Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is happening this year. Now I just hope they don't ruin everything by booking bands that sound like Iggy Pop...

Susan Clark10 said:I think Placebo is getting pretty close to landing here—they’ve already booked a slot at that new rock weekend coming up. Plus, Art Brut is touring around that same time, too.

Oops, I nailed it! 😁

I'm definitely keeping an eye on Guano Apes now that they've been confirmed for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. 😁

Lamb of God is playing the metal stage! 😁)

If you had just picked a better band 😁 honestly, Guano Apes could just skip us entirely 😬 I don't see any reason to stick around just to catch Lamb of God as a bonus 🙂

(plus Lamb of God for the metal stage 😁)

Go ahead and guess Placebo while you're at it 🙂

But don't bother guessing for Guano Apes.

Yeah, those Gaslight Anthem guys also proved today that they're still killing it with that new rock 🙂

That could work! If she just sets up a private tent, people will probably line up outside regardless.
The only requirement is that she stays quiet! At any cost.

Susan Clark10 said:Oh yeah, and those guys you love, The Gaslight Anthem, just confirmed they're playing Lollapalooza today too🙂

Man, if they actually show up... holy crap. Seriously, if they're coming, I am grabbing a ticket immediately. Like, right now. How much are tickets even gonna be??!!!

Why does it even matter who confirmed Lollapalooza and who didn't?

The only festivals in June that have all three Coachella headliners (Franz Ferdinand, Kraftwerk, and Moby) on the bill are Lollapalooza and Southside, and both have almost identical line-ups. So, if one were actually going to venture a guess based on that logic, I guess it's easiest to just look at their line-up and hope for the best—or dread it, depending on what you're into.

Current Lollapalooza line-up:
Franz Ferdinand, Moby, Kings of Leon, Disturbed, Editors, Ben Harper, Nick Cave and The bad Seeds, The Ting Tings, Katy Perry, Kraftwerk, The Sounds, die Ärzte, Gogol Bordello, The Wombats, Ska-P, Fettes Brot, Blood Red Shoes, The Whip, Clueso, Culcha Candela, Johnossi, Tomte, Eskimo Joe, Dendemann, get Well Soon, Nneka, The Gaslight Anthem, karamela santa and The Asteroids Galaxy tour.

Alright, fingers crossed for Kejva, and I guess we're crossing our fingers for those anonymous German rappers too. Honestly, I don't see Gogol Bordello hitting the US again anytime soon. I'm voting for Kings of Leon, Editors, The Sounds, Blood Red Shoes—sure, maybe even The Wombats. Just please, anything but The Ting Tings and we're golden.

The Gaslight Anthem 🙂
I honestly can't even bring myself to write this—it's just so hard to stay optimistic after what happened at the Scena stage... 😢

I guess I could go for Editors too, but as for the rest? Either I haven't given them a fair shake or they just aren't really my vibe. Maybe I'd give Blood Red Shoes a listen though...

Honestly, everything they've announced for Lollapalooza so far—aside from Moby, obviously—is pretty much the only thing worth showing up for...🙏

Personally, I’m pretty much set with The Killers and Frank Sinatra—plus maybe a bit of Ferdinand Magellan. Everything else on the list is a definite yes from me. 😁

Nothing is ever settled quite right, and frankly, I’m not looking forward to any of these "opportunities"...😬

Just bring out Motorhead 😢

Students who show a valid Index card or a university certificate (containing their SSN) can grab one ticket at a special price of $83 — this deal lasts for a month once sales kick off. There's a limit on how many tickets are available.
The student pass covers both days of Lollapalooza. This discount is open to full-time and part-time students, and it applies to everyone—even students coming from outside the US.

They include part-timers too. But part-timers don't have any extra cash 🙂 so what are they supposed to do?

kraftwerk 👋 and maybe FF again..

brisklynx51 said:Even the top students have them. And part-timers have them too, 🙂 so what's the big deal?

Kraftwerk 👋 and maybe Franz Ferdinand could play again..

They just need your Social Security number (that's what they put in the system when you buy a ticket). For undergrads, it’s on their student ID, and for older students, it's on their campus card. Even part-time students have IDs—the only difference I know is they don't get subsidized meal plans at the dining hall, but that's a whole different conversation...
