It appears spring brings a new wave of matchmakers, so here is another one for you πŸ™‚
Naturally, I require assistance...
The choice is between Vigor or the Band, 100 percent.
I suspect I will never reach a conclusion on my own, so I am relying on your experiences with both groups πŸ˜‰

The Vigor band is top-tier. The lead singerβ€”that bald guyβ€”is great. He brings the energy, he's funny, and he'll have the whole wedding crowd on their feet in no time.

I’m already starting to get on everyone's nerves πŸ™‚ I can't help but wonder how much more intense things will get once the wedding date actually hits πŸ™‚

Thanks for the welcome. πŸ™‚
Regarding the music, I have seen Vigor live and they were excellent (especially their lead singer, 😍); their rate was $11,000 $0.00...
I haven't heard Sto Posto live, but their female vocalist sounds incredibly intriguing. However, their fee is €1,500, which certainly presents a dilemma. πŸ™‚
I realize there is no guarantee of success with either band, as much depends on the guests' energy and mood. Still, I seem determined to make things difficult for myself; I will likely end up being one of those high-maintenance brides. 😡

You aren't alone. πŸ™‚
I'm a total perfectionist too. I've got Still Band on my shortlist because I've heard nothing but rave reviews, and Quattro Band is also an option. Still is $1,300, and I'm still waiting on a quote from Quattro. Your move... πŸ™‚

swiftsailor63 said:Hi everyone,
I’m joining the ranks of the engaged... πŸ™‚ my wedding isn't until September 2013, but I'm already starting to panic about the details.
I keep seeing mentions of the Crystal ballroom in Indianapolis. I'm torn between that and the venue in Greenville. How far in advance should I book?
The music is my biggest headache. From what I've gathered, Sax hasn't let anyone down yet. What are they looking at price-wise? And what about The Band?
How much lead time do I actually need for these reservations?
Help! πŸ™‚

I actually put down a deposit for Sax for a date in September 2013, paying €1400. So far, everything I’ve heardβ€”and my own experienceβ€”has been nothing but glowing... they really are the best. πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ 😁
I do know for a fact they are already booked for two weekends in September 2013, so if you're interested, you really ought to hurry... πŸ˜‰

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up a wedding cake topper in Indianapolis? πŸ™‚ I’m heading out there tomorrow, so I’d love to know what to look for.

Maybe in Vegas. Just behind the supermarket there.
We just had to push the date back a week because of the band :S
I honestly thought I was losing my mind for planning this so far ahead, but half the bands are already booked up :S

The decision has been finalized... πŸ™‚
We paid the full deposit for the band and pushed the date back a month just to accommodate them; I certainly hope it proves worth it. πŸ™‚
It appears certain acts require an upfront commitment before you can even decide if they are better or worse than the alternatives. 😁
Moving forward... let's turn our attention toward the photographers. πŸ™‚

Exactly πŸ˜‚ we moved our date by a week because of the band, and we still have over a year and five months until the wedding πŸ˜•

Regarding that General Electric band, I've caught them at a few weddings and they’re solid, but they tend to take way too many breaks.

Hey there, matchmaker πŸ‘‹

I’m looking to pull together a wedding toward the end of the yearβ€”around Novemberβ€”and since we’re expecting a group of about 70 to 80 people, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a beautiful venue suitable for a smaller wedding? We haven't locked in a specific date yet, as our first order of business is finding the right space.

Thanks so much!

Oops, I neglected to mention πŸ˜‚
it was somewhere near St. Louis or the surrounding Midwest area.

I can't speak to the reception halls, but if you're looking at wedding venues that allow outside live music, I know a few spots like Walmart in a small town, The Ritz-Carlton, The Cheesecake Factory, the Hilton, and the Caravel.

Hey everyone... I’ve been scouring the internet looking for info on outdoor weddings out in the Midwest, but honestly, I’m coming up totally empty. Like, nothing concrete at all. I’m just starting the whole planning processβ€”we're looking at about 70 guestsβ€”and I have this specific vision of an elegant, open-air ceremony... If anyone knows anything, has any experience, or even just a random idea, please help me out! It can't be true that there aren't any gorgeous venues or estates out here in the Midwest, right? :/

Hey there.
Can someone give me the lowdown on The Dave Brubeck Quartet?
From what I’ve been watching in these clips, they look absolutely incredible to me.
What's the vibe like during their setsβ€”do they take many breaks, and how is the overall atmosphere?
Thanks.πŸ˜‰

Two years ago, they only took breaks for dinnerβ€”first and second courses. Other than that, they play non-stop, and honestly, they're pretty solid. As for the price, I think it was around $1,300 or $1,400, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know which part of the Midwest you're in or how far you're willing to travel, but there's this one hotel in a small town, USA where you could pull off an outdoor wedding. They have this massive lawn behind the hotel with a view of some ponds.

The Dave Brubeck Quartet is totally booked up, 100% unavailable... what a joke!
Can anyone point me toward some other bands instead!?
Has anybody here actually dealt with Edward or maybe the Eden band before?!
Thanks
Best,
Joe
