Ljupka. Tell us... is this some minor new party, or one of the major established ones?

Michelle Price13 said:well, politics definitely isn't the arena where you go to live out your grand ideals...
it has this way of dragging you right back down to earth, forcing you to realize that dreaming with your head in the clouds just doesn't work in the real world...

The ideal is always going to be out of reach, isn't it?

If a woman has a college degree, she basically has everything she needs to pursue her own values on her own terms—without ever stepping foot in the political ring. Once she enters that arena, she’ll quickly discover that reality is nothing like what she imagined...
but hey, everyone knows what's best for themselves, right?😉

And if ideals were actually being realized the way you just described, we wouldn't be sitting here posting on a .com domain, would we? Besides, where would we even be posting from?😉

There certainly are. 🙂

It might be best to ask a leader in the political party if you can help out, but make sure you ask to be put on the official ballot. Otherwise, all your effort won't really count for much.😍

Jokes aside... the main thing is that you enjoy the crew there and that you guys click. You'll meet new people and feel like you're actually making a difference. That's how it's supposed to work, right? I don't have any experience with political parties myself...

I was incredibly naive to think this party actually stood for anything. It’s a complete joke. These people act like they’re on the verge of a breakthrough, but they're utterly useless. They seem to expect me—someone who just joined—to roll up my sleeves and build their entire platform from scratch while they sit back, nodding along or offering empty gestures. What a disaster. I should have joined a serious organization, something established, where I could actually climb the ladder over the next decade or so... but this? This is a circus. You can't even tell if they're being serious or just mocking the whole process.

Honestly, even that bit of courage I used to have has just evaporated. They really seem to think they’re untouchable, and frankly, they’ve managed to intimidate me. Now, I find myself hesitating more than ever when it comes to anything at all. It wasn't even about being nervous about how a conversation would go anymore; it's more that the drive to take any kind of action has completely left me.

Look, you’ve wandered into the wrong corner of the internet. If your primary concern is actually an issue of self-confidence, you should be browsing a psychology forum or some wellness blog instead of this one. Or perhaps you just popped in here to announce your inevitable rise to political stardom? Honestly, if that's the case, fine. You aren't some random person off the street looking for a handout, so I won't waste my breath being snarky with you. That's also fine. However, there is one glaring logical gap I can't quite wrap my head around: exactly which university are you planning to attend—and, heaven forbid, graduate from—without a high school diploma? And by extension, how does one finish high school without middle school, or even manage middle school without a basic grasp of their own language?
Robert Murphy8 said:we have a meeting with the leadership coming up soon. I am totally freaking out. They probably have certain expectations of me, and I'm just feeling so insecure. This is a party that wants to contribute to improving the lives of everyone in the United States, but my initial euphoria has completely evaporated and now I'm just embarrassed. We are supposed to be something new that has nothing to do with any kind of corruption, which I absolutely despise, because I am a deeply modest person at heart and a true altruist, and I would do anything for a good cause, even go to jail for it, but now I'm worried they might not accept me precisely because of those qualities. Still, I think the party is great and I can see they genuinely want to fight evil. It's just that I am so insecure (...) regarding matters like this. What am I supposed to do?

Get a grip.

They probably have certain expectations of me, and honestly, I’m just feeling really insecure right now. This is a party that genuinely wants to make life better for everyone in America, but my initial excitement has kind of fizzled out, and now I'm just feeling awkward. We are trying to be something new—something completely untainted by the corruption I despise so much. It feels heavy because I’ve always been a modest, selfless person. I would go to prison for a good cause if I had to, but now I'm worried they might not accept me precisely because of those traits. Still, I think the party is great. I can see they truly want to fight against evil. But I struggle with insecurity in general, let alone with stuff like this. I don't know what to do.

Welcome to the Libertarian Party.

But I'm struggling to follow the logic here: what kind of college can you even enroll in—let alone graduate from—without a high school diploma? And how do you finish high school without middle school? Not to mention, how do you even pass elementary school if you don't know your own native language?

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Excuse me? Are you okay?🙄 You know what? You aren't being original, that's all I'll say. And honestly, not everyone writes with perfect grammar like you do. We should still have the right to post something on a forum, shouldn't we?

Honey, everything's gonna be fine. Are you even old enough to be on here?😛

coppernomad59 said:thanks. I really shouldn't be this anxious about it. I mean, I have a degree from a state university and I'm hardly some nobody off the street. They ought to show me a bit of respect. Though, I suppose my mother always manages to spook me. It's silly. She insists I'm not cut out for this kind of thing, and then I just freeze up like a deer in headlights. Maybe she's just jealous. It's a bit sad, really. She keeps telling me, "don't mention this to them," or "don't say that."

😬 You still have a ways to go, I guess. You might want to finish polishing that resume of yours before you head down to Wall Street.
