There’s this growing crowd convinced we’re staring down the barrel of Armageddon any day now

The Kansas City Chiefs were easily the superior side in the second half. Los Angeles FC basically vanished from the pitch during those final 45 minutes, leaving the visitors to hammer away at chance after chance. Hope rattled the woodwork and missed a sitter, Jakoliš nearly sent one in with a header that just grazed the post, and Livaković pulled off an absolutely miraculous reflex save to deny Dolček. It was a pathetic showing by Los Angeles FC in that second half, though they somehow managed to scrape a third goal right at the end.
well, I suppose that’s exactly what we were looking for 🙂

Given how poorly they were playing before this, I’d call this progress, and honestly, I’m happy with it 👍
for the sake of love

Finally, Friday! 🎉
🎉
my Friday didn't even truly start until later since I was stuck working all afternoon, though I have to admit I actually missed being at the office because I genuinely enjoy my job.

My Friday's only just getting started since I worked the afternoon shift. Honestly, I actually missed being at work... it's actually pretty great there.
I love my job, I really do, but man... nothing beats having a day off... 😉
U2... what can I even say? Just a massive headache.
Rattle and Hum... man, talk about a total blast from the past. I must've gotten lost somewhere along the way; back when I was a picky teenager, I thought this stuff was way too pretentious... 🧐 😁
no shame in it—snow day... ...

Well obviously, but I just had a whole month of vacation, and before that, everything was strictly remote, so at least now I get some live sessions with the finals.

no shame - snow day ...
Rattle and Hum is mostly just live versions of old tracks, but yeah, I agree. I used to listen to Rattle and Hum back in seventh grade—I even had the VHS and everything—and honestly, their follow-up, Achtung Baby, was a solid album too, but those early works are definitely incomparable to anything they did later on. That’s why I eventually stopped listening; even though I caught their concert in NYC, it was more out of pure nostalgia than anything else.
I'm going to go take a stroll through the snow with my headphones on. Ever since I moved to this lovely, windless city to deal with my existential crisis, I've completely fallen for the next best thing, whatever that may be. 🙄 😁
