I actually got into it with some guy last night over Counting Crows—no joke.😁

I was worried it was getting serious.
Was he for them or against them? ☕
Haha, sorry. OT: Just venting while I scroll through all this mindless USA bureaucracy.

Totally against it. People call them "mainstream sellouts" or whatever—that was basically the label used for the band that actually showed me the light of rock music. I mean, sure, maybe they are mainstream sellouts, but it honestly sucks hearing people talk about them like that.

I don't get why everyone treats the mainstream like it’s some kind of sin. Is it just this desperate need to feel special? Everyone wants to be "different," but that just makes them all look the same. Whatever.
There's nothing inherently wrong with listening to what's popular. You can't live your whole life being underground or an underdog. You can try, I guess, if you want a couple of niche fans to recognize you. Meh.
I listen to what I want. If it hits right, if it moves me, or if it just numbs the noise—whatever I need in the moment, I play it. I don't waste energy labeling my taste or worrying about whether it fits someone else's criteria.
Whatever.

I don't see anything wrong with mainstream music itself. You can't spend your entire life living in the underground or being some perpetual underdog. You can choose to go that route if you want, but then you'll just be known by a tiny handful of niche enthusiasts. Whatever.
I listen to whatever I feel like—whatever hits right, whatever gets me moving, or even whatever numbs me out when I need to zone out. I don't waste my energy putting songs into little boxes based on whether they're "cool" or "popular."
pure evil
and honestly, there's nothing wrong with that; I'm listening to pure evil today and it feels great. 😁

Man, I’m really out here facing the music
Nigga, I haven't even stepped foot out the house in forever
Just living out everything I put on paper
And honestly—all I see is fake energy from these niggas
But Momma taught me how to spot them a mile away

Townes is the absolute law!
It’s a dream scenario getting to hear my favorite country songwriter alongside Chris Stapleton 👍

There’s just something about watching a record spin that keeps me grounded.

I I actually dig it.
The vinyl looks incredible. The finish is slick and the colors are spot on. It’s definitely unconventional, but it works. The music itself? No shot. There isn't a single way this stuff is calming me down. 😁

My head starts spinning, one tear rolls down my face
My whole body goes cold
I'm shaking while they're all scrambling, trying to save the Dogg
Pumping on my chest—I'm screaming--
Then I stop breathing... man, I'm seeing demons
