Man, I'll give 'em three cheers—actually, make it two, since one's already gone

Thanks, buddy. I guess I might be listening back with a bit of a tear in my eye, but I'm just happy you guys are behind me.

Did you marry Triput or something? 😲
It's pretty clear that Canada has messed with your head...

Everyone was forced to stay indoors for four straight weeks unless they were performing essential services, like healthcare, grabbing groceries, or getting some exercise close to home.

Then you had the critics attacking her pandemic response, while the police were busy clearing people out of public spaces. To top it all off, the Secretary of Health got caught cycling along the beach with his family, and Ardern basically said she’d sign his resignation if it didn't mess with the crisis management.

As if New Zealand is somehow smarter than us... I mean, seriously? They're kicking people off public streets, yet you aren't even allowed to go for a bike ride with your family.

Man, that’s just straight-up trash. Honestly, you could say that.

On another note, I was actually visiting New Zealand recently. It’s quite populated with Chinese immigrants, and it’s somewhat surprising how quickly things shifted there. About 15 days ago, they only had two reported cases, but just three days ago, that number jumped to exactly 1,036. My brother lives over there, and he’s the one giving me these updates. It seems like everyone is under quarantine, with only essential workers staying active.

New Zealand is seeing a spike — Michael Flores8.

I mean, look, messing up once? Totally fine, we've all been there, but doing it three times in a row is just asking for trouble🙄

I mean, you gotta give an example of what NOT to do, right? But honestly, everything turned out fine in the end. The only thing is that the oldest guy is still obsessing over Real Madrid like a total maniac.

I mean, honestly, what more could you even ask for in life than having your kid rooting for Real Madrid?

Last week they were all bragging about how low the mortality rate was, and now look—they just opened up a new assisted living facility in Miami. All ten of the positive cases are already on ventilators, and honestly, who knows how many more people are going to test positive soon. This whole thing is unfortunately headed straight for a total disaster.

According to San Diego, nobody is on a ventilator yet.

It’s finally starting to hit now that the weather has warmed up. People are absolutely everywhere. The streets are packed. You barely see anyone wearing a mask anymore. Everyone is just lounging on the grass, riding bikes in big groups, or hanging out in little packs of four with their dogs. You'll see groups of five chilling in the parks, parents sitting on benches with their kids, and just total life happening all over town.

There is little point in making a scene when there is no one left to blame—though, I suppose, the younger generation remains blissfully untouched by it all...

Well, we shall see soon enough... though at this rate, it's more likely we won't see anything at all ☕

And that right there is the core of everything I've been saying for weeks, yet Tijs keeps calling me out—maybe he just doesn't get it...

Because think about it: someone working at that facility goes for a quick walk with a friend who doesn't even know they're positive, passes the virus along, that person comes into work and infects 40 seniors, and then five of them die.

Some people will just shrug and say, "They were old and sick anyway, they would have died regardless," but through sheer negligence and that kind of mindset, you might have actually robbed someone of two extra years of life.

I have a buddy whose whole vibe is just like wiredrider9: "It's no big deal, this virus isn't dangerous, it'll wreck the economy if we don't keep everyone working, the Swedish approach is best, or maybe the Belarusian way." Meanwhile, the guy won't leave his house for two weeks and wears gloves just to go to the grocery store.

I know a guy who tested positive, and I offered a friend to go visit him, bring him groceries, hang out for a bit, and all I got was silence. Total nothingness. I honestly don't get it; you catch a little flu, recover at home, and move on with your life... you can do whatever you want after that, so why act like it's such a massive deal?

Look, I’ll make you an offer. Tell me what city you're in and drop your number; I'll find someone local who needs looking after and happens to be contagious. You just drop off some groceries and chat with them for a bit. Honestly, I'll even pay you out of my own pocket for the trouble.

I am not entirely certain, though I believe there are strict protocols against any direct contact with infected individuals—much like how he is prohibited from having contact with anyone else
