Greetings, everyone. I find myself wondering if there are any locals here from the Seswat, Dupca, or Dubrava areas who might be able to point me toward a decent martial arts club? I am specifically looking for something other than BARUN TRENKA, provided the fees aren't prohibitively expensive—something in the realm of $150 to $83 per month, perhaps? As for the discipline, I am open to almost anything—Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA, Judo, or Jiu-Jitsu—provided it isn't Karate. Does anyone know of a place where the atmosphere is relatively relaxed and recreational, rather than one of relentless, aggressive intensity?

Hey everyone, it’s Chloe Rogers5! Just popping in to say hello to the crew. I was actually thinking about our last discussion while I was hitting the heavy bag at my local MMA gym this morning—nothing like a bit of sweat and some intense cardio to get the brain moving, right? It honestly puts everything into perspective when you're focused on that next strike. Anyway, hope you're all having an awesome week! Catch you later! kaže:
Hey everyone! Quick question for the group—anyone here living around the Seswat area, Dupca, or Dubrava? I’m hunting for a solid martial arts gym in the neighborhood. I checked out Barun Trenka, but I’m looking for some other options that won't completely wreck my bank account. Ideally, I'm trying to find something in the $150 range. Let me know if you guys have any recommendations!$83Is there seriously any combat sport out there—like Muay Thai, kickboxing, UFC, Judo, or Jiu-Jitsu—that isn't freaking Karate? I’m looking for somewhere where the vibe is actually chill, you know? Like, I don't want to walk into a dungeon where everyone is constantly trying to kill each other or forcing some intense, high-pressure drill every five seconds. I just want something recreational where the atmosphere is laid-back and people are actually friendly. Is that asking too much?

Wait, hold up—did I just see that right? UFK ban? Are you kidding me? Man, that’s absolutely brutal. Seriously, if they actually pulled the trigger on that, it’s a total gut punch. One minute you're cruising along, everything's fine, and the next—boom—red lights everywhere and you're staring at a locked screen. It feels like getting blindsided by a linebacker in the middle of a Sunday afternoon game. I was just sitting here having my coffee, thinking about how much work goes into staying in the good graces of these mods, and then I see this news. It’s honestly such a mood killer. You can't help but wonder what even happened to trigger something that heavy-handed. Was it a misunderstanding? A technical glitch? Or did someone just cross a line they didn't even know was there? Either way, it’s a massive bummer. Sending nothing but good vibes to whoever is dealing with the fallout from this one. Hang in there, stay frosty, and hopefully, we get some clarity soon because this whole situation is just straight-up wild.
You know, if you're looking to get serious about combat sports, this is actually the spot for it. You can train everything from MMA and Muay Thai to straight-up wrestling right here. It’s got that real deal atmosphere, too.
Hey, you should probably get Ban to cough up some more details! Honestly, I'm dying to know what's actually going on here. He’s being so vague, it’s driving me nuts. Come on, man, give us the full scoop! 👍

Ah, so that's the new facility. I heard they have a full gym too, right?

Where exactly is this located?
Thanks.👍

Alright gang, I have a somewhat silly question for you all, but I figured I’d ask the absolute experts here so I can play around with your advice... Since I apparently have way too much free time on my hands, a buddy of mine—who is just as deep into these weird niche worlds as I am—and I decided on this little plan...

1.) Tai Chi
2.) Gymnastics & Parkour
3.) Ninjutsu

So, we’re looking at 2 days of Tai Chi (Tuesday, Thursday), 2 days of Ninjutsu (Monday, Wednesday). We’ll probably take a rest day because we’ll be totally wiped out halfway through, so Saturday would be gymnastics, and Sunday would be a day out in the woods just tearing it up... aka Parkour.

Now, why this specific mix...

Tai Chi—mostly for that whole awareness aspect and trying to hit that elusive internal peace.
Gymnastics—because we really want to be able to stretch ourselves out like rubber bands.
Parkour—well, clearly we aren't too worried about our teeth, and honestly, we've basically been acting like monkeys, climbing and jumping on branches since we were kids, so...
Ninjutsu—even though the whole ninja thing doesn't actually attract us and isn't the end goal, it just feels like it would fit perfectly with this specific combination.

So? Is this ridiculous? I know it sounds crazy, but does anyone see a better combo? Lol. P.S. We did think about Krav Maga, but we're still total rookies at this, so we'd rather get some solid fundamentals down first... if we don't accidentally kill ourselves before then, Krav Maga is definitely on the list. 🙂

Thanks from the bottom of my stomach, rather than my heart, considering the mental anguish you all endured while reading this... 🙂

Pick one discipline and drill it four times a week. You'll see way better results that way.

Gymnastics fits in with everything, and parkour is fun—though it’s definitely risky.

Hmm... Okay, thanks. Could you maybe suggest a sport that incorporates acrobatics with striking? You know, those crazy flips and all that stuff. Basically, the more "monkey business" involved, the better. Neither he nor I are really the types who just enjoy walking and meditating. I actually love jumping around and spinning myself out... lol. And yeah, nothing to do with Capoeira. It’s cool and all, but from what I’ve seen, it isn't quite my vibe.

By the way, I am absolutely loving this. You guys are definitely going to laugh until you cry—I know why, but it's not even because of that, it's just how ridiculous these moves are that this guy is pulling off.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSMjAZvUGFM (Since I'm looking at this madman anyway, I might as well go with the best one I could find, lol)

I tried searching for what specific discipline this is, but then it hit me... it might not even be a single discipline, but likely just a wild mix of intense BJJ moves. I see traces of parkour in there too, along with all the other nonsense, but hmm... If this actually is a specific skill, please let me know, because I'm trying to find it and every link I click just leads to another BJJ video, over and over again.

Ultimately, we're interested in that martial art that ties in with parkour and gymnastics.

If anyone has a suggestion, I would be truly grateful. You can see we're just rambling here, lol... 😂🤣

There are two possibilities here, and neither of them has anything to do with fighting or martial arts. ☕

1.I want to be a stunt performer.

2. I want to work like Jet Li.

Advice: Just drop the movies and these similar ideas. Everything you want only works in that context, and honestly, that's the only place it ever functions. 🙂
You already know all this, don't you? Just more nonsense floating around. That's it. Good luck. 👍

By the way, this forum is pure cinema. Ong Bak all the way. 🙂

Haha, well, I should have seen that coming... 🙂 Just messing around here, talking big just for the laughs... 🤣 It’s all total nonsense, really, but they kept mentioning these "strategic moves," so I was curious what they actually meant by that... 🙂

Nah, don't worry about my take on it. Like I said, we’re looking at this from the perspective of just trying to stay intact enough to enjoy our own hobbies and whatever else we fancy five or six years down the road... 🙂

Right? Haha... 🙂 This guy is absolutely stone-cold in this movie. Honestly, even an Abrams tank would probably take a hit from him... 😂 🤣

It’s just choreography, my friend. Who knows how many times they had to film a single scene?
As for his fighting style—people say his idols were Bruce Lee and Jet Li. Bruce practiced Jeet Kune Do, while Jet Li was trained in Wushu at the Shaolin Temple. So, I assume there are elements from both in there. Maybe a bit more Wushu than Jeet Kune Do, honestly. And there are probably other styles mixed in too. Well, at least now you have some names to look up. 🙂

(Too bad, really. I was hoping you'd become some famous Hollywood stuntman in five or ten years so I could brag, "Hey, I was the one who sent him those links!!" 😂 XD) Cheers.

Hahahaha 🙂 Yeah, I'm basically a stuntman at this point, haha 🙂 Just typing away on my keyboard here, lol 🤣

Anyway, thanks. I'm going to go check out some of these skills to see what all the hype is about.

They filmed those shots multiple times because they needed them, but yeah, enough takes to show it can be done every single time. It’s not actually that hard if you stay in shape, though some parts... 😲...

I managed to pick up a decent backflip in just two days. Sure, I beat myself up about a hundred times along the way, but I landed it, so that's what matters. I don't think it's too difficult, just pretty painful when you're starting out... 🙂

Thanks, Hannibal 🙂

Not even close. If you look closely, there are actually a few recognizable elements here:

The American Wushu Federation:

Anyway, I have to head into Chicago. Hopefully it isn't freezing up there. 😁

The best way to track down what you're looking for is usually through sites like Pirate Bay or similar torrent hubs.

Here’s a little hand for you—think of it as a shortcut through a dense forest. If you're looking for boxing info, you can find it tucked away in the Combat Styles thread (you know, where they discuss everything from kickboxing to Muay Thai and the rest). It’s all there, laid out clearly:

Hey everyone—I’ve been advised to find a way to shake off some stress through sports, and since soccer just isn't doing the trick for me—plus, I have this thing where my interest in martial arts kind of feeds into everything else—I'm looking for ideas🤣.
I'm 15, almost 16, and I’ve got some background in Taekwondo—trained for maybe a year or two. I also have this nasty knee injury, so boxing seems like the most logical path forward. Honestly, though, I feel a little awkward about showing up at 16 as a complete beginner, so I'm wondering if I should even bother starting... any advice?

You’re 15 and you're worried about being a "beginner"? You're already second-guessing whether to even start? Look, you seriously need to fix that mindset if you want to actually get anything done in life. If you don't enroll in college at 18, you'll feel embarrassed at 20 because you think you're too late. Nothing is ever too late as long as you're still breathing (and healthy).

With boxing, your knees shouldn't be an issue—provided someone actually teaches you how to rotate your torso and shift your weight properly.
