My thoughts are pretty much the same. 😁

Anyway, we could just do it this way. Freshly posted.

😁 Jamie Davis9, protecting the innocent civilians at all costs! 🧐

Yesterday totally made up for all those stupid Fridays. Climbed a massive hill with an incredible view, hiked through a gorgeous forest, read a great book in a perfect setting (right by the banks of the 😍 River), ran into some good people... I could go on vacation like that right now. 😵

Like two old guys taking out a third ............

Today finally made up for all that nonsense from Friday. I hiked up a hill with an incredible view, trekked through a gorgeous forest, and spent some time reading a great book in a perfect little setting right by the riverbank. 😍Honestly, looking at those lovely people... I could pack my bags and head off on a vacation just like that right this second. 😵

It’s honestly pathetic how two old-timers can just swoop in and steamroll a third one without a second thought. ...

Honestly, let's just leave her alone; she isn't worth the breath. 🙄

Whenever someone has the audacity to claim that anyone could deliver a better performance than Cohen, I immediately recognize them for what they truly are: a complete idiot. There is absolutely no way anyone else can touch him.
Hallelujah.

For instance... if someone tells me anyone could perform this better than Cohen, I immediately know they're just an idiot... there's zero chance they could pull it off. ))
Hallelujah...

Of course someone can. Jeff Buckley is better. ☕

Mhmm. He didn't stand a chance from the get-go of actually grasping what he was singing about, let alone how he was doing it.

It’s been 35 years since the disaster, and this kind of soundtrack would make even Lustmord proud.

Back when the series first dropped, I went down this absolute rabbit hole where I felt this manic, driving need to understand every single detail about nuclear reactors; I spent months obsessively studying the mechanics of it all.

I had a similar episode recently where I became obsessed with quantum physics, spending just as much time drilling into the theory until I felt like I actually understood it.

Honestly, there are times I actually regret not having that same obsessive drive to learn about more... normal things.

When the series first dropped, I had this manic urge to learn everything there was to know about nuclear reactors. Spent months studying it like a fanatic.

Same thing recently with quantum physics—got obsessed and went down that rabbit hole too.

Honestly, sometimes I wish I had the drive to learn normal things.

As for me, I spent the other day digging through Wikipedia and news archives into the Mensheviks, Bolsheviks, and all those factions from recent Russian history—including the Russian chapters regarding Josip Broz Tito and his cronies, plus those early pro-Russian communist phases in America, and so on. 🍿

For example

YouTube is currently playing some Thievery...

edit: After watching Braveheart on TV yesterday, I ended up on Wikipedia reading about British history and that eternal alliance between Scottish husbands and the French kingdom against a common enemy🤦 😁 and, naturally, the Hundred Years' War and stuff like that. 🤦
Wikipedia is pure evil; it’s just a gateway for obsessive people to stay up all night reading nonsense. 😁

I’m already pretty well-versed in the whole saga leading up to Stalin and Beria—you know, all that business with the proletariat, Lenin, and the absolute mess unfolding in Russia during WWI.

But once you actually start digging, man, it’s just an endless avalanche of data.

Throw in some porn and music, and you really start seeing one of the true beauties of the internet 😁

Cohen is all about those lyrics, really.
What I love about this cover is how it really highlights the exact part of the songwriting that hits you right in the gut:
Everybody Knows

Everybody Knows

Honestly, I don't really feel that sting from this one.
For instance, if he were to stand on stage at a concert and explain how a close friend once cheated him out of his songwriting credits—and why that betrayal actually makes the music better 😁, you'd realize that nothing he sings is just idle humming, and that his specific brand of melancholic cynicism is something nobody else can quite capture quite like he does... and, I don't know, I find that relatable.

everybody knows

Honestly, Steven Van Zandt is basically Silvio Dante, and there’s a damn good reason he’s the consigliere.

But then again, you don't just become The Boss by accident. ))

uhhhh, Jamie Davis9... 😍 that whole The River tour back in the eighties was legendary,
but honestly, this live version of the song might actually be his absolute peak.

man, it just won't stop raining out here:

see the sky about to rain

(or maybe... be the rain)

Exactly! )) though I think you were actually out seeing Radiohead live, weren't you?

Personally, I find it absolutely wonderful.
