For that kind of cash, you could probably pick up a Corsair Vengeance, GeForce GTX 1650, 512MB GDDR3, 256-bit, PCI-Express. It was just sitting in a backup rig, used a little bit.

It’s an inflated price, plain and simple. If you have the cash, you set the terms, which gives you all the leverage, but let's talk about what this is actually worth. $100/max for that GTS 450, considering there's a GTX 660 sitting there for that performs twice as well—in this specific case, nearly three times better—and it comes with a warranty... $750-$800 range might be more realistic if we were talking about something else, but not here.

It's the same story with those old LGA 775 CPUs; people are asking over $100 for them, not to mention you can find some listed for as little as 700-$267....

GTS 450 ~ HD 7730 (both DDR5)

A new HD 7730 was basically $183... so maybe $117 as a starting point.

Can I get some advice?🙂

Here’s what I’m running:
EVGA 500 W, SS-520GB, Cooler Master Hyper 212, active PFC
kingston 16GB DDR3
AMD FX 8320
gigabyte 970a ud3

I'm looking at picking up an Nvidia 970.

Do I need to grab a new power supply, and will this card actually work with my current setup?

Perfect 😉

You don't need any of it, unless you're just looking for ways to fund the same old cycle.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a solid graphics card for up to $200. I definitely need at least 2GB of VRAM. I previously had a Radeon RX 550, but for some reason, it gave up on me after only about two or three months of gaming. My computer still runs fine using just the integrated graphics, but I can't really play anything demanding, and I’m a little worried about putting too much strain on my processor's built-in graphics by trying to push it too hard. What do you all think?

I was wondering, what kind of processor are you running? And does it happen to have integrated graphics built into it?

And what kind of power supply are you running?

Comparing 2GB to 1GB on a $200 GPU is a total wash. You’re much better off grabbing a more powerful card—like an R7 260 with just 1GB—than settling for a weaker chip just because it has extra memory under the hood.

I'm running an Intel Core i3-2100 @ 3.1 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4 GB
64-bit Operating system
500 GB of storage
Windows 7 Ultimate

I'm looking for a decent graphics card to run NBA 2K14. To make matters worse, ever since I pulled my old card out, the display hasn't been looking great—there are these weird water-like lines streaking downward if you stare at the screen long enough. It doesn't bother me too much, but it's definitely noticeable. I'm not entirely sure which power supply I have, though I did pay $100 for it.

Does anyone here happen to be selling any DDR5 RAM that still comes with a valid warranty?

What do you guys think about the prices at this shop? Is it just me, or does everything seem a bit overpriced lately?...

Greetings;

I am looking to purchase a new graphics card in time for Christmas (especially considering the holiday sales coming up at retailers like Best Buy and Target)

Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x
Processor: Intel Core i5-12400 with 8 MB cache
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Current Graphics Cards: 1x Sapphire HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB GDDR5
1x Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7770 GDDR5

My intention is to play at 1920x1080 resolution
The maximum budget I am willing to allocate is $667

PSU: Corsair RM1000x

1x Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7770 GDDR5

I plan to play at 1920X1080 resolution
My absolute max budget is $667

An R9 280 x is pretty much the ceiling for that budget ($633)

EDIT: I missed that you're looking specifically in SB (though honestly, why wouldn't you just order from a major city where it's way cheaper?), so here is the best option currently at Best Buy in SB (an R9 270 x for $617) within that same budget... in my opinion, buying an R9 270 x when you can get an R9 280 x for almost the same price is just total nonsense... 🤷

Yeah, they definitely are. They have the R7 260 on sale for $233, but normally they sell them for around $217 without any discounts...

Good grief, why a thousand-watt power supply? 😲 Yeah, like I told you, Best Buy is insanely expensive. You'll get a MUCH more powerful card for the exact same money if you just order from another retailer and pay a few bucks for shipping.

I have to admit, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about potential scams. My main concern is that they might pull the funds directly from my checking account, only for me to receive nothing but bricks in return—especially since I've opted for a specific payment method that doesn't allow for installment plans if things go south.

What retailers would you all recommend within the US—specifically those with reliable web shops?

This is somewhat unrelated to the main topic, but I was wondering why you decided to go with a 1kW power supply?😁 Was that part of an existing setup you inherited, or did you purchase it separately?

What kind of online retailers in a major US city would you recommend?

AMD, Centro, Futura-IT, MagazinRS...these are all legit shops. Nobody from these places is going to send you a "brick."😬

There are probably others, but these were the first ones that came to mind since I've dealt with them all before...

Hold up, hold up... you're actually running a 7770 in crossfire? 😬
