fadedviper14 said:I went to a makeup artist in Warsaw once, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results! I think her name was Ernest Hemingway, or something like that... the salon is right there if you're walking from the Tao cafe toward the church, on the street to the right. Feel free to ask anything... if you want to see some photos, I can send them over via DM.

I don't know her personally, but would it be too much trouble to ask for a photo? Also, how much did it cost? Did she come to your house, or did you go to the salon?

Question 😍...has anyone here had any direct experience with Classic deli meats in Indianapolis? Specifically, I am wondering if anyone has ever exclusively used their products for their own needs... myself included, for instance. Any insights or personal anecdotes would be immensely helpful to me!🙏

Finally, something useful for people in the Midwest. There's this new site called "Osijek wedding" that covers everything you need to plan a wedding around the region. Might be worth checking out.

This should be a great resource once they polish it up. It looks like a lot of the content is still under construction.

🙂 You can find a ton of stuff over at www.freehouse.biz. The site just launched recently, so they’re constantly adding more items, and honestly, their prices are about a third of what you'd pay at most big-box retailers👍. There is actually quite a bit of inventory that hasn't even been uploaded to the site yet—I was browsing through yesterday—and they'll be adding boutonnières to the selection very soon. Their main shop is located out in Columbus. If you need some inspiration for invitation wording, you can check out http://vjencanjeradost.blogspot.com
They're planning to post even more templates and helpful info there too...

Good luck to everyone planning their big day!!!😉

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some intel on the Isabelle bridal boutique over in Indianapolis. Does anyone know what kind of damage a dress rental actually does to your wallet? What’s the typical price range? Also, what exactly comes included in the deal, how many days before the big day can I actually take the dress home, and who's stuck footing the bill for the cleaning?

Find the perfect soundtrack for your wedding at www.bracika.com
If you want to nail the music for your big day, check out Bracika—it’s basically a one-stop shop. You can browse live recordings of bands in both AVI and MP3 formats, check out their galleries to see them in action, and grab all their contact info. Everything you need to make an informed decision is right there... nothing else required.

You should probably just click through to their website; they have their phone number and locations in both Indianapolis and Savannah listed there. Usually, with a rental, you get the shoes, hair accessories, and gloves. As for anything else, I'd definitely ask them directly because every boutique has its own specific packages... I'm not sure if Isabelle's includes things like the cake server set, the ring pillow, or the flower baskets, for instance. Cleaning is typically baked into the rental price. But honestly, your best bet is to give them a call and get all those details straight from the source.
Good luck! 🙂

Hey everyone—has anyone here ever hosted their wedding guests at a venue near a small town in the Midwest? 👋 I’d honestly appreciate any info or tips you could share!

At the Tanya boutique over by the NBA arena in Indianapolis, the dresses are actually quite a bit more affordable than other spots, though honestly, that isn't even the best part! They include everything for free—little flower girl dresses (no matter how many you need!), a veil of your choice, all the jewelry, even the ring bearer pillow... they truly provide everything.
Renting for a first wear isn't expensive at all; my gown ended up being $3,800 for the first use. Plus, the lady working there is just absolutely lovely.
I did visit Isabelle as well, and they have some stunning gowns. Out of the six I tried on, I gathered quotes for four of them: prices ranged from $3,200 up to $1500 for the ones I tested (those weren't for first wear, though). So, I suppose it really just comes down to you seeing which style captures your heart!

We're talking little flower girl dresses (as many as you need!), a veil of your choice, all the jewelry, the bustle... seriously, they cover it all.
The initial appointment wasn't nearly as pricey as people think; mine ended up being $3,800 for the first fitting. Plus, the lady working there is just absolutely lovely.
I also checked out Isabelle's shop. They have some beautiful gowns—out of the six I tried on, I grabbed quotes for four of them. Prices were ranging from $3,200 up to $1500 for the ones I liked (and those weren't even my first fittings!). So, you should really just go see what catches your eye.

Hey ladies! Just wanted to chime in—if you have a car and don't mind a bit of a drive to save some cash, head over to Anna’s bridal boutique near the Mississippi River hotel. Their prices are genuinely great, starting around $333 and going up to $0.90 for the priciest gown. To be honest, the styles aren't any different from what you'd find in Indianapolis; it's just that they haven't tacked on that massive markup, so you get a much better deal. That's my two cents! Wishing you all so much happiness!

My take:
I haven’t stepped foot in the Classic room myself, but word on the street is it gets stifling. Between the dancing and the heat, you’ll end up feeling as sticky as if you fell face-first into a jar of honey. People say the AC is just mediocre. 😢
The Varga catering setup looks nothing special—just standard and tidy—and the restrooms are decent. The food? Actually great, I'll give them that. BUT! Whatever you do, don't let the owner try to "DJ" using his laptop. It is an absolute train wreck.
Everyone raves about Vigor Band, but my dream lineup would be a jukebox band. 🙏
I first heard them about five or six years ago and was instantly hooked. Since I've been in the music industry for eleven years—and since I happen to be dating a musician—I've been lucky enough to meet the whole crew. My boyfriend is a killer drummer, so they’re definitely my go-to band. 👍

I’m honestly at a loss for words regarding this whole situation... except for the fact that my local pastor is only human. He probably just had one of those rough days, and maybe—just maybe—his outburst should be forgiven.
Pollux, you saw him once, didn't you? You had a single conversation with him and that's it. Do you actually attend Sunday service at that church? Do you listen to his sermons? Have you ever observed how he treats children? I highly doubt it...
In my experience, he is one of the finest pastors around, and when it comes to how transparently he manages things and cares for his parish, I have nothing but praise.
If he lost his cool with you, try to forgive him like any true believer would. I am certain he feels regret for being so blunt...

If you want to get married in that church because of those sentimental ties, I believe you can. The church isn't his personal property, after all. In fact, another priest from that same church could perform the ceremony for you; it doesn't strictly have to be the head pastor.
If you are persistent enough, go for it and make it happen. You don't need to be subservient or overly humble before a priest. Of course, you shouldn't be swearing or shouting, but talk to him like you would any other public official. He is a civil servant in many ways, and priests have their own supervisors and protocols to follow...

Try attending a few services, and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Don't judge a book by its cover!

That’s all from me.image

While I'm not trying to excuse the priest's behavior, I suspect he's already reached his breaking point with this new trend where everyone from the Indianapolis area (and even the surrounding suburbs) suddenly feels this deep, sentimental connection to Memphis.
Come on, admit it—you just want to marry there because the old part of town is beautiful, not because of some sudden wave of sentimentality....😁
congratulate Miha on the upcoming weddings👍

So, we were really hoping to have the wedding on Friday the 13th... but apparently, two different priests won't agree to perform the ceremony on that specific day. We're planning on just going through with a civil ceremony at the courthouse instead... though, I suppose I don't really mind one way or the other, I guess.

Hey everyone from the Midwest—I wanted to jump in here too! I'm planning my wedding for sometime next year, maybe around May or June. Has anyone here worked with Salo Classic or tried out their full catering menu? 🙏

Can anyone point me toward a solid catering crew in Indianapolis? I’m trying to figure out what the damage will be if I just grab appetizers for a crowd of 200 people. Thanks!

Is Galah’s Beauty Lounge actually any good? Can you send over a photo... I’m thinking about booking them for makeup, so...
Did you go to their studio for the makeup or did she just come over to your place? Thanks
