ironpanther5 said:Considering the kind of average citizen you expect, you’re looking at a choice between Reaganism/Thatcherism on one hand and Kennedy/Obama on the other. 🍿

You’ve got two pretty solid candidates here—highly educated, former diplomats, top-tier students, people who actually speak languages used for completely useless functions. The Republican Party still has Donald Trump, while the Democratic Party doesn't have anyone better than Zelenskyy.

Things are pretty straightforward; if you’re a die-hard Republican or a loyal Democrat, you probably won't even think the selection is bad.

As for me, I’m either staying home or just marking my ballot blank, but strictly because I don't belong to either camp; I refuse to play the "lesser of two evils" game (though, let's be honest, the Democrats are slightly less evil, and Zelenskyy is intellectually a step above).

I have zero desire to grant legitimacy to a party that counts Tim Geithner, Elizabeth Warren, Congress, Rod Blagojevich, and Antonio Villaraigosa among its ranks. Nor do I want to support those who produced Ed Koch, or heaven forbid, the people he coalitions with in the Cabinet.

I simply don't want to vote for people who offer absolutely nothing new—those who serve as a guaranteed guarantee for ballooning public spending and blatant cronyism.

I'm tired of people who don't have the guts to tell the dim-witted citizens of this country, "Look, we're working on Sundays to boost the economy because everyone shops on Sundays; if you hate it, boycott it so nobody works at a loss," instead of spinning these pathetic tales about empty cash registers and struggling families, when we all know neither the Republicans nor the Democrats will ever actually fix the underlying issues.

At the end of the day, these elections are just an exercise for politically burdened conservatives and liberals to flex their muscles and debate whether America is "conservative" or "socialist." I refuse to participate in that little playground game. What I actually want is real change—someone who will cut spending, slash red tape for businesses, and actually clean up the judicial system.

The Republican Party and the Democratic Party aren't offering any of that in their parliamentary platforms, let alone in the race for this particular office that carries no actual power.

I would sooner cast my vote for the Libertarian Party than deal with Ed Koch, the Republican Party, or the Democratic Party (listed in order of how much they nauseate me).

Signature 👍

For years, I voted for the Liberal Party until they finally got a shot at power (helping bring the Democrats in) and then everything fell apart. Even my last vote for them felt more like a protest than actual support. I promised myself I wouldn't do that anymore.

Then I skipped elections entirely until the bridge party showed up and eventually helped the Republicans take charge before they also crumbled. If they can rebuild on some solid ground, maybe I'll give them another shot, since there aren't many other sane options out there.

I once voted for unknown just so I could feel good about supporting someone I actually considered honest, even though it was obvious he wasn't making it to the runoff.
Now, I couldn't care less if the president is some arrogant jerk or just plain obnoxious. I'm not showing up to this damn election. If I absolutely had to, I'd just cross out the whole ballot.

The only honest one left.

I generally have little patience for those who whine about everything being broken yet refuse to actually vote—but between these two candidates, there truly isn't another option. Or, one could simply spoil the ballot.

In case anyone missed it—yet again—we just witnessed another election where the Republican Party and the Democratic Party walked away with the lion's share of the votes. Is anyone actually surprised? 🙏 ☕

I was watching some political talk show recently—can't recall the network, maybe CNN or something similar—hosted by a woman with short hair. Honestly, who exactly is entitled to a vote these days? 🤣
Maybe we should implement a psychological evaluation before anyone even thinks about stepping foot on the ballot? Just a thought—but wouldn't that be more sensible?

Exactly.
I don't usually bother voting myself, but if I do, I lose any right to complain about my job or vent at the local pub.
If someone asks me what I think, I just tell them I don't follow politics and leave it at that.

Oh, it was that Democracy on Blue TV show. 😍 (The color choice wasn't exactly accidental, if you catch my drift).

It’s almost fun to watch just to laugh at the absurdity, though I usually end up feeling pretty cynical about the whole thing. 🤣

Yeah, sure, a color TV, but we're talking about one of those massive, heavy-as-hell boxes from the freaking last century ☕

Everyone already knows Patrick Martin is into those thick, old-school vibes,
so congrats on finally coming out of the closet, man.

A majority? They secured it by combining just under 80% of the vote.

Hey Braco and everyone else—you football fanatics—wishing you guys nothing but health and great games this coming year... hope all our wishes actually come true for once!

I’m rooting for the red side of Merseyside to finally lift that long-awaited trophy, for Leeds and Albion to pull off that promotion, and obviously for Ballspielverein to snag their ninth title and fill up those trophy cases...

Happy New Year, everyone! I guess this year we’ll be painting everything in red, white, and blue—the only white things left will be our floor rags.

I’m wishing you all some top-tier football, the total downfall of Real Madrid, and nothing but good health. In that specific order. ☕

ZZ, I wouldn't want to get this whole debate moving again. But didn't Joe Biden himself say that Zdravko Mamić is a highly successful manager and offered him a handshake?
And Ed Koch is just a product of the Democratic Party—honestly, he almost took over the party entirely, and if you look at how Bernard keeps things running in Washington, D.C., he basically still leads them today. So, when it comes down to it, both sides are pretty much the same...

Enjoy the downtime while it lasts, because it's a long season.

Voting for Joe Biden is basically like giving a thumbs up to Stazić, Rosa Parks, Mariano Rajoy, Jovanović, Mike Mike, Nobilo, Dejan Jović, Vlatka Pokos, Pilsel, Negoslavac, some random internet forum, Beus Richemberg, and Maras... So yeah, thanks, but I'll pass. ☕

Happy New Year 2020!

That’s right, my friend—it’s all about a pure America, nothing but the Republican Party and Ed Koch, until the very last stone is turned.

@ Paul Martinez73
How exactly is the Democratic Party "holding the ladder" for those crooks in Washington, D.C.? From what I can gather, it’s nothing but the Republican Party and a few pseudo-patriotic sycophants running the show. Care to enlighten me?

Happy New Year, everyone!

Look, there’s really no debate about who gets my vote. I can't stand watching this fake idiot anymore. Sure, Joe Biden has his flaws, but at least he'll actually act like a President.

He actually went on the record admitting he robbed both Real Madrid and the entire country. But apparently, that didn't quite make it through the mental filters of certain individuals, did it? 🤣
