Hey, northernfox30!

You've hit the jackpot with Dr. Babic—she’s an excellent physician. Her clinic is located within the Stjepan Radic dorm complex (near Sava), just past Savski Gaj. She actually sees everyone, not just students, which is a huge plus. I’ve been going to her for 15 years now, and honestly, I couldn't be happier. She’s professional, a sharp diagnostician, and she doesn't make a fuss about handing out referrals.

On a side note—if you happen to know anyone in Rijeka (I just moved there recently and am hunting for a solid GP myself)—please send some recommendations my way!

Good luck, cheers.

northernfox30 said:Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a general practitioner in New Chicago? I’m currently at a clinic in Utrina, but I’m not exactly thrilled with them—apparently, they have this weird arrangement where they won't take patients transferred from other doctors in the same clinic—so I’m looking to switch to a different practice.

Thanks a million.

Thanks so much!!!!

I'm looking for a really good dentist in either Chicago or the Suburban City area... honestly, it's been forever since my last visit and I really need to finally go. I have to admit, I'm pretty terrified about it... my front tooth is slightly discolored, so I’d love to get that fixed to a bright, perfect white. I just don't want some butcher working on me who might actually make things worse instead of doing a proper job...

I'm hoping for some advice! ☕

I'm looking for some recommendations, please.

I’ve just finished moving in—of course, naturally, I had to get sick right as everything settled—so now I have to tackle all this medical stuff one step at a time.

I’ve heard mention of Dr. Zrinka Bradicic-Vivod (General Practice), but I don't actually have much information about her. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

Thanks a million!!

:-)

Need some help here. Dealing with atypical left-sided pleuropneumonia—this is actually the second time in six months. Even after 12 days on Avelox, the antibiotics aren't doing squat. Fever won't break, and as the temp climbs, the chest pain gets worse. I'm just getting more and more exhausted...
Since the start, Milan-Vuksic has been heading me over to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Is there any better alternative for a second opinion?? If not in Split, then where else??
Please, I need urgent help.

Have you guys seen Dr. Ivancevic? He’s also over at Firulama.

Nah, I didn't. Just happened to land in Dr. Milan Vukšić's lap during my first round... Anyone here actually dealt with Dr. Ivančević?

Maria Stewart79 said:Does anyone have a solid dentist recommendation? I need someone who actually knows their stuff when it comes to prosthetics—things like veneers, fillings, and all that newer tech. Ideally, I'm looking for someone in the heart of Washington, D.C. central area. I really don't want to deal with being out in some far-off suburb or stuck on the outskirts of New York City. Just somewhere central and reliable.

.

I’d honestly recommend Dr. Zoran Ivasović. His practice is called Fiziodent-dva and it’s right over in the Krešimirac neighborhood. Look, I’m telling you this as someone who hasn't stepped foot in a dentist's office in twenty years because I’m absolutely terrified of them. Trust me on this one. 😁

The doc is a legend. He actually cured my dental phobia and fixed three teeth in one go. 😂

It’s not covered by Medicare, so it’s going to cost you a decent chunk of change, but trust me—it’s worth every penny. 😳

Dear user,
Could anyone recommend a good dentist in Canada? I'm looking to get some implants done, and since I have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule, I was thinking about heading over there for some medical tourism. I've heard that the costs can be significantly lower. My local dentist just gave me a consultation today regarding the procedure, and he quoted me roughly $1,100 per implant...
I would really appreciate any information on which Canadian dentists specialize in working with Americans...
Thanks and best regards,

Maria Stewart79 said:I am looking for recommendations for a reliable dentist in Washington, D.C.—specifically someone skilled in prosthetics, such as veneers, fillings, and more modern procedures. Ideally, I would prefer somewhere in the central area rather than in Brooklyn or out on the outskirts.

Someone here suggested Dr. John Doe over on Derenčin near Quartic—has anyone actually visited him, and if so, how was your experience? It strikes me as odd when someone joins this forum just to drop a single recommendation and nothing else. Another user recommended Dr. Michael Frantic, but they also only posted once. Does anyone here have actual experience with them? I haven't seen any follow-up posts from patients confirming whether they were satisfied with the results.

Does anyone have experience with Dr. Check in Rudes on George Antunac Street—how is his work? (Though, honestly, that isn't very central for me). Or perhaps Dr. Jordanic in Ozalj, located in Queens?

I am truly requesting your honest recommendations, comments, and experiences. Thanks in advance.

Whatever you do, don't let someone casually steer you toward Blazenka Crnojevic. She runs Crnojevic Dental Studio at 37 Trnjanska St, and frankly, it is nothing more than a high-priced scam. They will try to sell you on ridiculous dental appliances by claiming they’ll somehow improve your joint health, charging you an exorbitant amount (anywhere between $5,000 and $2333). When you go in for checkups, they act as if they are weighing your teeth on two different digital scales just to see if one side is heavier than the other. It's absurd. You show up to get a tooth fixed, and they spin such a convincing yarn that you end up buying those useless appliances too. To make matters worse, the actual dental work isn't even done properly. Avoid that office at all costs!

I honestly thought this forum was supposed to be anonymous, but apparently not—despite everything the moderators claimed. You can basically dig up anyone's info if you look hard enough. Looking at how people are constantly hunting for doctors, specialists, or dentists here, it's clear everyone has their own horror stories or success stories, whether it’s a gynecologist, a GP, a dentist, or whoever else.
Everyone's experience is totally different, and frankly, I don't think it's right to be out here publicly soliciting doctors, specialists, dentists, or OB-GYNs like this. It could really backfire on patients who take this advice blindly.
Because of all this, I'm done with this site.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Pelivan. First and foremost, he’s actually a decent human being—which, let's be honest, feels like a rare luxury these days—and he genuinely cares about his craft. He clearly knows his stuff and puts in the effort, all without charging those extortionate prices you see everywhere else. I'm quite pleased with how everything turned out, especially since he collaborates with a top-tier dental lab. Honestly, I wouldn't trade him for anyone else; even my friends have nothing but good things to say. It really feels like we've managed to find a needle in a haystack, doesn't it? If only every practitioner possessed half his integrity!🙏

I’m looking for a recommendation for a solid, caring dentist who accepts Medicare—ideally somewhere around the Gajnic, Stenjevac, or Vrapc areas.
It’s for my elderly parents, so someone really skilled with prosthetics would be perfect.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid GP over near Rockefeller, by the Gupcev intersection? I'm pretty sure there's a medical center right on that street. It looks like they have a OBGYN and a dental clinic, so I'm guessing they probably offer general practice too. If you happen to know their office hours, that would be amazing. Thanks! 🙂

Hi. Like the title says, I’m looking for a dentist who actually delivers high-quality work. I’m not worried about the cost of a filling or whether they take private insurance; I just want someone who truly knows their craft and does it right.
What else is there to say?🙄

Just noticed a little chip in one of my teeth. There’s a tiny hole now, and since a filling is already holding the thing together, I'm getting a bit worried. I have an amazing dentist back in San Diego, but she’s currently away on vacation. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dentist in Washington, D.C., who isn't out of office right now? I’m assuming I'll probably need to see someone private, so if you could suggest someone who won't completely fleece me, that would be great. 😢
