I've reached the thirty percent mark on this build, and honestly, I feel like my motivation has completely evaporated.
It feels as though I’ve exhausted my entire reservoir of patience just trying to get through this stage.
It’s quite frustrating because I’ve already invested so much effort into the custom acrylic panels, the cable management, the precision-cut side panels, and even the cooling setup and neon lighting.

Hey everyone, listen up...
I'm working on an LED strip setup and I need to grab some clear tubing so I can house the lights inside...
I'm just not sure if I should go with the 5mm or the 8mm diameter...
Anyone able to help me out here...

Hey guys, quick question—does anyone know where I can actually pick up those mesh filters? You know, the ones people put over power supplies and stuff to keep the dust out. I was scrolling through some forum the other day and saw this guy post a photo showing he had a $3.25 that was 120mm, which is exactly what I’m looking for. I see people online with all kinds of crazy custom setups, and honestly, it's making me feel a bit lost because I've been hitting up the local Best Buys and Micro Centers, but they don't seem to carry them. Any leads on where to find this stuff would be huge. Thanks in advance!

Seriously, is anyone even checking this place anymore? It’s been like a week since I've seen any decent activity...

Either people just don't get it, or they aren't really paying attention...
I'm not so sure myself.

Not sure I follow the question.

Dust filters or DIY grill mods?

You can grab dust filters at any tech shop like Best Buy, but if you want those custom grills, just hack 'em out of some old power supplies or pick up something slick from a PC Modding shop

My bad—didn't even realize there was a second page, so I ended up posting that message before seeing this one. Thanks!

Hey fellow modders, just a quick heads-up.
The long-standing PC Modding guide from the PCExpert forums has been rebranded and reformatted over on the TechHub portal:

Can someone help me out here? I've got a Sharkoon T28 Green Edition case. I'm looking to cut an extra hole in the plexiglass to fit another 120mm green fan. What should I use to cut through the plexi?

A jigsaw blade. And make sure the teeth are fine enough so it doesn't just tear through the material instead of cutting it.

I honestly thought the overclocking community was a ghost town... where have all the PC Modding enthusiasts gone?

Just wanted to share that I spent yesterday working on a plexiglass panel. I needed a side vent because my Twin Frozr GPU blows hot air inside the case instead of out. I tried using a jigsaw for the cut, and let me tell you, it’s a total nightmare; the plastic melts and you have to stop every couple of inches.

For long, straight cuts, use a circular saw with the blade reversed so it scrapes rather than tears. Watch your speed, though, or the edges will chip.

For curves, a router or a handheld router is the way to go. It's incredibly effective. I cut through a sheet of plexiglass perfectly smooth without any issues.

Here it is: http://i43.tinypic.com/2z5t6s7.jpg

Anyway... just thought I'd share in case anyone needs the tip.

So, I just noticed the top of my case is running pretty hot. I’m thinking about cutting out some space for fans—maybe two 120mm ones, or possibly three. What’s the best tool for the job? Could I get away with using a grinder to cut the opening? For the mesh, I was planning on hitting up Home Depot to grab a pre-made metal grill, spray it black, and then mount the fans onto it. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't suggest using an angle grinder. You're better off with a jigsaw, provided you use a metal-cutting blade. That's how I handled it. It’s much more precise, and you won't have to worry about the grinder slipping and ruining the finish. Honestly, getting a clean finish at the end of a cut with an angle grinder is a real struggle. Just take your time; there's no rush. That's my process.

Are these the kind of grilles you're looking for?

Well, whatever works for you. It can look great depending on how it's done.

Just a heads-up, if you're working on a case (not just a webpage), I’d strip everything out before you start cutting. Metal shavings are a total nightmare...
