Is it just me, or is it way better when the link is actually embedded in the text instead of having these stupid thumbnails cluttering everything up?

I actually feel the opposite. I can't stand plain, naked links when it comes to music videos.

The fact that people figured out how to embed YouTube's players into forum posts just proves there are plenty of people out there who agree with me.

Travis - Sing (official HD video)

Killer track and a hilarious video.

PS: When a video is actually embedded in a post, you can tell right away if it’s worth clicking. Having a description there just makes it even better.

If I see some ugly heavy metal thumbnail, I know I'm skipping it immediately.
But when it's just a raw link, I'm disappointed most of the time—like that "Perseverance" link from earlier that I wouldn't have touched if I saw the thumbnail...

There’s something really cool about Mongolian throat singing.
I really need to figure out how this guy is pulling off some of those sounds...

ep Gilgamesh, sung in Sumerian!
That singer has a ton of those old-school tracks. Some of them even have the sheet music preserved.

The core concept of this topic has been fundamentally different from your mindless finger-pointing for years now... please, just spare us the headache if you don't absolutely have to. 🙂

What kind of "concept" are we talking about here?

"For the skydivers out there, NP = Now playing, dropping the link to what we're listening to right now"

Well, this is what's on my playlist... and honestly, you should just listen to whatever you feel like listening to.

Go back and look through the last hundred pages if you want, then you can see exactly how many times we’ve been linking people just like you do.

Philosophy: "When the herd moves, everyone follows"...

Why would I even click a random link from a Metallica post when I already know I'm not interested in that kind of stuff?

The whole idea is that it isn't meant to be crude 🙂 but rather quite elegant 😁

And honestly, why would I even bother clicking on some random link from a Metallica fan if I already know damn well that kind of stuff isn't my thing?

Look, if you don't want to click my links, then fine, just don't click them and we're all good. It’s simple. Just like how I’m not going to click your thumbnails or pretend to care about Mongolian throat singing. My only issue is that the layout is an eyesore, and we aren't used to seeing stuff like that here.

I have no clue what you mean by "crude," but even The Roman knew you can't argue with taste. If they figured that out thousands of years ago, you definitely had enough time to wrap your head around it... 😁

I have zero intention of keeping track of who likes what.

Being stuck in your own little bubble is just a sign of a rigid mind...

Logic is a different story. I already made my points.

True, but since I’m a Libra, it stands to reason that we possess the most diverse range of tastes, which is precisely why everyone should just listen to us. 🙂 😁

How can you claim to have taste if you don't love Mongolian throat singing?!
It's pretty obvious that astrology is just pure superstition... 😁

It’s painfully obvious that horoscopes are nothing more than pure, unadulterated superstition. 😁

Allow me to clarify that I wasn't the one who actually weighed in on the whole Mongolian throat singing debate; that was my colleague, Jason Mendoza. 😁
If you really must know, I am absolutely thrilled. 🤣
