silentpanther83 said:So, I spent some time today browsing through wedding bands, and honestly, it really just comes down to what kind of weight you're looking for. Itโ€™s a bit like choosing a car; you want something that feels substantial but doesn't feel like a brick on your finger. I popped into Tiffany & Co., and they had some beautiful styles around $2667 and one specifically near $2000... though those were quite chunky and heavy-set. Then I swung by Zales, where they had options for about $35,000, but they weren't nearly as thick. I also checked out Pano, and they seemed to be running some discounts... oh, and I stopped by Emmi, which felt like the best value overall; their thicker bands go for about $11667, and they have plenty of women's styles with zirconias. It all really hinges on how much zirconia you pack in there, since that drives the price up. Plus, you can usually negotiate almost anywhereโ€”like if you want something a bit slimmer but with a different pattern, they can often make it happen.

Thanks.

Man, I can already see what kind of circus this is going to be ๐Ÿ™‚ That much money, and I'm definitely one of those people who constantly loses jewelry ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'll just grab some simple silver pieces and call it a day...

heh... I know I'll be wearing mine, but the real question is whether my man can actually keep it on his finger for more than 24 hours... otherwise, God help his wallet...๐Ÿ™‚

If you need hair and makeup done, StudioChic is the gold standard. For wedding bands, go see Luka over at the UL in the Republic.

Iโ€™ve been lurking here for a minute, but I figured itโ€™s finally time to actually jump in and start typing. ๐Ÿ™‚
So, anyway, the big wedding is set for September 2014. Weโ€™ve been scouting venues around Indianapolis and Des Moines lately, and it got me wonderingโ€”has anyone actually held a wedding at the Ivanov estate over in Ivankov? We went to check out the place recently and, honestly, itโ€™s sitting at the top of our list right now.
Also, does anyone know if that famous DJ, Jaka, has a website or a Facebook page? Iโ€™ve been searching high and low but haven't found a thing. ๐Ÿคท

Jaka has a Facebook page, pretty sure her flower shop is called Valerie, but I can't quite rememberโ€”either way, she's someone you definitely want to avoid.๐Ÿ˜‰

Does anyone know where I can find a wedding dance class?

Maybe somewhere in the Mississippi area?

Thanks!

There's a studio called D&D over in Indianapolis, pretty sure they just started a new class.๐Ÿ˜‰ Matthew runs the place and he's honestly awesome...

I was kind of thinking about it... I mostly just have silver anyway, so I don't know. I guess I'm just wondering how long a silver wedding band would actually last before it wears down, assuming I don't just lose it or something. ๐Ÿ˜)

Truth be told, I've been wondering about that too. ๐Ÿคฃ

I honestly can't figure out who keeps booking this girl for makeup jobs. Is there something going on between her and Noah? Is he promoting her because they're together, or does she just think heโ€™s such a great photographer that sheโ€™s constantly chasing him down for lessons since her own makeup skills are a disaster? Look at what she didโ€”and clearly, it wasn't her first time. When she was supposed to come do my cousin's makeup in Savannah, she just went completely MIA. She wouldn't even pick up the phone. Eventually, some other girl showed up late, sent by her, claiming Victoria was stuck at the hospital with her mother. That might have been excusable if Victoria hadn't actually been in Indianapolis at that exact same time doing makeup for an acquaintance of ours! It's also true what someone mentioned earlier about her charging more for trial runs than what was originally agreed upon. Some people just lack any sense of integrity, regardless of whether they claim to be a "top-tier" stylist, photographer, or nuclear physicist... If you need a reliable, kind, and honest makeup artist in Columbus, I highly recommend Helen. Best, I

I really like how Helen does makeup, and Mary is great too ๐Ÿ™‚ They're both super nice and easy to work with.

Hey everyone!
So I'm hanging out on ๐Ÿ™‚ again. Basically, I'm originally from Oklahoma City, but I actually live and work in Seattle... so, I could probably host a wedding in either spot. The tricky part is the guest list sizeโ€”I'm looking for a venue for about 80 people. That feels a bit small for my Midwest roots, but maybe a little big for Seattle. Does anyone have any ideas for a venue near Oklahoma City? Maybe some catering or decor tips too? Ideally something that isn't just a standard restaurant... Ladies, help me out! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thereโ€™s actually a thread on wedding rings where people explain things pretty well, but honestly, your best bet is to just head to a local jeweler and chat with them. Good luck! ๐Ÿ™‚

So, who are these girls actually? Like, do they work at a local salon or just do private gigs?

Wait, why would you avoid her? From what I've gathered, everyone raves about her, and both venues actually recommended her to us.๐Ÿคท

The decor is actually for a wedding of maybe 150 people (at least I think so). For catering, we might go smaller... maybe Gaul, Ictus, or Railroad..

You can find them on Facebook under Helena make up, assuming we're talking about the same Helen. And then there's Maryโ€”I don't know her last name, honestlyโ€”but you should be able to find her through Helen's profile.

Hey girls, I was checking out some photos and videos from a wedding fair in Indianapolis by Mara from White Monastery. Has anyone here worked with her before?

I know one venue that recommends herโ€”but honestly, don't take those recs too seriously. Whether it's cakes, flowers, or music, half the time those "recommendations" are just under-the-table deals. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Gle, a friend of mine actually recommended her because she did a great job for her, and Iโ€™ve been at those weddings myself. Sadly, I didn't hear any of the bad stuff until after my own wedding was over. I already posted everything I went through here so future brides could be careful when picking her. But they ended up deleting the post... Anyway, long story short, she didn't do anything we actually agreed on, except maybe the head table. Like, the buffet arrangements and that archway above the entrance? We had to go out Saturday morning on the day of the wedding, driving all over town looking for a different florist to fix it because she totally forgot. The table arrangements didn't even look like what we talked about (I still have the photo on my phone since we asked her to make a sample for us). Gle, I got lucky that everything else turned out great, so I'm happy with the rest of the day... But I heard later that half her neighbors work there too, so apparently, when she gets booked for multiple weddings on the same day (or so I heard), who knows who's actually putting things together... Since the sample she made for us was gorgeous, but what actually showed up on the tables was a total disaster... ๐Ÿ™‚

Look, Iโ€™m asking because thereโ€™s some kind of discount on the floral arrangements if I bundle them with the catering package, but even without your input, I was already feeling pretty skeptical... honestly though, I am absolutely obsessed with those wedding planners from the El Paso-based Exclusive Weddings crew!๐Ÿ˜
