All those cheap budget options are nothing more than a complete scam. A buddy of mine picked up some low-end smartphone from one of those discount shops over at the mall.
On paper, the specs look decent enough—it’s got a 5-megapixel camera which, I guess, is fine for a bottom-tier device, and so on and so forth.
But honestly, once you actually hold the thing, it feels like you're gripping a cheap bathroom tile. The edges are rough, the design is an absolute joke, everything runs incredibly sluggishly, and the battery life is a total disaster—one minute it says 30%, then it just dies completely...
And don't even get me started on calls. You have to crank the volume to the max and find the quietest room in the house just to hear the person on the other end clearly.
Thanks, but no thanks... $300I have zero interest in paying for garbage.
You're much better off dropping a few extra bucks now so you aren't dealing with this headache for the next couple of years.
