I honestly suspect that since your period is so irregular, you might have just misread the timing and attributed it to being ready to arrive.
Which type of pill did you end up taking?

I have already mentioned my previous consumption of Yasmin, and yet I find myself reaching for them once again.

My apologies, I haven't had the chance to read through everything yet 🙂
It’s quite unfortunate, really, because I think Yasmin is absolutely wonderful; I truly have nothing but praise for her 👍

It works perfectly for me, though my friend managed to pack on twenty pounds while on it—not to mention some pretty intense mood swings.

The only thing that irritates me is all this unnecessary noise regarding Yasmin; most of those making a fuss haven't even begun to understand the situation.

Yeah... honestly... I'm inclined to agree that it's all becoming a bit much.👎

I accidentally took two pills tonight 🙄
What should I do? Should I just skip tomorrow or keep taking them as usual?

Keep asking them normally tomorrow. You’ll finish up the questions one day early, take a standard seven-day break, and you're all set. The only difference is that your break won't wrap up on a Sunday, but on a Saturday instead. Does that make sense?

Is Jeanine unavailable here in the States? It seems to have a similarly low dosage compared to Yasmin, which didn't work well for me—though I'm honestly not sure if I should blame them for my hair thinning. I've been reading about Jeanine online, and apparently, it's quite popular on forums in neighboring countries where they use it quite a bit. Do you think a local pharmacy could special order those pills if my gynecologist writes a prescription for them? Or, if they aren't officially on our market, would my doctor even be allowed to prescribe them?

Cure, can I ask just one thing. Has any of you ever shortened that 7-day break to, say, 3 days and then just went back to your regular cycle normally? It’s because I’m a bridesmaid at a wedding and I have this white, almost transparent dress. I thought about using tampons, but I’d be changing them every hour and a half. Does anyone have experience with "shortening the break" like that? Is it actually okay... 🤷

It’s better to skip the break entirely; if you don't take it, you won't bleed at all during that month, and the issue is solved. Once the egg retrieval is finished and the cycle wraps up, just go back to your standard seven-day break.

Yes, just like Aaron Garcia3 said... or you could simply wrap up this packing process three days early, take a seven-day breather, and then dive back into everything on the eighth day—assuming you can pull that off, of course, since you haven't mentioned when the wedding guests are actually arriving.

I ended up doing it—after taking a three-day break from the whole thing—simply because I wanted to actually enjoy a decent week at the beach without any drama. But then I started experiencing some spotting that was a bit heavier than usual, and honestly, it made me incredibly anxious. It felt like I was just leaking a little bit every single day for an entire month. Based on that mess, I would definitely advise you against skipping a cycle; it’s better to just push through and move straight onto the next one.

So, here’s the deal... I have a question... I started taking Yasmin on March 5th... but I didn't actually do that one-week break—you know, the gap you're supposed to take—and just jumped straight into a new pack instead. Today is my very last pill, and the entire time I've been on this second pack, I've been dealing with this constant discharge... at first it was brown, but after about a week, it turned into actual bleeding. I honestly have no clue what is going on with my body right now... so, if any girl out there has gone through something similar and could help me out, I would be seriously grateful... 😁

It’s likely just your body reacting because you didn't give it that chance to reset (have your period), so things are getting a little chaotic internally. 😉Honestly, your best bet is to reach out to a gynecologist for some professional advice. I don't actually know anyone who has skipped their break like that—since most people usually stop a few days early if they want to shift their cycle—so I can't really offer much more than that. 🤷

Oh, please don't restart after only three days—you really need to wait the full seven! You absolutely must take that seven-day break every single time.

That’s exactly how I handled it (meaning a seven-day break) and I never ran into any issues at all.🤷

So, I went a bit overboard with the drinks yesterday and ended up throwing up—which was only the second time in my life, though I’m not sure why I feel the need to justify myself, but that’s just what happens when my boyfriend spends the whole week giving me a hard time 🤣. Now I’m feeling uncertain about my birth control. I took the pill yesterday around 7:30 PM and vomited around 2:00 AM. I’m wondering if it actually had time to work effectively, or if I should just resume my regular schedule, or perhaps be a bit more cautious with protection—not that he ever actually finishes inside me, but I’m thinking about condoms now, assuming we even have sex 😠. What’s the move here?

The way I see it, the effect of the tablet lasts about two to four hours—sort of like a quick caffeine buzz—so based on what you've told me, timing it like that should work fine. Just as if you were taking your next dose at the exact right moment, everything should stay on track.

The instructions—which I have with me, though asking here felt more intuitive than digging through the paperwork—state that if vomiting occurs within three to four hours of ingestion, I should follow the protocol for a missed dose. However, since there was a six-hour gap in this instance, I am hopeful that there is no cause for concern. Thank you. 😉

There is really no reason to worry. A few years back, I found myself throwing up for about two or three hours right after taking my pill. I actually ended up calling the ER, but they told me there was nothing to be concerned about. As it turned out, they were absolutely right—it was nothing at all. Everything settled down just fine.
