That’s actually why I ended up with cellulite; most of it cleared up once I finally stopped taking them.

I actually know a girl who ended up gaining about 20 pounds—just because she started bingeing on those pills, you know, like she just couldn't get herself under control at all 🙄
And then there are the ones where, almost like magic, their bust size jumps up two or three whole sizes—or maybe they just find a really well-fitted bra—within just a couple of weeks
I even know one woman whose chest grew by half a size or a full size—and honestly, it’s totally possible

Uh, hey there. For now, the water isn't really causing weight gain 🙂
It feels to me like those are just stories; maybe they started because their appetite increased, so it’s totally normal that they gained some weight... but still... hmmm

I've always had cellulite, honestly. My weight is basically the same, and my boobs haven't changed either! 😁
The only thing is, my period is super regular now and doesn't even hurt anymore 🙂

So, to respond to Pauli...
I have always taken them right before bed, usually around 11 PM; that was my ritual back then, and it remains my ritual now, because if I were to take them during the daylight hours, I am absolutely certain I would forget them entirely.🙂
As for weight gain, I’ve honestly never struggled with that issue at all, particularly while using Triquilar.🙂
They work fine enough for me, I suppose, though I find myself increasingly drawn to the idea of the contraceptive ring, so I intend to make the switch once I finish this current cycle of pills.
Have any of you ladies heard anything about it?
🙂

Since I need to get back to Paoli...
I’ve always made it a point to take them right before hitting the hay...usually around 11 PM...and honestly, that hasn't changed a bit from how I used to be to how I am now; if I had to take them during the day, I would absolutely forget about them within minutes.🙂
As far as weight gain goes, I have never actually struggled with that issue...especially while I was on Triquilar.🙂
They work fine enough for me...but I find myself increasingly drawn to the contraceptive ring...so I think I'll make the switch over to that soon. My plan is to finish up one more cycle of these pills and then give the ring a shot.
Has anyone here actually heard of it?🙂

I usually knock this back right before bed, like between 10 and 11 PM. It just hits the spot for me! 🙂 I’m also on Triquilar, and clearly, it’s not doing anything to my waistline.

I’ve been on Diane-35 for a while now, and honestly, I haven't had a single issue—even though they're supposed to be one of the higher-risk options.
And yeah, my cycle is perfectly predictable. I know exactly when it's coming—it always hits on a Monday, lasts until Friday, there's no pain, and the flow isn't even that heavy. It’s just... bliss.
When I think back to how things used to be—knowing I'd have to spend two whole days curled up in a ball, practically incapacitated by pain and relying on heavy painkillers—well, those unbearable cramps used to hit every few months like clockwork. But ever since I started these pills, all of that has just vanished.
#1630 ·
Exactly! Before, I had no clue when it was actually going to hit, and man, the cramps were just brutal. Honestly, I don't know how I’d even function at work with pain like that—missing class or college felt way easier. And it almost shows up right on schedule! Like this morning for me, I knew it was coming sometime between 6 and 9 AM. 😁
#1631 ·
So, here’s the deal... like I mentioned before, I started taking Logest and now I’m in that seven-day break period... today—well, it's day three of the break—my period actually showed up... but the cramps were just brutal. And honestly, it wasn't just on the actual day, either; they were hitting me a few days before too. It finally calmed down a bit today after I took two pills... oh, and my nipples look like a weird color now (not sure if that’s even related, but I figured I'd mention it)...
I was wondering if any of you dealt with crazy pains or anything else while your body was still adjusting to birth control...

Yeah, my first one after taking the Tylenol was still pretty rough too. But things definitely leveled out after that!

So, after being on the pill for about a year and a half, I finally decided to stop last month. Now, everything feels completely uncertain... I have no idea when to actually expect my first "real" period to show up. If I had just stayed on them, I would have been due this Friday, which means if it doesn't come, I'll technically be three days late. Before I ever started hormonal birth control, my cycle used to run pretty consistently between 32 and 35 days. Lately, though, I’ve been dealing with some abdominal pain for a few days now... I did have one instance of unprotected sex a couple of days ago—using the withdrawal method—and since he didn't finish inside, I don't think I'm pregnant, though I know that's never a 100% guarantee, theoretically speaking... So, my question is, how long did it take for your first period to return after you quit the pill? And at what point should I actually start worrying and maybe consider taking a pregnancy test if nothing happens?

Okay thanks, that makes me feel better
I usually deal with bad periods (sometimes more, sometimes less), but this first one since starting birth control has been brutal... way worse than usual. But it eventually settles down...

I think I’m actually going to start taking Diane35. This week—probably tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan—I’m due for my period. Honestly, the whole thing just makes me nervous about gaining weight.😢Two of my friends tried it, and they both ended up putting on like 45 pounds.

45 pounds??
That can't be right—how is that even possible? Any weight gain from birth control is usually just because your appetite spikes—you might put on a few pounds here and there or deal with some cellulite, but that's about it.
I have never, ever heard of someone gaining 45 pounds from these pills.
#1637 ·
I honestly don't know, but they really did pack on the weight from them. Then again—I have no idea what their actual diet was like back then. They aren't drinking them anymore, but those extra pounds haven't quite budged. Maybe it's just how they gained it—perhaps there's some underlying issue with their ovaries...
#1638 ·
I first started taking Triquilar when I was nineteen, back during those formative years while my body was still finding its shape. Before that, I was honestly quite thin—maybe around 108 pounds—with very little curves to speak of, just slim legs and nothing else. Now, six years later, I’ve settled at about 117 pounds, but most of that weight has redistributed into more defined curves. I wouldn't say I have huge breasts or a massive backside, but they definitely gave me some shape, even if I haven't gained much since those initial few pounds...

You aren't crazy. Those are just side effects from the pills—honestly, they can be pretty intense sometimes. Which ones are you taking?
#1640 ·
Hey, how’s it going 🙂
Honestly, I never dealt with this kind of stuff during my period before, so everything feels a little weird right now
