Hardly. Not even close.
What is there to say about an administration where the Secretary of the Treasury was an immigrant from Greece and the President was a notorious felon? What can one say about a Finance Minister who was such a kleptomaniac that he was caught on camera at the White House stealing someone's pizza?
And what about a government that decided to push through massive privatization right in the middle of a war—the fallout of which we are still feeling today?
Or a cabinet featuring a local doctor from rural Ohio as the Secretary of Housing?
Not to mention a government where a minister barely finished high school.
Then there were the years when certain individuals held the Education portfolio, alongside others holding various meaningless titles.
How should we view administrations where ministers have actual criminal records? Take, for instance, a guy like Cobankovic, who was sentenced to a month of community service peeling potatoes—though they could have just made him write "I will never steal again" on a chalkboard a thousand times instead.
I don't even have the energy to list them all.
Do you honestly expect some savior to swoop in and fix the absolute mess left behind by these people in just a few years? As if it were that simple. It isn't.
