And I guess, is that price set in stone or was it some kind of discounted rate $42?

It seems some of you know that agency in Richmond that handles Lepidoptera's wedding planning. If you don't mind, could you share what their services actually cover? I'm looking for rough pricing and why you'd recommend them over others. Also, do they handle catering?

I suppose I’m facing the same issue... My in-laws are staying at the Admiral too. Only, since I need accommodations for about 100 people, would the price difference be 125 or 135?
Does anyone know of a decent hostel or motel around here? I guess. Maybe. $33 Staying at VK? I guess maybe.

sun25, weren't you supposed to have a Mirror studio for photographers too?

Hostel Plus is right downtown and their rates are actually pretty good $77 since they're brand new and renovated—personally, I think they're the nicest spot around. I've even booked wealthier older guests there because it's much nicer than staying at the Admiral. The owner also runs a hostel over in Cordelia where you can get a stay $45 at a discount.

For anyone asking about places to stay in Richmond, just be careful with Magnus. They seem cheap, but I heard that during events like the Catherinian Fair, exhibitors will book rooms and then just disappear without even picking up the keys. Do a little digging online first. As far as I know, there are also some apartments near the boardwalk.

Also, May 28th is my birthday, so we’ll have a double celebration.

That agency out of Richmond handles everything—literally everything you need. They even found me a guest registry for almost half of what most companies charge. Isidor is great and will get everything sorted!

Hello there! I am also on the lookout for some reasonably priced accommodations, though my search is centered in Indianapolis. 😕

I seem to have overlooked one detail, so I would be truly grateful if someone could suggest a reliable catering service here in Indianapolis. 🙂
