Russia had fired 625 missiles into Ukraine since their invasion began. For perspective, Israel fired the same amount of missiles during their 2014 assault on a single neighborhood in Gaza 🙏

Just let it go and move on.

And what exactly is your point in sharing this data?

They call themselves the IDF, so apparently everything is perfectly fine—people are obviously just defending themselves ☕

It’s a bit like when my little boy "taps" me a hundred times a day; it feels about the same as taking a punch from an MMA heavyweight.😁

I’ve always had a soft spot for trivia that refuses to categorize things properly and just lumps everything together into one big pile.

Man, this is just how things are nowadays—the internet is absolutely flooded with data like this. You run into stuff like it every single day:

The first player under 21 years and 243 days old to rack up 5,000 rebounds, 350 blocks, and 570 assists, all while shooting less than 4.5 three-pointers per game, and his team maintaining a winning record over the last 46 games with at least 110 points scored per matchup.

Just look at an NBA subreddit thread—they’re packed with stats like this.

None of us would be able to restrain ourselves if we were witnessing a horror like this.
That image has been stuck in my head all afternoon... that helpless look on the father's face as he holds his baby, while another child lies next to them, and the pure despair in the mother's eyes behind them...
I don't know what kind of monster is responsible for this, but I wish them nothing but the worst.

Even back when I was watching ESPN's *SportsCenter*, I found the whole thing increasingly grating.
They’ll play a highlight reel while simultaneously flashing these utterly meaningless statistics across the screen—exactly like the example you provided—and then have the pundits in the studio dissecting stats and trending tweets. It is quite clearly just an additional tactic to capture your attention, yet in reality, it serves only to exhaust the viewer through sheer information bombardment.

It is sports, after all, so perhaps it hardly matters, but I still struggle to grasp the actual point of such a statistic or what one is supposed to derive from it.

There was a day when I felt quite strongly that NATO should just level half of Russia and be done with it, honestly... It’s most difficult when you're faced with that profound sense of powerlessness, wondering what can even be done...

And then you come here, or God forbid, follow the news, and end up having a total nervous breakdown because you have to read the comments from a few idiots...

What kind of dictator is this, and just how deep do those complexes run? It’s truly unsettling...

If anyone else is following this documentary, I’ve honestly already lost sight of Boris Nemcov

In my opinion, anyone trying to defend or justify this aggression doesn't have half a functional brain—honestly, they're just trolls playing on people's emotions

Jose Lopez2 The user states:
Not one soul among us would be able to maintain their composure while enduring such a horror.
That image has been haunting my mind all afternoon. It’s that look of utter helplessness in the father's eyes as he clutches his baby, while another child lies right beside them, and the sheer, raw despair etched onto the mother's face behind them.
I have no idea what kind of monster is responsible for this, but I truly wish nothing but the absolute worst for them.

I am completely consumed by everything happening in Ukraine. Lately, however, a series of personal issues have forced me to redirect my focus and energy elsewhere, though I still monitor the developments as closely as I can. The footage coming out of that hospital is absolutely soul-crushing. There is clear video evidence, yet you have to sit there and watch Lavrov spewing blatant lies to the cameras, claiming that Azov forces occupied the hospital and forced the children and staff out. It is sickening how much disinformation is being pushed just to justify the sheer barbarism of the occupiers. Watching these scenes from Ukraine takes such a heavy toll on me that I’ve actually tried to talk a friend into joining me to sign up, only for him to snap at me, calling me crazy and telling me I'll just end up dead. If I possessed any actual military training or expertise, I would enlist in a heartbeat. I don't fear death itself; my primary hesitation is simply the reality that I would likely die instantly because this is serious combat. That is why most of those heading over there are the ones with prior military experience. This nation is enduring unimaginable suffering. The images of children and the elderly are particularly devastating. Meanwhile, the Russian aggressors are attempting to manipulate people's sentiments to pull them to their side, even parading around with Soviet Union flags draped over their tanks.

Paul Sanders5 As stated by:
Report them. Or just pay someone to go pay them a visit. The possibilities are endless.

Honestly, I’m completely broke. If I could, I’d just go over there and burn the whole place down myself, but obviously, those kinds of extreme measures aren't exactly on the table.

shadowcobra89 said:It is sheer foolishness to bury one's head in the sand, as such avoidance serves no one in any capacity whatsoever...

I wouldn't dwell on it too much personally, though I would certainly report them to whoever is capable of taking action, if only out of a sense of social responsibility toward someone who might find themselves in this exact situation down the road. If everyone handled these types of incidents with even a modicum of integrity, we would see far fewer occurrences...

Just leave out the old-fashioned commentary about under-the-table cash, because we aren't living in the 90s anymore...

You are absolutely right here. It’s just that I am still struggling with the idea of walking away from a lifelong friendship, even though my friend wasn't being entirely honest with me. It all stems from the influence of his associates.

Larry Fox5 said:Look, if you actually want to make it in the business world, you’ve gotta get a grip on your emotions—don't just let them run wild. Honestly, there's zero point in reporting everything, and you might just end up making life harder for yourself. Say you file a complaint or start whining... suddenly you're stuck dealing with some witness or getting dragged through endless court hearings, all while painting a target on your own back.
What's the actual value in all that? None. You're just being a liability.

The whole trick is to learn from the mess, make sure it doesn't happen again, and manage your professional relationships better so you don't find yourself in this spot to begin with.

Just some friendly advice. 😉

This is currently my preferred perspective. I would offer one additional piece of counsel: when matters involve business, never grant even a friend your absolute trust.

Crow89 said:This sounds like a situation where I could step in. I am at your disposal.

It seems more like a matter for a federal agency and their inspectors.

Nancy Sanchez31 said:Let's go with the old Bijes. Honestly, screw them. ☕

That initial impulse is always there. However, I force myself to pause and weigh the consequences and how long this entire headache will persist. Then there is the issue of friendship. I could easily fix my health insurance tomorrow; I could call another friend and ask them to report me for just one day so I can exercise my rights. Doing that would be driven purely by a desire for revenge. That is how I used to react. Now, I strive to be a better person who can overcome these negative impulses and feelings.

boldbadger1 said:It’s honestly kind of hilarious—you spend all this energy fighting against the local thugs and battling systemic corruption, and then you actually pause to wonder if you should report those same thugs to some government inspectorate? It’s a bit of a contradiction, isn't it? 🤔

Look, you've got a crow acting like an inspector here—just take it to the DMs and settle it quietly, for goodness' sake. Let's just keep things civil and maintain a decent community for the rest of us.

Yes, I realize I am being hypocritical. I love condemning wrongdoing, yet here I am wavering because my friend's reputation is on the line. I honestly don't know how deeply involved he is in their mess.

loneseal said:I say go for the throat. Just make sure you don't end up digging your own grave in the process.

Look, my hands are clean. I have absolutely nothing to fear for myself.

rapidstag2 said:What a plot twist; turns out Crow is actually a cop... 🙂

That was my exact thought after reading this.🤣 🤣

We spent all this time attacking poor Matthew Collins20, labeling him a narc.🤣

But clearly he isn't one. He’s likely just some high-ranking inspector working for one of the federal agencies.

Why? Can you come up with something better than a cheap insult? Try harder—you're supposed to be a moderator, not someone constantly reminding us that you're complete mental trash.

It’s simply because you didn't bother reading the very first page of the thread!

If I were the one in charge, you'd be facing a permanent ban...

If I had slapped you, you’d be nursing a bruised cheek right now. How many times have I explicitly stated that there is zero excuse for any kind of aggression? Why is it suddenly against the rules to point out hypocrisy and draw those comparisons? Where exactly does that violate the topic guidelines? Seriously, try learning how to quote properly before you start lecturing people who mastered that back in middle school.
