Yeah, yeah... totally riding a motorcycle 🎉

Well, Gleć, your signature said you weren't a fish, so...
I wish! If only my wife would let me go to the game and sort out a ride for me. As for food, I'll just handle that myself.

Yeah, I mean—should I ask my wife to let me catch the game and handle the ride too? As for food, I'll just take care of myself.

You think it’d work if a second wife asked her to let you go? 🤣

And man, he was a hard worker—did his part, you know how it goes... 🙂
I just hope those folks down South who are planning on coming by to help realize I've got my motorcycle ready to roll...😛

I just hope those folks down South who think they're coming to save the day realize I've got my own motorcycle...😛

I'm honestly just hoping there'll be so many of you guys that nobody even knows who anyone is anymore🙂

I just hope those folks from the South who think they're coming down here to help see that I've already got my motorcycle ready...😛

The Southerners are showing up in pretty small numbers... but even if it's just one of them, they'll probably end up stuck on some old beat-up car😁..just as I'm starting to make some real money for you... now you can just pay me thirty bucks to wash it☕

Anyway, my buddy and I should be arriving right between 10 and 11... since we don't have any specific details yet, we're bringing a whole kit of tools just in case. We might end up finishing up some painting instead of hiring a pro, or maybe we'll just lay down some laminate flooring...

Anonymous said:The Southerners might be outnumbered... but one of them is still gonna pack a punch. 😁Just getting my weight up for you... now you're trying to lowball me at thirty bucks? ☕

Look, me and my buddy will definitely be there between 10 and 11. Since we have zero info on what's actually needed, we’re bringing extra tools just in case—we might end up finishing some painting instead of hiring a pro, or maybe laying down some laminate...

You're gonna be late because your brother and I have a date at 8:30, and you still owe us two rounds.
Don't go making promises if you don't have a van, because I spent 20 minutes 🤣 loading stuff up just so we could haul it together tomorrow. Plus, I've got a motorcycle, an axe, two hatchets, a hand saw, and two rakes coming, so I'm pretty much armed for a small raid on San Francisco... Oh, and I brought a shovel too, just in case we need to bury the evidence.

The game plan for tomorrow:

1. Finish up the drywall mudding and get a head start on painting
2. Knock out those bathroom windows and brick them up
3. Rip up the bathroom floor tiles and level everything out
4. Get the plumbing installed
5. Finally get the backyard cleaned up once and for all
6. Dig the trench and lay down the water line

7. (If we actually manage to finish the rest) maybe start laying down some laminate

That’s the gist of it for now.

Now we just need to divvy everyone up into crews—depends on how many people show up and who actually knows what they're doing with certain tasks.

I'm bringing in another 6 or 7 people, plus a few more for Sunday.

I'll take the demolition shift.😁 I'm gonna go hunt down some extra tools for that.

No way in hell... it's summer, but the sun isn't staying out until 9 PM anymore. :P
Plus, you have to deal with the drying process... and since this is an old house, the walls could be holding a ton of moisture. Even with paint that's supposed to seal things, sometimes it reacts weirdly during the drying stage—it can take forever to dry. Then there's the human element; you can't be painting while someone else is laying down laminate, and vice versa. You definitely can't put laminate over wet surfaces...
So, did the contractor not show up? Well, tomorrow is for mudding and painting. The earliest you'll be touching that laminate is Sunday at the earliest...
I don't know how much progress has been made since I was last there, but from what I saw, there’s still a massive amount of finishing work needed before you even think about painting. Unless, of course, you just don't care how the final result looks! :P

Just a heads up—don't go promising points if you don't have a van, because I spent 20 minutes 🤣 loading stuff up just so we could head out together tomorrow. Plus, I've got a motorcycle, an axe, two hatchets, two hand saws, and some rakes coming, so I'm pretty much armed and ready for a small raid on San Francisco... Oh, and I brought a shovel too, just in case we need to bury the remains.

In that case, I better pick up my idiot friend earlier... there's no way he'll be in a good mood after a week like this, having to get up this early on a Saturday. :)..
We all know who bailed on the last round😁...and it wasn't me☕...but hey, we'll probably scrape enough together for four burgers.😍

We all know who bailed on the last round of drinks😁...and it definitely wasn't me☕...but hey, maybe we can scrape together enough for a few beers anyway😍

The guy was patching stuff up on Thursday.

He smoothed out the ceiling in the smaller room, around the doors and windows, and that wall that was added later.

And he fixed a few other bits too (like those gaps between the wall and the drywall on the ceiling).

I get that you can't do everything at once, but we have two rooms, so we might be able to work on the ceiling in one while doing something else in the other.

We'll see how doable and practical that actually is.

Main thing is, we're making progress.

The main thing is that progress is being made.

It’s honestly not going to be practical... you're trying to work in both rooms at once. It's like trying to mop and dust at the exact same time—you finish one, run to the other, then realize you have to head back to the first. Same goes for painting; if you're constantly waiting on someone else to clear out so you can move, you're just wasting time and losing momentum.
The fewer people inside while the work is happening, the faster it gets done. Plus, you can't exactly rush things when you're stuck waiting for paint or floor sealant to dry. Honestly, it would be better if you just let us handle the scheduling for the interior work ourselves... after all, this is our area of expertise.☕

Hmm, if my actions—well, my heirs—speak for me, what does that say about yours??
Satori, did you ever get that hole in your bedroom floor fixed??

Nah, still haven't done it—just need to cut some new tiles and slap them down.

A piece of a slab.🤣I bet the folks planning on laying down laminate flooring are going to love this.
Anyone know if there's any cement in stock?

Is there any cement included??

I don't think so

If I can scrape some cash together by tomorrow, I'll grab whatever else we need
Right now, I'm totally broke
