I’m right there with you. When I take a moment to really think about it, I start spiraling. How am I supposed to make such a massive decision right now? There are so many variables to consider... what if I just end up dragging a child into my own mess? What if I can't handle the pressure of it all? Honestly, I'm just exhausted by life as it stands... ugh.

I’m feeling a lot of anxiety regarding panic attacks, and honestly, I’m terrified of the actual labor—I keep worrying about how I'll manage to breathe when my anxiety kicks in and my chest feels so tight.😢What if I struggle with my mental health after the baby arrives? I'm scared that if I'm not in a good headspace, I won't be able to provide the care my child needs...

You’re going to make it happen; I went through pregnancy while dealing with massive anxiety and depression.
I managed the whole thing without touching a single prescription pill.

And don't even get me started on how many times I ended up in the ER before I even conceived.
Once I was pregnant, all I did was nitpick my husband and constantly compare him to my exes...
The bottom line was that I needed an outlet, even if that meant taking it out on him.
It was the only way I found relief.

I honestly admire your courage. I don't think I could ever pull that off...

Honestly, I’d love to have another one if I weren't built this way...
Kids are such a massive joy, sure, but the responsibility is heavy. And if you’ve got my kind of temperament—well, you just snap. Like a dry twig. 🙂

But for the girls out there—you’re young. There’s plenty of time to work through things, get healthy, and lean on your family. You've got everything you need.
STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!

Believe me, I went through every single one of those same fears before I even got pregnant...
During my pregnancy, my doctor had me taking some mild anti-anxiety meds just once in a while.
Looking back, I honestly don't know how I managed to handle it all so well.
You develop this incredible, almost superhuman strength, I promise you.

I truly admire your courage; I don't think I could ever find it in myself to go through that...
I would love to, honestly, but with my mental health being such a mess and living in a shared apartment
where my roommate is constantly getting on my last nerve, it's tough.
But man, I’d give anything to have one little bundle of joy...

N/A
I’d love another one too, if I weren't the way I am...
A child is an immense joy, but it's also an enormous responsibility, and if you have the same genetic predisposition toward instability that I do—it’s just snap! You break like a dry twig.
We really are just fragile souls out here...

By the way, I'm 31 years old.🙂

Good for you! I really hope I can make that happen someday. I'm 27 now, I have a boyfriend, and naturally, thoughts like these cross my mind all the time.

Day three on the Melatonin, and sleep still isn't happening. 😢
Is this what happens after you stop taking N/A?
Has anyone else been on N/A for a long stretch, quit cold turkey, and had the insomnia come crashing back immediately?

Thanks, that actually worked! 🙂
I guess I was right all along—those old remedies don't hit the same way they used to, probably because I started using Sanval in the meantime...
Anyway, maybe this helps someone else make up their mind...

Scott Alvarez22 said:I've touched on this before;

For me, Zoloft has a massive impact on how I perceive the weather—specifically atmospheric pressure.
When the barometric pressure drops, I deal with nausea and dizziness, whereas high pressure brings tension and headaches.

I find myself constantly having to balance it out with Xanax; when there's high pressure—like during a bright, sunny day—I feel like I need more Xanax just to cope, but during those rainy, humid days from the south, I barely need any at all.

In my experience, Zoloft and Xanax share a surprisingly similar set of side effects—shaking, jitters, nausea, and so on. The main difference is the timing: with Zoloft, everything hits within thirty minutes to two hours, whereas with Xanax, the symptoms tend to flare up once it wears off after a couple of hours. It took me years to finally realize that the symptoms are almost identical, almost as if Zoloft somehow has Xanax baked right into it.

Ugh, yeah, the physical stuff can be absolutely brutal. :/

Regarding the actual mental symptoms of depression—you know, that heavy, low mood—how did it actually help you? And is it possible caffeine plays a role in how the meds work? I mean, just up to two cups a day.

Thanks, Mark Nelson. I'm hoping Zoloft eventually pulls its weight.🙂
It worked wonders for me once I started taking it consistently.👍
Anyway, you really have to listen completely to your psychiatrist when it comes to adjusting doses. I learned that the hard way, unfortunately.

When my anxiety kicks in, I get this intense urge to throw up, especially in the morning. Had to head out today to drop off a seasonal job application and the urge hit me so hard—not even nausea, just a sudden, violent impulse to vomit. Dealing with GERD and stomach ulcers doesn't help either, but lately, it's been getting worse. Even when I take xanax or some kind of relaxant, it eventually settles down. That morning urge is pretty much a constant for me; my grandmother used to deal with the same thing every single morning. Plus, my fear of pregnancy isn't helping the stress levels. Any advice on what might help?

Have you ever tried Faverin? It's an anxiolytic antidepressant, and honestly, it worked wonders for me when I was on it.

If you feel like that depression is starting to creep back in—and I notice quite a few people here mentioning they’re struggling with relapses, sometimes even feeling worse than before—I can't help but wonder why you stopped doing the things that actually helped you get through it in the first place.
Personally, I don't see any issue with someone just taking a single AD indefinitely if that's what works for them.
I mean, look at my elderly mother; she’s been taking her heart medication for years now without anyone batting an eye...

Maybe it's because I'm carrying extra weight and everyone's having a laugh at my expense...
And because, deep down, I really just want to start a family.😁

I used to swing between feeling absolutely amazing and these periods of total emptiness and numbness.🤷
Then, out of nowhere, I couldn't sleep because my head was just racing with emotions. It felt great at first, I guess, but it ended up totally draining me.
In the end, I just lost my way and made a really stupid mistake with my meds without talking to my doctor first. 🙂

Yeah, but then my doctor switched me over to Unknown, which is just okay. Some days are better than others, and sometimes it gives me a fever. It’s listed as a side effect.

In what sense would you say it acts as an anti-anxiety antidepressant?
