velvetgardener3, I’m doing the champagne wedding dress thing too—purple theme, white shoes, and a bouquet that’s mostly white flowers with just a few purple roses mixed in... 😉
By the way, we actually have the same photographer from New Kapela 🙂-he's good.

Does anyone here live near VK or Island? I was wondering if any of you have actually used that NO NAME photo studio over on Island—the one run mostly by a guy named Jasenko... has anyone had any experience with them at all?? 🙂 Thanks

jadeskipper85 said:Yeah, she mentioned she's opening a shop too, but I've already locked in her services for the decor. I'm just waiting to see how everything shakes out at the church before I give her the final headcount for everything. You can check out her work and photos on Facebook.
Have you been there, or have any of the girls here checked them out? What's the quality of their dresses like? I might just swing by to take a look.🙂

Yeah, I saw them and they're nice, though I guess I'd probably simplify the whole look—cut out all the extra fluff and just go with big, fresh roses instead... 😂 But hey, I suppose the decor really just depends on what the couple wants. 🙂

I haven't been to that boutique yet.

I'm still debating between white shoes or purple ones. For the bouquet, I’m leaning toward mostly white with just a few purple roses mixed in. Are you going to be there this spring?
I think that photographer is incredible. Honestly, we didn't end up booking them just because my fiancé has some connections and stuff, but I really hope I won't regret it. I just hope choosing my future husband turns out to be as good a call as this one!

Sean Cox50 is getting married—I think it's either this weekend or next.🤣

It’s been a little over a month since my wedding guests finally cleared out, so I guess it's time for a little recap. First off, my dress was by Nikolin—and honestly, I couldn't be happier. The two lovely ladies over at VK were absolute gems; they made the whole process feel effortless. For hair, I went to Vallentino in Borovo, and I was just as thrilled with the results there. As for makeup, I visited Eva’s beauty salon in Memphis. Eva is basically the gold standard; she truly deserves all the praise. My flowers were handled by my mom’s friend and her daughter, who have been in the floral business for twenty years now. However, I decided to order the roses from Vigus in Vinkovci, and I have to say, I am completely disappointed. When they picked them up on Friday evening, the flowers were already past their prime. By Saturday, they had opened up so much that petals were actually starting to fall off 😢 The woman making my bouquet barely managed to scrape together about 30 decent ones for the bouquet and boutonnieres. Personally, I wouldn't set foot in that shop ever again, especially considering what I paid per stem $5.00—we had ordered 100 in total. On a brighter note, the cakes and pastries also came from Vigus, and those were fantastic. I was really pleased with that part of the day. Anyway, that’s the gist of it 😉

Calling all ladies from Vinkovci...
From what I’ve gathered, there are guys in Vinkovci who actually play the bagpipes and the violin!!
🙂 I was wondering if you could maybe do some digging among your friends—they have to be out there somewhere 🙏 🙏

Could someone please be so kind as to direct me toward where one might find Maggie Sottero wedding gowns for rent in Indianapolis? I would truly appreciate any guidance you could offer. 🙂))))

I haven't heard of them having anything in Indianapolis, but you can find them in Slavonski Brod. 🙂

Pretty sure they don't have them in Indianapolis. I know for a fact they weren't there last year, and I haven't heard anything about anyone bringing them in lately.

Hey girls,

Can anyone tell me what you think about the Lilly Marlene bridal shop over in Slavonski Brod? I’ve got my eye on this one Demetrios gown, and honestly, the price tag there is way lower than what they're asking in Washington, D.C.

Hey everyone! Just joined the forum! :-))

Nicole Hill35, when you have a big wedding party, we actually used the exact same band and photographer—mine was May 19, 2012.

Nicole Hill35 said:The musicians played some old-school country tunes, nothing like that loud pop stuff you hear on the radio. You can pretty much negotiate whatever you want with them; if there's something I definitely don't want to hear, they just respect the boundary. No big deal.
They’ll be dragging this out from noon until the bitter end, and it’s going to cost us $2,000. I can't even remember if there are five or six of them coming—all I know is the drummer isn't showing up until midnight.

The band is fine if you're looking for something upbeat and aren't really into folk music. I don't know their exact rates, but I heard they charge more than a solo musician. I actually met one of the members once, and I couldn't stand his attitude—he treats the whole gig like he's just punching a clock.

Photographer—we ended up going with Art Studio Oliver; you can find him on Facebook under Oliver Olanovic. We passed on Tonio Photography right away, and we tried reaching out to Mirror too, but he was booked up. I get why he couldn't make it work, but it took him over two weeks to reply to an email after promising a quick response. For the more modern crowd, expect to shell out about $8,000 for the full photography and video package.

I'm hunting for a decent hairstylist right now. Since I haven't lived in this part of the country for a while, I'm pretty much flying blind on where to go.

I'm trailing slightly behind you, June 23rd. Just enough time for you to process everything. 🙂
Which hall are you in?
And welcome aboard. 😉

😁 What you're really saying is that she should just ask them everything; for instance, I told them I didn't want lilies because I can't stand that flower—roses are clearly the way to go.🙂👍

John Doe is also helping preserve our musical heritage. He's a violin and shawm instructor who has trained countless young, now famous, musicians at his school. So far, over 200 students from the USA, Canada, and Austria have passed through his doors. Currently, two members of our Club, Peter Andreas Rajkovača and Mario Katić, are studying at his music school, and we hope they master these instruments. Other talents from the region, such as Matt and the Jelić brothers, Ivan Martinović, Perica Nikić, and many others, have also studied here.

Maybe they know. Hope you find them. 😉

So, girls—it’s finally happening! The girls and I are officially heading out tomorrow to start the hunt for my wedding dress 🙂. But, ugh, I just realized something... why on earth are all the boutiques open from only 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays? I mean, how am I supposed to squeeze everything in?! Does anyone have any advice on where I should head first, or maybe what I should save for last?? Since we're looking around Indianapolis, I figured someone might know the best way to tackle this!

I just got back from a stroll through downtown Indianapolis, and I couldn't help but peek into a few boutiques—though I didn't go in, since I was out with my partner and wanted to be polite.🙂 The wedding dresses were absolutely stunning, especially the ones at Isabelle and Stephanie.😍

So, she’s getting married in June! I’ve already booked the venue, the band, and the photographer... what's next on the list? Should I be hunting down cakes, flowers, and all that stuff right now?
