frozenangler87 said:I guess I already mentioned something similar over on the "Dream Wedding Dresses Vol. 2" thread, but I felt like I had to post here too because I think some Midwest women might get what Iโ€™m talking about better!

So, basically, my husband and I were walking past Rahelad's Photo studio last night to check out some wedding shots, and I just spotted this one girl in the most amaaaazing wedding dress.
It wasn't just your typical off-the-rack boutique gown; it had this intricate smocking all through it and a super modern cutโ€”it was just... wow!
I was honestly obsessed, it looked so gorgeous!
Now, I'm not sure if everyone here knows what smocking actually is, but if anyone happens to know how much a dress like that would run, I would be so incredibly happy to know!
I took a quick picture, but I feel kind of awkward posting someone else's photo on a forum like this!
Or, if anyone has any similar photos or something, please show me.
The style is sort of like those low-waisted dresses. The bottom part is really wide and flowy, but it's just the edge that has that smocked detail! And the bodice is just stunning too!!! Seriously! ๐Ÿ˜
I kept thinking about going into the shop and asking if they could give me the girl's number so I could call her and ask about it, but that feels kinda weird... I don't know... ๐Ÿคท

Back at a fair in Indianapolis, there was this lady who makes those exact types of dressesโ€”my sister was actually looking to buy one. The price tag was around $200. I also think Mouse makes something very similar.

Gremlin, are you currently in Warsaw or Indianapolis? (I ask specifically because of Rachel's Photo studio)๐Ÿ™‚
The gown youโ€™re describingโ€”that sheer, delicate styleโ€”was actually worn by a girl I knew back in Indianapolis...

As for wedding dresses... I'll have more details for you on Monday... basically... the lady at the boutique in Indianapolis is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly nice and she really knows her stuff!!! But now I'm totally indecisive about which one to pick from the selection. Everyone who knows me is being useless because they just tell me "you look beautiful" and "you look stunning" and blah blah blah... maybe I should just ask a complete stranger???

Well, at least the flowers are sorted ๐Ÿ™‚ which means you loved them too ๐Ÿ˜. And CONGRATS on the prize๐Ÿ‘

As for the dress... just upload some photos to the forum and we'll help you out ๐Ÿ™‚. Strangers are usually the most honest ๐Ÿ˜

Does anyone know where in St. Louis I can get t-shirts printed besides HIG? I need them on church blue or navy... they only do white over there.

Just buy whatever shirt you want and take it to any local print shop. They'll do what you ask. It's pretty straightforward.

Ronald Jones11: Wedding dresses aren't really my thing. None of them are quite right, but this last one looks best on you compared to the others.

If you know a specific place that actually does custom work, let me know. Everywhere I've called just does plain white tees.

It shouldn't matter if you bring your own shirts. I'm not entirely sure of the exact location myself, but when we were organizing things for Noriyada, we bought our own tees and dropped them off at a local print shop. They handled it without any issues, and it was pretty cheap. But if you ask them to provide the shirts, that's a different story. You just have to make it clear upfront that you're bringing your own. Even then, color mattersโ€”obviously, you can't print black ink on a black shirt and expect it to show up.

So, I actually have a buddy who does custom T-shirt printing and all that related gearโ€”he even designs his own lines. If you want to dig deeper into what he can do, just shoot me a DM or hit him up directly on Facebook

Angela Gomez4, thanks for reaching out. I checked with Mark Nguyen11 too, and they said it's only available in white. That's why I'm asking here for help... if I knew where to find it, I wouldn't be bothering you guys!

I also picked up pieces from the Warsaw women... they're great, one less headache.

So that's it thenโ€”all we can do is wait for The Day and post the pictures in order!๐Ÿ™‚

So, I ended up going ahead and picking the El Paso deal without even knowing exactly what I was getting into ๐Ÿ˜‚ ,but honestly, after reading all your glowing reviews and scrolling through those Facebook photosโ€”not to mention seeing them snag first place at the state fair and everythingโ€”I just thought, what the heck, I have to pick someone eventually! I gave the girls a call and transferred the deposit directly into my checking account, and then I'll just head down to sign the actual contract when I finally make it in ๐Ÿ™‚
Maybe Waldo will feel generous enough to let me have a turn at the tombola too ๐Ÿ˜

No. There is an appropriate thread for that.

This goes for the other ladies too.

Does anyone know which bridal boutiques in the Midwest carry Deloitte wedding dresses? I think I asked this before, but maybe nobody saw it?

Does anyone know where I can pick up some decent rosemary around Indianapolis? Looking for the good stuff, and maybe a heads-up on what I should expect to pay.

In Indianapolis! I was actually there and saw it myself! And man, I even checked on the price and it totally freaked me out! ๐Ÿ™‚

If you happen to have a connection living on the coast, just ask them to ship a whole bush to you via a Greyhound bus...

I actually have an uncle down in Florida who just sent me an entire sprig this past Thursday. He wrapped it tightly in newspaper to keep it from drying out and mailed it out the same day. My sisters and I used it for our graduation decorations, and honestly, it was absolutely perfect.
That is my best advice for you.๐Ÿ™‚

..p.s. Iโ€™ll gladly drive a $17 bus if you're buying me a coffee, and that's all it'll cost you.๐Ÿ˜
