Ideally, one located near Vodnikov.
Currently, I am seeing Neda Kršek, and quite frankly, she is completely out of her depth.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙄

I am also extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Kršek and her general lack of competence, so I am searching for a new primary care physician—preferably in the Center area or nearby. I need someone who is highly professional, polite, knows exactly when and where to refer a patient, and doesn't withhold necessary referrals or prescriptions.
Additionally, if anyone could send me a private message with information regarding a high-quality dentist—whether they accept Medicare or are in private practice—I would be very grateful.
Thank you!

Can anyone point me toward a good socialized gastroenterologist? I really need actual treatment here, not just some quick check-up 😉

Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a solid dentist up in the Appalachia area?

I still haven't received a straight answer to this question, despite asking several times:

Look, I'm just looking for a general practitioner in the Brooklyn area or a local Community Health Center... nothing fancy. Just a normal, decent doctor who isn't some "specialist" type, as long as they're actually accepting new patients. And please, I want someone who doesn't come with a nurse who storms out of the office looking absolutely livid the second you knock on the door—acting like you personally insulted her entire family just because you had the nerve to ask if they're taking new patients.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or better yet, who should I stay far away from?

I moved to the west side of town last year, so I’m trying to figure out which Community Health Centers cover my area? Is it the one near Lincoln Park? Or maybe over by Downtown?... what else is out there?
I really need a solid GP.

See, I had an amazing doctor at my old clinic on the east side, and even though I moved, I had zero intention of switching. But then, for some reason, she left and this new woman took her place.
She’s incredibly young, way too cocky, and she’ll throw out a diagnosis in five minutes flat without asking a single follow-up question, let alone ordering any tests...
And her waiting room is always completely empty 🤷
It’s probably just the new breed of corporate doctors who only care about churning through as many patients as possible while keeping overhead at a minimum.
They don't give a damn about the patients, and honestly, they don't even seem to care about medicine....

Anyone have any leads on good private orthopedists?

So, back in April, my son basically snapped his medial epicondyle during a sports game—that’s the bony bit where the tendons attach to rotate your hand, if you want the layman's version. We hit the hospital that same day, but some random doctor there just slapped a cast on him for two weeks and brushed it off like it was nothing. Obviously, it was *not* nothing. Since then, we’ve bounced between a bunch of Medicare specialists and physiatrists, and honestly, everyone has a different theory—it's a joke! One says, "He should've had surgery immediately," another claims, "A couple of tiny screws would've fixed it," while someone else just shrugs and goes, "Well, it is what it is." They even gave conflicting advice on whether he can play handball again or if he needs to hang it up for good. Meanwhile, this 15-year-old kid can't even squeeze out two pull-ups in gym class without his elbow killing him.
If we try to go through the public system at the local clinic, we're looking at waiting until March 2010—no thanks! I’m leaning towards going private, but I have no clue who to trust. From what I hear, the quality varies wildly—you've got world-class pros with great service and fair rates, and then you've got those other guys who are cheap because they rush you through a six-minute exam $200.
If anyone has personal experience, please send some recommendations my way! Also, does anyone know anything about Akromion over in Krap Spa? Thanks!

Ethan Moore36 said:Does anyone know where I can find a decent sports massage in Washington, D.C.?
Honestly, I’ve completely wrecked my lower back muscles, and the pain is absolutely killing me.
For context, I'm an athlete who splits time between soccer and heavy lifting at the gym, and I have quite a large build.
It turns out that's a pretty brutal combination, believe me.

Help!

Dr. Jadranka Brozd, located at Brozova 26—she runs a private practice, so you'll be paying out of pocket, but...
I dealt with some serious knee issues myself because I overdeveloped my quads way too fast (thanks to a very intense trainer 😛). My entire course of therapy lasted about 2–3 weeks, involving things like $500 magnetic therapy, ultrasound, massages, joint manipulations, specific exercises, and more... but even after 10 YEARS, my knees haven't bothered me one bit since...🙂 so I truly believe it is worth the investment...

Now, I just make sure to go in for a massage every once in a while. The last time I went was about a year ago; I had two massages and one joint manipulation session, which I think cost somewhere around $300$133... but I still vividly remember that incredible sense of relief and mobility I felt right after the massage👍

I’d suggest Dr. Ruža Sarkotić, she's a dentist located at Slovenski 1 in Washington, D.C.
It's a private practice, but they do take Medicare.
She schedules patients efficiently so there isn't any waiting around, and honestly, the doctor is highly skilled, incredibly kind, and just... truly exceptional.

Hi everyone!
My dad has already gone through four different antibiotics (Azithromycin, Efox, Citeral, and Sinersul) on his primary doctor's recommendation, and absolutely nothing has worked. Now, he’s facing a hospital visit because he's been running a low-grade fever (99.5°F) for an entire month, along with high sedimentation (85), elevated CRP (75), a dry hacking cough, and pain in his gallbladder and intestines. I'm looking for some advice: which hospital in Miami is better—Jackson Memorial or Mount Sinai? Specifically, where are the specialists and surgeons more skilled, and where do they actually treat patients with dignity? Can anyone recommend a solid internal medicine specialist in Miami who practices at either of those hospitals? Or maybe a great private practitioner? I’m honestly getting desperate; they just keep bouncing him from one doctor to the next without anyone being able to pin down a diagnosis.
I’d really appreciate any insight from people who know their way around these hospitals or have had good experiences there.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I wasn't quite sure which section would be the best fit for this question, so I decided to just drop it here. A friend of mine is seriously considering liposuction, and we’ve narrowed our search down to two options: Barbel in Washington, D.C., and Dr. Matelić’s clinic over in a smaller town. I was wondering if anyone here has any firsthand experience with either of these places, or even if you've just heard some whispers about them? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, I know I'm totally reviving a thread from two years ago... my husband is going through the exact same thing, so I'm down a rabbit hole searching the web and stumbled upon you. How did everything turn out? Any chance you can recommend a good doctor now?

Does anyone here happen to have any firsthand experience with any of these dentists:

- Leventić http://www.so-leventic.com/home.php
- Dr. Boris Džundžev
- Dr. Iva Turner Zlatar

Regarding that last practice, I happened to come across a recommendation online, though it was posted by someone who only has three entries to their name on this forum; consequently, I find myself wanting to verify that it wasn't merely some sort of paid advertisement 🤣 (and please, no offense intended toward our fellow forum member)

I’m on the lookout for a solid ophthalmologist—specifically someone who specializes in retinal issues. Also, does anyone know if the City Clinic is considered one of the top-tier options here in the States?

Does anyone happen to know a reliable gynecologist who takes Medicare? I'm looking for some solid recommendations.
I tend to stick exclusively to private practitioners, so I suppose I’m a bit out of the loop when it comes to anything involving general providers like Ginicka.
Well, since I’ve dealt with a spontaneous miscarriage, I really don't want anyone breathing down my neck or making things difficult if I happen to get pregnant again. If that happens, I'll likely need to go on immediate maternity leave for bed rest, and I'd prefer not to have any unnecessary drama complicating my medical needs.
Help!

I stumbled onto this forum while hunting for a decent primary care doctor here in New York City. I didn't see anything specifically useful for my own needs, but I figured I'd share this for the rest of you:

Thanks in advance.

Lately, everywhere I go, I can't stop raving about my dentist: Dr. Gordana Ercegovic, located on New Road, tel: 3820-915. She’s young, but incredibly capable—it’s like she was born with dental drills in her hands. About six months ago, she fixed my front fillings, and they've never looked better. Then, right before Bozic, one of those prehistoric fillings fell out of a completely rotten molar. I rushed to see her (giving her a little heads-up so she wouldn't be startled by the state of it), only for her to ask if I had an X-ray of the tooth first... she wanted to check if there was a granuloma at the root to see if it was even worth patching it up just to get another five or six years out of it. Honestly, I was speechless. The woman works through Medicare and still puts in that much effort...
She's accepting new patients right now—probably because she's new, I suppose—but judging by how she works, she'll be fully booked in no time. 👍
