Drew Reed2 said:Thanks for the reply 😊 I’m definitely gonna check in with my primary care doctor. Another thing eating at me is this weird "vibration" in my legs that started up about a month ago (not sure if it's stress or what). It feels like some kind of electrical current running through my feet and a bit higher up. It’s a super uncomfortable feeling that honestly scares me because it just feels so unnatural. When it first happened, I actually thought my phone was vibrating somewhere under me. I can even feel it when I touch the surface of my skin. My family already thinks I’m losing it with this story, but I’m really worried and wondering if this is tied to the stool issues, the fever, and this blood work. I already deal with Restless Leg Syndrome, which I’m used to—cramps, tingling, whatever—but this is totally new and different. Makes me wonder if my RLS has gotten worse. 🙂Has anyone else dealt with anything like this? Also, does anyone know if you can get a 98.6°F fever from stress? It feels like it spikes during a stress attack and then just drops back down on its own two hours later. Thanks in advance
despairer 🙏

You mentioned stress... look, anxiety shows up in all kinds of ways. If you do a little digging on Google, you'll find plenty about how anxiety manifests physically, and I think a lot of what you're dealing with fits right in (including the stool stuff). Try to figure out what might be triggering it. Are you sweating something specific, or is there pressure at work, in your relationship, or whatever? Pay attention to when the symptoms hit—do they pop up right after a stressful moment, or are they just constantly hanging around?

It's exactly this:

Just some minor twitching—constant muscle fasciculations accompanied by that weird tingling sensation. My full neurological workup was totally fine, including the MRI scans.

A despairer 🙏

Not only is it possible, but that's exactly what happens when things settle down—I experience the same thing myself.
That said, even with stress in the mix, there could be an underlying hormonal issue or a low-grade inflammatory condition that isn't showing up as a major fever, causing those adrenaline surges and temperature shifts.

I honestly can't thank you all enough for the support and the answers. I truly mean it.
After looking at my labs, my doctor sent me off for six different tests. Since I have absolutely no idea how to decipher these things myself, I’ll just list them here. To be honest, I’m dreading the last few—nothing about this looks good to me:

CMV positive

Parvovirus B19 IgG result ———> >46.0
negative < 0.8
borderline 0.8 - 1.1
positive > 1.1

Parvovirus B19 IgM -0.5
negative < 0.7
borderline 0.7 - 1.2
positive > 1.2

Antinuclear antibodies ANA
Result 320
Unit - titer
Ref range
< 80 negative
80 - 160 borderline
160 - 320 weakly positive
> 320 positive
Note: speckled fluorescence pattern

Here is my attempt at making sense of this and what is actually keeping me up at night:

CMV (which I assume relates to mono) is present, but is it active right now? I don't think this specific test provides that info. Does this mean I caught it years ago, or am I dealing with an active infection? (Personally, I suspect I've already had it.)

The Parvovirus seems to be present but not active—at least, that's how it looks to a layman like me.

So, ANA—weakly positive.
What does that note even mean? Questions, questions everywhere.

I refuse to look up what Google says I have; the search results are absolutely soul-crushing.👎😲
Does anyone out there know anything about this??

Born 1993
My symptoms: metabolic issues—mostly loose stools, that feeling where you just can't fully empty your bowels, vibrations, tingling, and various strange sensations in my legs. For two months now, I've had constant sinus drainage. I've run a fever of 98.6°F twice. I am under massive, unrelenting stress with no way to escape the source. Occasional malaise too.
Thanks in advance. 🙏

I'm new to this forum and I haven't quite mastered the layout yet, so I'm having a bit of trouble replying directly to people.

Brenda Parker5
I've gone through all your replies, and I even went down a rabbit hole watching videos on YouTube.
Brenda Parker5, these vibrations are driving me absolutely insane. Honestly? I'm starting to suspect it's my blood vessels or something else entirely rather than just muscles. That's the sensation I get when it happens.🙏
The feeling is maddening. It’s like my legs are constantly trembling, and that surface layer is vibrating just like a cell phone buzzing against your leg.

Welcome to the club. Is it even possible for people to actually do this to themselves?😵
I'm just relieved I'm not imagining things; seeing that it's clearly happening to you too confirms it's a real thing.

vividpilot39
Sure, I am constantly stressed out, but looking at these latest lab results... I'm not so sure it's just anxiety anymore.👎 If only it were that simple, I could just move on with my life.

I'm incredibly worried. Thank you all for everything.

I'm glad I'm not just imagining things, especially since it's clearly happening to you too.

Which CMV came back positive? Was it the IgG or the IgM? If it's just the IgG, that's usually considered fine—just something you've already cleared. I'm not quite sure about the Parovirus, though; that one can be tricky...

It’s definitely possible. Even if you just get a minor cut while cooking, your temperature can spike from the shock, so if there's already some mild inflammation in the CNS, it's bound to feel even more intense.
Keep pushing for those ANA tests to see if there's an underlying autoimmune issue alongside the infectious stuff.

It's entirely possible. Even if you just nick your finger while cooking, the shock can spike your temperature. And if there's any mild inflammation in the CNS? Well, then you're looking at an even sharper spike.
Keep pushing for those ANA tests. You need to see if there's an underlying autoimmune issue lurking behind the infectious disease stuff.

The IgM is positive.
I was reading up on the symptoms for Parovirus, and honestly, I don't have anything like that. Usually, you catch it once and you're immune for life, right? It's also called Fifth Disease—I think it's categorized with childhood illnesses, kind of like chickenpox.

If your CMV IgM comes back positive, it means the infection is active right now. That’s why you really need to keep an eye on your liver levels—check those ALT, AST, and GGT numbers. No point in being a 🙂, just take it easy and stick to a liver-friendly diet.

Advice: don't burn yourself out trying to hunt down the cause—it'll just make everything worse. I've seen people go absolutely overboard at the immunologist, running like ten thousand tests—ten times more than necessary—basically doing a full-body magnetic scan and everything. You aren't going to find a "smoking gun," and honestly, a ton of people deal with this exact thing and everyone ends up just spiraling into anxiety. Some possible links though: maybe recovering from mono or having low Vit D...
Hopefully I'll find out soon if it wasn't just my B6 levels being totally off the charts..

I'll know soon enough if my B6 has ascended to heaven...

I honestly have no clue what is causing these vibrations. It is absolutely terrifying. My breath literally hitches every time I feel them. I’m a panicker by nature, sure, but when this hits? Good grief, I need something to take the edge off just to function.
I tried Normabagel and nothing worked. Now I'm on Bromazepam—just been a few days and it's a tiny dose, but I want to see if it actually helps. It seems to help a little, but not entirely.

My B12 blood work came back fine.
Magnesium, sodium, potassium levels in the blood are all okay.
I haven't checked B6 or any other B vitamins because I don't even know if they matter? And Vitamin D? Who knows if there's any connection at all. 😵

Right now, what's keeping me up at night is this ANA result.

Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA)
Result: 320
Unit: titer
Ref unit
< 80 negative
80 - 160 borderline
160 - 320 weakly positive
>320 positive

Thanks for the input and the advice,
I suppose everything looks pretty standard if we're looking at the same thing, right? 😁

(S) Aspartate aminotransferase 21 --> 8-30
(S) Alanine aminotransferase 14 --> 10-36
(S) Gamma-glutamyl transferase 10 --> 9-35

Honestly, I have no idea if I actually have mono right now or if this is just some lingering ghost from way back when.

Does anyone here know anything about this? I know I'm being a total pest, but it's the weekend, I have nobody else to ask, and I can't sleep for the sheer anxiety of it all. I'm losing my mind...!!! Is it possible this means I'm dealing with some kind of autoimmune disease 😲😲:

Antinuclear Antibodies ANA

< 80 negative
80 - 160 borderline
160 - 320 weakly positive
>320 positive

Thank you all for comforting me and talking to me. This is all incredibly heavy, and I really want to share a recent health situation of mine—something that triggered all these suspicions and this massive wave of stress. I'll write it out, but it's going to take me a bit longer to get it down; just know that this happens, because you won't find anything about it on the American internet, absolutely nothing. I'll need to carve out some time to write that part. Maybe even tonight. Anyway, in the end, it wasn't what they suspected, but the whole story is just INSANE. Best to everyone.

Can any kind soul help me out here?
Basically, no matter what I eat, my stomach starts churning and I get so much gas. It doesn't matter what food it is—this has been going on for at least a month now.
The weird thing is, nothing else really hurts...

I don't want to bother a doctor while I'm dealing with this virus, and honestly, I can't stand it, but is there anything I can do to help myself?

Could someone please provide some clarification if they are more experienced in interpreting lab results? My Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) came back at 46, which is a bit lower than the standard Ref unit. My other liver enzymes, AST and ALT, are within the normal range, though my GGT is 74, sitting just slightly above the norm. Regarding my lipids, my atherosclerosis index is 2; total cholesterol is 5.9, HDL is 1.6, LDL is 3.9, triglycerides are 1, and VLDL cholesterol is 0.4.

Male, 50 years old, 185cm, 105kg

Thank you.

Don't sweat it. It’s when those enzyme levels spike that you really need to pay attention. These specific numbers don't point to any underlying pathology on their own; it’s actually pretty common to see variations like this in perfectly healthy people.

Can anyone take a look at these blood work results and tell me if I should be worried?

(K) Neutrophils 36.2 L rel % 44 - 72
(K) Lymphocytes 57.2 H rel % 20 - 46
(K) Lymphocytes 5.3 H 1.19 - 3.35

Everything else regarding my blood counts and urine tests came back normal.

I remember reading somewhere a while back that stress can mess with your lymphocyte levels, and honestly, I've been under an immense amount of pressure lately, so I'm wondering if that's playing a role here.

Hey everyone, has anyone else dealt with liver issues? For about two months now, I’ve been dealing with constant muscle aches, fatigue, and just feeling totally wiped out. My liver enzymes were elevated, though during my last check-up after two months, my ALT was only slightly up at 50 (with the upper limit being 48). I've already cleared the tests for mononucleosis and hepatitis—everything came back negative. The real headache is that the muscle pain, weakness, and exhaustion aren't going anywhere. Thyroid hormones look fine, ultrasound and Holter ECG are normal, and my lungs are clear too. Everyone seems convinced it's my liver, but honestly, this is dragging on way longer than I expected. Thanks!

Everything else in my blood and urine tests looks normal.

I read somewhere recently that stress can impact lymphocyte levels, and I've been under a massive amount of pressure lately. Does that matter here?

It’s probably best to just run the labs again in about two weeks. Based on a single measurement alone, this doesn't look like anything dangerous.

My thyroid levels are normal, and my ultrasound, EKG, and lung scans all look fine. Everyone seems to be pointing toward my liver, but it feels like this is dragging on way too long. Thanks!

Hey there. Given how broad symptoms like fatigue, muscle soreness, and weakness can be, they could stem from just about anything. It’s impossible for anyone to give you a definitive answer based solely on those details. Honestly, an ALT of 50 isn't necessarily the smoking gun here. Your best bet is to follow up with a specialist for a thorough evaluation. If you need a recommendation for a good doctor, feel free to shoot me a DM and I can help you out.

Hey everyone... just dropping in to say hello...
So, I was looking over my X-ray results earlier today, and there’s this specific note written on the report... So, I was looking over some medical stuff earlier, and I came across this note about sclerosis on the irregular edges of a 14 mm area in the right iliac bone... it’s one of those things that sounds much more intimidating than it probably is, though I suppose when you're staring at clinical terms, everything feels a bit heavy... basically, it's just showing some thickening or hardening of the bone along those uneven margins in the right hip area... nothing to lose sleep over without talking to a doctor, I'd imagine, but it's funny how a tiny little measurement like that can make you pause for a second... anyway, just a bit of technical jargon to digest...
Does anyone actually know what this means? My doctor sent me off to get some blood markers checked out, but I can't help wondering if there's any other way to read into it... just sitting here overthinking everything, I suppose...

The X-ray results say... Sclerosis of irregular edges, measuring 14 mm, located in the right ilium.
Does anyone know what this implies? My doctor ordered some blood markers, but could there be any other reason behind it?

Sclerosis essentially means bone density has spiked in a specific area. It’s a thickening caused by a breakdown in the natural remodeling process.

There isn't just one reason for this. The primary factor is context: why was the imaging ordered in the first place? We have to look at whether this was a random finding or if the patient actually presented with specific symptoms—like localized pain—along with their medical history and the nature of those complaints.

The clinical picture can vary wildly. You might be looking at anything from standard bone healing after an injury to issues with blood supply—like a bone infarct—or even infections. Then there are congenital conditions, benign or malignant tumors, and ultimately, metastasis.

In other words, the shift is vague.

The description of the change lacks sufficient detail. Without more specifics, it’s impossible to determine if we're looking at a homogeneous or heterogeneous shift, nor can we pinpoint whether it's localized within the cortex, the medulla, or sitting right on the boundary between the two.

The shift clearly exceeds one centimeter, and those jagged edges mean we’re going to need some serious corrective work. It would be a huge help if an experienced orthopedic specialist could take a look at the displacement on the scan to guide how we handle the next steps.
