Jessica Gonzalez said:I guess he really was a bench player, at least in how people perceived him, and he seemed pretty comfortable in that role. It probably opens up another big debate about whether it’s better to be the sixth man for the Bulls or the leading scorer for the Nets. Either way, I think one of them was clearly more aggressive and hungry for the win—a true athlete. Maybe that's why fans tend to love and remember him more.

But Tony wasn't your run-of-the-mill bench warmer like Steve Kerr, who barely ever even started a game for the Bulls. Just look at his stats—check the number of games he started during the regular season and the playoffs, then look at his average minutes. His career average with the Bulls was 30 minutes per game. A bench player? Yeah, right. Hardly.

I watched the interviews with pilots who verified the footage was real and shared their take on what they saw—or rather, what shouldn't have been there. It’s fascinating how this stays mostly under the radar, especially since the Department of Defense doesn't just confirm these things, they actually release official UFO videos. But then again, who knows...

Seriously, this is freaking weird

It feels like there's a new leak every other week, but like you mentioned, it all happens so quietly in the shadows. Honestly, from the mid-90s—back when everyone was obsessed because of *The X-Files*—to right now, there was such a massive lull in coverage, and then suddenly, in just the last few years, the floodgates have started to open again.

I remember reading about a guy who posted one of those exact clips on a UFO enthusiast forum about ten years ago—the mods actually banned him because they thought he was just some troll! Then, fast forward a bit, and the Pentagon releases the exact same video. Talk about a plot twist! 🤣

Matthew Young35 said:I’ve been rewatching the tapes from both of them, and honestly? Drazen was playing on an entirely different plane.
Respect to Toni Kukoč and Vlade Divac, of course, but Drazen was simply a class above the rest.
I’m talking about his prime years playing over in Europe; I didn't follow the NBA quite as closely back then.

It’s the same story with the club level: the Los Angeles Lakers of that era were leagues ahead of a team like Split.
The Split squad mostly earned their legendary status because they played the role of the underdog—it was all heart, grit, and pure defiance. But the LA teams? They were the heavy favorites every single time they took the title, primarily because they had Drazen.

If there is any regret, it’s just that he was one of the first major European stars to jump to the NBA during that transition, and he ended up on a much tougher roster than Kukoč did.

As for debating who won more trophies in team sports, I find the whole argument pointless. Look at someone like Ashley Young—he’s collected more silverware than Gary Lineker or Francesco Totti ever did. Even in individual sports, look at the chess legends: Emanuel Lasker held the world title for twenty-seven years, while Bobby Fischer held it for two.

I watched them too, but it isn't really about 😁 Especially regarding talent levels, even just looking at their overseas careers. I actually think if Drazen had lived long enough to join the Knicks, like people speculated, he might have reached an even higher career peak in the NBA than Kukoc... but that's probably just due to the circumstances Kukoc had with the Bulls. Regarding raw talent, Susan Kim2 explained it well in terms of how players would enter the league today. And to add to that, Kukoc had a solid three-pointer. In Bormio, for instance, he was hitting 11 out of 12 shots against Americans.

A few days ago, Federer made a point regarding tennis that applies just as much to soccer: even if you play behind closed doors without a crowd, teams still have to travel—meaning long flights that involve interaction with airport staff and flight attendants.
Then there is the matter of staying in hotels, which inevitably leads to contact with bellhops, servers, and general hospitality staff.
Furthermore, whenever a match is scheduled, someone has to prep the venue—mowing the grass, managing irrigation, cleaning, setting up lighting... television crews have to haul in cameras, microphones, and miles of cabling...
There is simply too much unavoidable social contact...🤷

Weren't they the favorites after the first win? What about the second? 🕺

Drazen was really just nursing a bit of an ego bruise. He wanted to be recognized as one of the true pioneers from overseas during that era, especially since he ended up with the Lakers while Kukoc went to the Warriors. Does it really matter which jersey you wear when you're making history?

He joined a squad that had just played in a massive championship final, only to find themselves in the Conference Finals the following season. Sure, they took a step back, but how big was that drop? Honestly, I’m not entirely sure how much the talent level actually shifted. If anything, maybe it was a disadvantage for Drazen to move to a group like that, especially since he struggled to carve out meaningful minutes alongside guys like Drexler, Porter, and Ainge.

Who cares about team trophy counts? It’s a meaningless metric. You have guys like Ashley Young who have more hardware than legends like Gary Lineker or Francesco Totti ever dreamed of. Even in individual sports, the numbers don't tell the whole story. Look at Emanuel Lasker holding the world chess title for 27 years versus Bobby Fischer's two. Does the math actually mean anything?

Your argument might actually hold water if Kiki hadn't been a three-time EuroLeague MVP and the undisputed leader for that legendary powerhouse national team back in the day. Is it really that hard to believe?

Not even close.
By their third attempt, the club was facing a massive financial meltdown—so bad they actually had to change their name, and everyone expected half the roster to jump ship.
They were absolute underdogs that time. Well, maybe not total outsiders, but certainly not the favorites.

Your argument might hold water if Dražen wasn't a three-time EuroLeague MVP and the standout performer in two international tournaments alongside the absolute elite of basketball at the time.

Dražen remains one of the top three players America has ever produced.
That isn't up for debate.
But even back then, there was never any question about who the undisputed leader of the US national team was. Doesn't that say something?

Alright.

Kukoc is one of the three best players America has ever produced.
There's no debating that.
But back when he played, everyone in the American national team knew exactly who the leader was. That says something, too.

Did we suddenly switch to analyzing Ashley Young's leadership style? You're conveniently ignoring two championships with a powerhouse US squad and three MVP awards. But sure.
Since we're talking about the US, do you realize who Jordan and Pippen—two of the top three defenders in the world at the time—were targeting during the Olympics?
It seems like you're painting the American team and Dražen as a one-man show, which is miles away from the truth.

There are certain sporting milestones that remain etched in the soul—those unforgettable moments like the '94 World Cup final right here in the States, or the classic clashes between Brazil and Italy. There is something profoundly moving, almost surreal, about watching players finally collapse into each other, kissing the trophy after years of sacrifice. Back then, I honestly felt like any moment, a heavy-handed referee might swoop in and ruin the magic. 🤦

It was truly wonderful to take a brief, nostalgic trip down memory lane to revisit that first tournament we all followed with such genuine intensity.

It’s either going to be massive tax cuts or selling off the islands, period. There isn't some middle ground here.

The guy talks about handing out incentives to entrepreneurs and slashing government spending, but he conveniently forgets to mention where the money is actually coming from... man, it must be so easy being in the opposition and just talking trash all day. 🙏🙏🙏

First we had the influence of guys like Jack Welch, and now the Democrats have found their new economic heavyweight in Tica. 🙏🙏🙏

Personally, I'm more curious about what kind of universities are churning out these absolute morons. As far as I know, the dude is some professor at a college somewhere, right? 🤦

Maybe Dre harder than Pippen as a leader, but being a leader doesn't always mean you're the better player.

And there's a good reason for that—UPenn is easily the best school for economics out there. ☕

Generally speaking, almost every game Drazen played in Europe or for his national team turned into a one-man show.

The situation involving Jordan and Pippen had entirely different motivations—none of them related to pure talent.
Besides, for that specific roster, the Olympics was little more than an easy practice session or an exhibition tournament.

That’s exactly what I’m asking 🙄

Honestly, why even pay attention to people who don't actually have any decision-making power? I guess this link about aliens might be more interesting. Though, it could probably just be clickbait designed to give everyone something to argue about. UFO stories haven't really moved forward in decades, either. I suppose until the Secretary of Defense holds a press conference to tell us something official, it's all just fake news. #stayhome

Seriously, what are you even talking about?
So, you're suggesting that because the old powerhouse roster featured legends like Dražen, Divac, and Kukoc—who basically swept World and Euro MVP honors—it was all just a one-man show for Dražen? Or are you saying the US squad with guys like Robinson, Barkley, and Drexler was just Dražen's solo performance?
Even if it's just trolling, it's still pretty low.
