Just hold off for a few more days and try the test again if you haven't heard anything by then. I'd bet my life ๐Ÿ‘ that it comes back positive. Itโ€™s entirely possible your ovulation was just delayed, which would explain why the result was negative even if you are pregnant.

In my opinion, that shouldn't have any impact on your results. The hCG hormone is either present in your urine or it isn't, regardless of whether you let the sample sit at room temperature for 15 minutes or not.

By the way, I totally know what itโ€™s like when you see a negative result... and you start desperately hunting for any possible reason why the test might be wrong. Not to mention the frantic searching through the trash or squinting at the test from every single angle and under every possible light, just hoping to catch even the tiniest shadow of that elusive positive line... ๐Ÿ™„

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Itโ€™s practically the law!!!!!!!!!! But seriously, it's true. I honestly thought I was the only one who did this. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Second, we actually have a dedicated discussion on 'Early Pregnancy Symptoms,' where questions just like yours come up every single day; a quick glance through those existing conversations would have saved you from creating an unnecessary new thread.

๐Ÿง Don't be so harsh with new users who are clearly anxious.

Yeah, I was leaning in that direction too... I think Iโ€™ll hold off for just a few more days before running another test. If it comes back positive, Iโ€™ll be sure to drop by and share the good news with you all. ๐Ÿ™‚
It honestly feels so good to have a space like this where you can just reach out for some guidanceโ€”even if I don't have any real answers yet, it's a huge weight off my shoulders just being able to talk it out and hear your thoughts. ๐Ÿ‘ Best to everyone!

Ashley Adams4 said:Honestly, I find threads like this completely pointlessโ€”just a massive waste of time. Thereโ€™s nothing meaningful about them.
Wish we were all some kind of psychic old ladiesโ€”maybe then we wouldn't have to wait for a test to know if someoneโ€™s actually pregnant.๐Ÿ™„
Look, redpilot37, I donโ€™t really get what you were hoping to gain from this thread. Someone might tell you "yes," someone else might say "no"โ€”itโ€™s all just endless noise at this point. It's honestly pointless. Even if your period is late, you aren't any closer to an answer just by talking about it. The only actual, reliable ways to know if you're pregnant are taking a test or getting a blood draw for beta hCG. Everything else is just guesswork and superstition. "Oh, my right breast is aching, I must be pregnant..." please. It reminds me of those old wives' tales people used to spout back in the dayโ€”completely useless.๐Ÿ˜

I feel like I owe everyone following this thread an update, so I wanted to let you all know that I finally got mine. Consider this my official answer to the question I posed earlier, and hopefully, it provides some clarity for anyone else sitting there wondering about the same thing. Sending nothing but good vibes to all the expectant mothers out thereโ€”Iโ€™m looking forward to joining your ranks and starting this journey myself very soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Has anyone else here actually managed to get pregnant right at the tail end of their period?

Alright ladies, here I am again. Some of you might remember me posting a few months back because I was dealing with some weird pains between cycles and feared I might be pregnant. Back then, my period arrived right on schedule, so I went overboard with the testing. My OBGYN gave me the all-clear, everything looked fine on the ultrasound, and my partner seemed totally fine too...
Now, history is repeating itself, except this time my period is already a week late. I don't have any typical pregnancy symptoms, but I also don't feel like my period is coming. Usually, my cramps are unmistakable, but this time thereโ€™s nothingโ€”no PMS, no irritabilityโ€”just pure anxiety. I took a drugstore test, but it came up negative (though it was just one of those cheap ones, and I used it in the afternoon instead of first thing in the morning). Honestly, I didn't think we could even get pregnant since we were being careful. But the thing is, I was just at the doctor a month ago and everything was perfect, yet now I'm seven days late when I'm usually precise to the day, maybe giving myself a one-day grace period.
What am I supposed to make of this?
Thanks

Yeah, I have to admit, Iโ€™m feeling this sharp pain in my lower abdomen whenever I sit down too fast or stand up abruptly... plus, I've got a slight fever of 99 degrees. Thatโ€™s really the only thing on my list of symptoms so far

Look, itโ€™s pretty obviousโ€”there aren't any crystal ball witches living around here, so I guess the only logical takeaway is... maybe go back to your OB-GYN. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn't deal with any pain ๐Ÿ˜•, and I'm pretty sure my temp never even hit 99...
Hey, maybe you should just run the test again, but make sure it's your very first one in the morning...

Well, I took your advice and did another test, but it came up negative again. Honestly, it doesn't even surprise me since there was hardly any chance of me getting pregnant anyway. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for my period to start, praying I'm not one of those 5% who actually gets pregnant despite a negative test. Good grief...
Thanks, stay well, and I hope everything goes smoothly with your little one!๐Ÿ˜

Wait, are there actually people like this???
I mean, how many are dealing with this? Like, where they're going through all that struggle, but the pregnancy tests just keep coming back negative consistently??

I honestly don't know. I've read so many stories here from women who swore their tests were negative when they were actually pregnant... I'm just lost, and I guess I might never get a straight answer. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hi ladies, quick question here:

My period isn't due until October 18th.
Symptoms so far: my breasts feel swollen and tender (though they usually get sore before my period, they don't typically swell like this), I've felt some sharp twinges in my ovaries, and my mood has been all over the placeโ€”Iโ€™ve had these sudden bouts of paranoia followed by intense sadness, only to find myself feeling completely fine moments later. Also, I noticed some yellow discharge today, though there's no odor.

How much longer should I wait before taking a pregnancy test?
thanks

I was expecting my period today, but since my cycle is usually about 28 daysโ€”though it was 26 last monthโ€”Iโ€™m starting to wonder. I feel like I have a whole bunch of symptoms going on; my lower back is killing me, and for the last ten days or so, I've had that heavy feeling like my period is coming, even though it's just some yellowish discharge. It's pretty slimy, but there's no odor or stinging. Since yesterday, I've been feeling really nauseous after eating, and I'm just generally weak and sleepy, though strangely enough, I can't actually sleep through the night because I keep waking up to use the bathroom. I did deal with a bladder infection about three weeks ago, but that cleared up in two days, and now I'm dealing with a cold. I guess you think it could be related to why I'm late?
I'm planning to take a test tomorrow morning using one from Google. Is that brand any good, or should I spring for something more expensive? This one was $10
