Just take a look at a company like Pfizer. They've been dragged through so many lawsuits over the years—I honestly couldn't tell you how many they won versus how many they lost—but there's no denying they are a massive titan in the pharmaceutical industry. I happen to be taking Xanax myself, and the packaging says Pfizer, but when I try looking up the original Xanax produced by them online, the tablets look completely different from what I have here, especially these SR ones.

was that regarding negative or positive symptoms?

Kenneth Scott41 said:Yeah, I am unhappy. I broke up with my girlfriend, and that’s why I’m on the pills.

How you holding up, Kenneth Scott41?
Look, it’ll be fine, trust me. You just gotta let some time pass after a breakup.
Eventually, you'll realize she wasn't all that anyway and that she definitely wasn't perfect.

I went through the exact same thing when I split with my guy. Remember back in July?
I'm doing okay now. I still think about him every now and then, but I don't want to spend even a single second dwelling on him anymore. And honestly, I can actually make it happen now. No more crying over him.🙂
Plus, looking back, it was probably for the best that he left. He really didn't treat me that great. Why would I even want someone like that?
My friend once told me about my ex: "I hope he stays a jerk for the rest of his life."🙂
Hehe.

I take Ambien at night, which manages to knock me out, but I end up waking up so many times throughout the night that I feel like a zombie by morning. It feels as though my brain never actually shuts off, even while I'm asleep. This isn't a side effect from any antidepressant—I only take one dose of Alice—rather, it's a symptom of my anxiety disorder.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an anxiolytic or a sedative that might help extend the effects of my sleeping pill? I did try 5 mg of Norvasc, but honestly, Norvasc doesn't really do much for me anyway, and I didn't notice any improvement in how long the Ambien lasted.

I plan to consult my doctor at my next appointment, of course, but I would truly value hearing about your own personal experiences.

I've been taking 5 mg of Sanval for 8 months now. I sleep through the whole night without any issues.
The only thing is, I'm totally hooked. I really need to switch medications.
Maybe try Xanax?
That puts me to sleep pretty well too.
I don't usually take it, though—only when someone at work gets on my nerves and I just can't settle down. Those damn women. Seriously.

-"Haven't you heard? You never chase after streetcars or girls!"-
Then he wrote up my medical report, flagging me as suicidal and handing me a referral for a psych ward in Los Angeles. I absolutely loathed him for it—especially for that condescending little "proverb" he used to mock me. I reached out to my family, told them how much of a mess I was, and they actually stepped in to stop me from going on "vacation." My entire world had collapsed back then. In those days, those months, I couldn't even fathom that there would be more time, more space, or anything good left in life—let alone new love. Looking back, it's almost funny, and honestly kind of sweet, how that old man mocked me. Who could have known he was actually 100% right? Haven't you heard? You never chase after streetcars or girls.

Look, the shrink you ran into sounds totally unhinged.🙂
Seems like he was just having a bad day and decided to take it out on you.😛
I can't stand it when people get in my face while they're talking; I'd honestly want to punch them right in the snout on the spot.
Forget about him though, the main thing is that you're doing okay now.

Those damn women, amen to that!😂 I totally agree!
I actually need some help from you guys. Advice...
So, back when I first started Effexor a few years ago, it was absolutely amazing for me. The panic attacks, the nerves where I felt like pulling my hair out—all of that just vanished. My God, for the first time in a long, long time, I actually felt clear-headed, calm, steady, rational, patient, kind, and genuinely happy.😍
The only side effect was having zero interest in sex, but that cleared up after a few months. It was the perfect drug.🙂
But after a while, it felt like it stopped working. So my doctor prescribed Effexor combined with Abilify. That combo is okay, but Abilify has to be bought out-of-pocket, and if I remember right, it was about $600 for a box of pills.😢
Unachievable.
Then I was told to switch over to Prozac. I've been on it for almost a year now, and I won't say it's bad because it isn't—I don't have any side effects—but I'm just not seeing any major positive changes. Honestly, I keep thinking maybe I don't even need it because I'm still irritable and depressed. I don't see much difference.
Does anyone know of any great meds that might help me feel the way I did during those first few months/years on Effexor?
I don't want to be a zombie. I just want to be "normal." I know, I know, you guys get me.
I hate Xanax because it completely, totally numbs me out. It sucks.😢
Thanks in advance!🙂🙂

Eh... I had the exact same experience with Effexor, except for me, the erectile dysfunction issues are still there.🙂 I don't know how much longer I can deal with this... it's destroying my relationship.😠
I think I'll tell my doctor the same thing—that it's stopped working... I can't really feel its effects at all anymore.

By the way, tell me, how is that Prozac? Is it any better than the Effexor?

What dose of Prozac are you on? Honestly, I wouldn't be so quick to pull the plug on Prozac, especially if you aren't dealing with any major side effects. I’m only bringing this up because it didn't even start doing anything for me until I hit the 60 mg daily mark—and after that, I actually bumped it up to 80 mg a day.

Prozac is the gold standard!👍

In my experience, Effexor is a much harder habit to break... I have no clue why my therapist swapped my Prozac for Effexor instead of just bumping up my dosage on the first one.

I suppose I don't see how there's any confusion here. Sex is a fundamental part of a relationship. It’s basically the core issue that can tear things apart if it's missing, though I guess not everyone views it that way.☕

Some medications just come with those nasty side effects, which is exactly why you'd ask a doctor for a change... but what about trying psychotherapy?

Of course it matters—but let's look at the facts here. You just informed us that you suddenly downed an entire stash of pills because your relationship fell apart. So, unless your libido is suffering from the lack of a partner, I have to wonder... was that whole episode actually about the breakup, or was it just recreational swallowing?

Now, the only way that would be an issue is if you're worried about a low libido from spending too much time solo.

😂😂😂 I'm going to get flagged for infractions again!

As for me, Prozac just didn't work.
I was a total wreck, seriously.
Seroquel is fine. Only thing is it makes me gain weight, but whatever, life goes on.

Well, she’s laughing, obviously. I suppose I didn't explain myself very clearly, so some people—women, in particular—are taking a little pleasure in twisting my words. The reality is that I'm back with my girlfriend now. So, naturally, we want to be intimate. I don't see what part of that is unclear or particularly funny.☕

Yeah, I feel you...
Prozac is fine by me. I haven't dealt with any real side effects, and my sex life is totally normal.
I don't know, I feel like I need something stronger. Is Prozac even hitting hard enough?😢
Effexor was better for me. Honestly, it was the best medication in the world for a while, right up until it stopped working.🙂

It’s honestly hilarious what Aal Mahmud wrote—but man, it gets pretty depressing when you just can't find the strength to get out of bed.😢

I was actually reading something today about this kid over in the USA who was primarily on Prozac... he ended up killing a girl and then just calmly went to Mass with a smile on his face.
There always seems to be some connection made between Prozac and those manic types committing murders across America... and I guess this isn't even the first time it's happened. But honestly, what I really need is an antidepressant that won't absolutely wreck my libido.😁
