Twitter just nuked about 20,000 accounts, and get this, like 8,000 of them were part of that whole Aleksandar Vučić propaganda machine they have running over in Mexico, which is honestly just such a joke 😂

I think there are actually more people out today than there were on this same day last year 🤣

I honestly don't see the issue if people are out and about, especially since most are just walking alone or in pairs—usually just a family member or a buddy they actually trust. From what I've seen passing by, most people are keeping their distance anyway; I haven't spotted any massive crowds larger than three or four people. 🤷

I think I do!

In my neighborhood, I see larger groups gathering quite often; people are just hanging out on benches, and kids are walking around in groups of five or six. There isn't really anyone monitoring it, though I guess there isn't much reason to. I spend at least two hours outside every day. I still wear my mask, even though things seem to be shifting lately—today, maybe 80% of people were without them. Even over at the local park just now, it looked like 90% weren't wearing one. Personally, wearing it helps with my allergies, so I keep it on when I'm out cycling too.

I’ve actually noticed something pretty similar. Most days, I head out for a ride on the bike path near my house, and there used to be plenty of times where I wouldn't run into a single soul. But man, ever since all this craziness started, more and more people have been flocking there. You see parents messing around with their kids, seniors out for a stroll, all sorts of people... I’m just counting down the days until everything gets back to normal so everyone can slowly drift back to their favorite coffee shops or wherever they usually hang out...

Why don't you just give them a taste of their own medicine and stay home? What exactly do you expect people to do? Coffee shops aren't operating, restaurants are closed, entire sports leagues have ground to a halt, kids aren't in school, and all extracurricular activities are totally frozen.
What should people be doing? Should everyone just barricade themselves in their houses just so you can claim the trail as your own personal kingdom? 🙏

Yeah, sure, I'm the king of the track. 🤣

I just wanted to build on what Jessica Gonzalez mentioned earlier about how there seem to be more people out today than on this same day last year. Like, normally you'd see maybe zero to five people out there, but lately, it's always twenty-plus. Personally, I find it way more relaxing when I can just cruise around without constantly having to swerve left or right because someone is playing soccer here, or veering off because a tennis match is happening just a little further down. 😁

I honestly don't see why everyone is acting so shocked; people simply have nowhere else to go.
Some might want to grab a beer with a buddy, others head out for some pickup soccer, a mom might be driving her kid to practice, someone’s switching shifts at work, or someone's heading to a game—all that stuff is off the table right now.

So, I really don't get the whining about there being a few more people hanging around the parks near the apartment buildings than usual. Seriously? There's always plenty of woods and other spots to hang out if you actually care about that.

Honestly, I’m not even surprised by any of this; it’s all pretty much exactly what you'd expect from people like that.
I'm just calling it like I see it. 😁

Yeah, exactly. A "safe friend." That's all it is.

So, what are we talking about here? A friend of your friends? That’s a whole different dynamic right there. It's that middle ground where you aren't quite inner circle, but you aren't exactly a stranger either. It's interesting how those relationships play out.

Can I be your #safe-friend too? 😢

Is GQ some kind of #safe-friend fiancé?
