rowdypanther16 what kind of adhesive stickers are you talking about? That sounds like an amazing idea.
I’m going to need a ton of those little bottles because I’m hosting 500 guests across 60 tables, and I want one at every single station.
Plus, I want plenty of spares just in case we need to swap anything out—both for my setup and my partner's.
It’s definitely better to over-prepare than to run short.

Chloe Evans6 Don't worry, I'll make sure I grab some for you too; I haven't forgotten you!
As for the cardstock for the invitations (and I assume you're looking for the same stuff I am), I picked up a couple of packs
from Allstate right across from the local Hobby Lobby—it was 70x100cm. I also grabbed some translucent paper at Michaels for about 50 cents per A4 sheet, though they don't seem to carry the specific type I wanted,
unless you're looking for certain earth tones. I ended up using a wide ribbon instead of mesh,
and then layered a thinner satin ribbon right over the top. You should check out the "Handmade Invitations" thread for some inspiration.

Thanks, Bradley Wright... we'll touch base later about those bottles 😉

As for the paper... could you let me know the price for cardstock at Allstate? (That 70x100 size you mentioned—that’s the dimensions, right?)
I saw gentledriver92 mention she bought some for $2.00, and since it's about the size of six A4 sheets—I'm assuming that's what we're looking at?! I'm also wondering if there's much variety, or just one or two types... Regarding the price, what you found at the hobby shop seems fair to me... but since gentledriver92 says Amazon (right behind that flower shop, Claudia) is the cheapest, I'm really curious how much it would cost there😉
I noticed they don't have many good shears either... maybe just three or four colors...🙄
I was actually thinking about grabbing that mesh too—just like you did—but I'm not quite sure how it all looks once everything is assembled... (it feels like our invitations might end up looking pretty similar 😍 )

Yeah, over at Amazon... a coworker bought some crepe paper there a few months back and paid $40 per A4 sheet... honestly, I don't know if prices have changed since then, haven't gone to check yet. For example, at Allstate, the crepe paper is $1.15, and the lady working there said it's pricier because it's a thicker grade... I didn't even realize there were different thicknesses. As for that heavy cardstock at Allstate, I didn't bother checking other types because the one she showed me looked good immediately, and it isn't even that expensive compared to prices elsewhere...

Here’s what mine looks like
I think it turned out pretty well
I paid $2.50 for the paper and passed the test just fine since it was only $16.50 at Hobby Lobby
But then I checked at Michaels $13 and they have the exact same thing
I honestly have no clue why there's such a huge price gap

gentledriver92 Bradley Wright said:So, back at Amazon... a colleague of mine was picking up some paper there a few months ago—she was paying about $40 per ream for A4—and I honestly have no clue if the prices have shifted since then, I haven't had a chance to go check yet... But get this, over at Allstate, they have paper for $1.15 per sheet, and the lady working there mentioned it’s actually more expensive because it's a heavier, sturdier stock. I didn't even realize there were different thicknesses to worry about! As for that thicker paper at Allstate, I haven't really looked into whether they carry other varieties, but the one she showed me? It felt great immediately—and it isn't nearly as pricey when you consider what everything else is going for lately...

In that case, you’re probably better off grabbing some heavy-duty pouches from Amazon—they carry all different thicknesses, but the main thing is to make sure they aren't too flimsy... you don't want them warping around too much.
Especially after you hit print...😉
I think I’ll head over to Allstate to pick up that card...
That doesn't seem like much to me...$2.25I have to say—I actually really like that price...😍

Bradley Wright Bradley Wright said:I went ahead and paid for the paperwork... $2.50 I ended up going with the first option—it was only $16.50 at Hobby Lobby, whereas the price over at Michaels was way higher... $13 Same thing...

😲😲😲
I honestly can't believe there's such a massive gap... I mean, I seriously doubt there's any actual difference in the paperwork itself—it just makes me wonder... 🙄

I really love that invitation you sent... it’s actually quite nice! 👍
Mine will be pretty similar—I'm thinking my satin ribbon should run from edge to edge... 🙂 )
And that card you’ve got there—it really is quite nice...😍
I think I'm going to grab one for myself... 😛
As for that stack of paperwork—I have to say, looking at yours, it seems like you’re doing everything exactly right...
Especially if you did all the printing and cutting yourself... honestly, it turned out so beautiful...
Do you happen to know how many grams that coffee was—and honestly, where did you pick it up? I'm trying to track down the exact same batch...

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice—where are you guys ordering wine for wedding parties from, and what kind of prices are we talking about lately?

I actually printed them all myself; I just picked up an edge cutter to give them a cleaner look.
I really wanted that satin ribbon to run from edge to edge—you know, the way they show in those
Angelus Art tutorials—but I just couldn't get it to stick properly. So, I ended up going with this current method.
Also, just a heads-up: I tried using those Moment adhesives and similar brands, but I wasn't happy with the results at all.
Instead, I switched to clear silicone. It definitely takes longer to dry, but once it sets, it’s rock solid. I’ve been putting every single piece
inside a notebook to keep them pressed down, and after about an hour, they’re perfectly dry and flat.
So, yeah, that’s just my experience with it.
Regarding your question about the paper, I picked up some A4, 0.50 lb sheets from Michaels, and I managed to get three invitations out of a single sheet.

Does anyone have any good makeup recommendations they could share with me? I’ve heard such wonderful things about Diana lately, but does anyone happen to have her contact information handy? To be honest, I’ve already sat through two different trial sessions with other artists recently, and I just haven't been happy with the results at all 🤷

You should try Ksenija Brkic. Look her up on Facebook under Ksenija Brkic to check out her portfolio. If you want her cell number, just shoot me a private message.
She’s actually doing my makeup for my wedding.

Hey, if you're out there making invitations and losing your mind trying to glue satin ribbons onto everything... just try using double-sided tape instead. You can grab some at Target, it’s only $5.00... it looks clean, stays neat, and you won't end up with ugly glue stains all over the satin 😁

I’m going to need a massive stash of those little bottles since I’m hosting about 500 guests spread across 60 tables in the ballroom, so I want one at every single station.
Plus, I definitely want some extra on hand just in case we need to swap anything out—and obviously, my fiancé will probably want some for his side too.
So yeah, it’s definitely better to overdo it than to run short.

See, my aunt hosted her wedding last year and she gave me these stickers to use, and man, they are just awesome. They’re for the bride and groom, and they look so sharp. It saves me from having to mess around with drawing stuff by hand, and they just have this cool, unique vibe that stands out from the usual wedding decor.👍

I've got a lead on some wine from a local Napa Valley vineyard at a pretty sweet price—if anyone’s interested, just shoot me a DM.

Ugh... just imagine this... we’ve been talking forever about how much cheaper the paper is at Amazon, right, just past that flower shop, Claudia... then I show up today... and this lady goes 🙄 "We don't carry that... we've never actually sold that here..."
I was just standing there totally confused 😲 like, seriously?!
Now I honestly don't know what to believe anymore... 😢

Chloe Evans6, you should head over to Hobby Lobby; I'm positive she picked some up there just last week.

Honestly, if you're currently hunting for wedding shoes, you should check out the massive sale happening at Leo’s in San Bernardino—the selection is gorgeous, and prices start as low as $30. I'm actually having a bit of an internal crisis right now, torn between two specific pairs 😁

Seriously, someone help me out here! I’m looking at a guest list of about 250 people for my wedding, and I have absolutely no clue how much booze I need to stock up on for the groom’s side and my side at home. Just give me some rough numbers so I can get a ballpark idea! The wedding is in May.

Here goes another wedding planner jumping into the fray! :-)
This forum has been a massive help with getting things sorted, even though I’ve still got plenty of time before the big day next spring!

Could someone please send me Jane M.'s number? She does makeup!
Thanks a bunch!
