If they’d actually nailed that pit stop, I guess Sainz might have had a chance to fly past, maybe picking off Palmer within half a lap, and then who knows, maybe even Bottas too..
But honestly, at this rate, they're lucky to scrape even a single point..

Hold on. Honestly, you'd have to be a total loser to blame his teammate for this. It's definitely not Sainz's fault the pit stop was such a mess.

Honestly, if that Ferrari had been even a single second slower on those Medium tires, Rosberg would have been absolutely fighting tooth and nail just to get past them.

Seb mentioned that Mercedes caught everyone off guard with their tire strategy following that red flag, but if you ask me, it wasn't just the Mercedes-Benz team; the entire field seemed to catch Ferrari by surprise with their choice of rubber...
Which bunch of amateurs are we even talking about? I honestly can't believe it. 🙂

A solid 1-2 finish for Ferrari in Bahrain!

He is young, perhaps a bit too impatient...
And wasn't he also acting a little agitated with all that complaining over the radio back then? 🙂

Alonso 😱

Alonso and Gutierrez 😱 at Ferrari

It’s interesting how the rule changes seem to favor Mercedes again—with shorter pit stops (maybe 22-25 seconds, if you listen to what Ricciardo was saying), plus some chaos in the pits and even more aggressive excursions onto the grass. The result is barely a second difference, which makes me think that given the track conditions, Ferrari and Mercedes might be neck-and-neck, provided Ferrari can actually get ahead of Mercedes right off the line.

btw, Mercedes can't even touch those old Ferrari engines if they were in the hands of a truly elite driver—man, even an aggressive legend wouldn't have stood a chance in DRS zones or anything like that.

Personally, I’m looking at a 1-2-3 podium sweep.

It feels like Ferrari is the only team out there that hasn't quite figured out how the Medium tires actually behave... 🤦

Honestly, if you're making those kinds of calls in Bahrain, Kimi needs an engine that actually stays together first 😍

What will the big boss at Ferrari have to say now, Sergio?
He was quite insistent on securing a victory in that opening race, wasn't he? 🙂

Ferrari 🤦

What an absolute disaster...
The good:
- Vettel and Ferrari actually nailed the start.

The bad:
- The pit wall and strategy were pathetic. 🤦
I honestly can't wrap my head around why they thought leaving Kimi and Vettel out on old tires was smart. 😵
It would have been fifteen times more logical to go straight to fresh Softs and then finish on the SS if they were too scared to try the Medium...
That way you at least have the option to push on the Softs until the end, or pivot to another Soft stint if the stint length looks wonky or if the rubber actually holds up.
- Unreliable as hell, especially seeing how early Kimi's car gave up on him... things aren't looking good.
- A catastrophic pit stop with agonizingly slow tire changes. 🤦
- Race pace was garbage compared to Mercedes on everything except the SS.
On the SS, they were barely a hair faster than Mercedes on Mediums—definitely not enough.
On fresh Softs, they were only slightly quicker than Mercedes on old Mediums... clearly Mercedes played it smart with all that aggressive testing in Barcelona.
- The worst part? Even with much newer tires and DRS, they couldn't touch Mercedes. Passing felt like a suicide mission.

Overall, pretty grim. Maybe they'll fix some stuff and show progress, but realistically, they don't stand a chance at fighting for anything. 👎

Ted calls them Jordan 😁
so is he joking or does he actually lose his mind every single time? I can't tell.🤣

Ferrari looks incredible. If they hadn't completely botched the strategy, Sebastian Vettel would have finished second... And Kimi Räikkönen could've grabbed a podium if his engine hadn't blown up.
Even on a track that wasn't built for Ferrari, they were right there...
Daniel Ricciardo was fantastic, and a solid result for Sergio Pérez and Williams....

I can't wait for the next race. Ferrari is going to crush Mercedes, provided they don't fire that idiot running the strategy department...

Ferrari continues its long-standing tradition of making catastrophic decisions and actively sabotaging its own drivers' chances at podiums and victories.

If she were a guy, her name would be Duško.🤣
Man, forget about whether Ferrari messed up or not—what if Mercedes hadn't had such a pathetic start?

Ferrari threw away a win handed to them by Mercedes, but honestly, if both teams had played at their actual level, they would've screwed up just as badly as last year...
Let’s be real: Lewis Hamilton was noticeably faster than Nico Rosberg the entire time, and he only finished behind him because his start was even worse than Rosberg's...
If Hamilton had finished the first lap in the lead and Rosberg in second, Vettel would've ended up at least 20+ seconds behind Hamilton.😉

Ugh, you just can't let opportunities like this slip through your fingers. Honestly, Ferrari completely blew a race they had in the bag.

At first glance, the starts look way better...
Everything else is more or less the same crap as last year. Maybe some slight improvement here and there, but nothing enough to matter...

And those starts could give Ferrari a massive edge. If I caught what the Sky crew was saying this season, they aren't using dual clutches or automated procedures anymore. So, either Ferrari is lightyears ahead of Mercedes on this, or Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel are just killing it compared to Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton 🤷
No matter what, it looks like Ferrari has the upper hand here 👍

If Rajku had actually brought a finished engine, I’m pretty much certain he would've walked away with the win. Not that it takes anything away from Nico Rosberg's victory, though. 🙏
