Exactly. We’ve basically entered the era of the "lunchbox-carrying, suburban backpacker" type of fan.

Reading through these comments, I get this nagging feeling that everyone thinks fans are these flawless, morally upright paragons of virtue. 😁😁😁

Honestly, reading through these threads gives me the distinct impression that you all view fans as these flawless, saintly beings possessing an unbreakable moral compass and nothing but pure intentions. 😁😁😁

Absolute garbage 🙂

With the holidays coming up, I guess it's time for love and peace. Then again, maybe the world will end before then, so there's really no point. Might as well just lock things down until February! 😁

A real fan is just stupid enough to not even think about packing a sandwich—because they already know they won't be able to eat a single thing for the next three days... since everything they just consumed came straight from the source, and it definitely wasn't some cheap, mass-produced junk 🙂

Jesse Campbell said:Well, your marketing is actually pretty solid, so what the hell are you guys whining about? I just spent some time scrolling through the site.

There’s something for everyone, which is exactly how it should be. A supporter group isn't some fashion house meant to dictate global trends; it's just a crew where people who actually know what looks good can find something they like. It matters that it isn't all just bright, tacky garbage, but there still needs to be stuff for the casual fans too... you gotta take their money so the group actually has a budget to work with.

It’s not like anyone failed to realize we're in a massive recession and everyone is broke, making it incredibly hard to sell anything right now. 🤷 Obviously sales have dipped, but that doesn't mean it has anything to do with the design of the gear itself.

Is there any topic on this board that a legendary internet ultra wouldn't have an opinion on?😂

http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...17482507_n.jpg If I’m reading this diagram correctly, this should be the third kit... http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...06490734_n.png and then this one would be the other

And what can you even say about them launching an investigation into the head of security? It feels like the Chief of Police in a city like Chicago just looks the other way to protect his own. He basically claims everything went according to plan, which makes me think they operate on this "cops gotta stick together" mentality. You'd think they'd realize their actual job is to uphold the law, even when it means calling out people in their own ranks, but nope. Now you've got three different fan groups at the stadium who basically have carte blanche—they’re walking around with clubs, riot shields, tear gas... honestly, give it two or three years and we'll probably see them lighting off flares in the stands too.

I’m not sure if this is just a concept or what’s actually happening, but I wanted to toss in a few observations regarding the designs.
Regarding the home kit, personally, I think three leopard spots on the jersey is plenty; having them twice in sets of three like in the photo feels like overkill. Maybe just stick to the top three so the crest sits right in the geometric center of the pattern, though honestly, the bottom version wouldn't be bad either.
As for the collar and that red trim—it looks sharp because it ties together the red-white-blue palette. That said, I’ve always thought that Los Angeles FC kit with the red cross was one of the best looking out there, so I’d love to see a version like that too.

The black away kit is phenomenal! Since we can't go with the white version (kind of like how Seattle does it) or the blue version—which would be total stupidity, similar to what Indianapolis tried—black is definitely my pick.
A lot of people don't realize that the LAFC crest represents a sailboat cruising the ocean, so making the kit blue just doesn't make sense.
It's hard to say which one is the winner, but the one on the far right seems the best to me. I'd really like to see it paired with the first option, since I'm a fan of that red and blue stripe on the first design.
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to see an all-black version where the leopard spots are red and blue, though that might end up looking a bit tacky.

I really hope they’re paying attention to the aerodynamics so these aren't shaped like those old parachute models from years ago; based on the photos, it looks like they should be fine.
The blue color is solid, too. It's a clean look.

The debate over whether modern football is losing its soul continues to rage on, and honestly, I can see why people are getting worked up about it. There’s a growing feeling among fans that the sport is shifting away from its traditional roots toward something much more corporate and sanitized. I was reading some recent commentary on this, and it really makes you wonder if the passion we grew up with can actually survive in this new era. Some argue that the influx of massive capital and the obsession with data-driven results are stripping the game of its spontaneity and grit. It feels like everything is being calculated now—every move, every transfer, every tactical shift—leaving very little room for that raw, unpredictable magic that makes us fall in love with the game in the first place. It’s a complicated issue. On one hand, you have the evolution of professionalism and the incredible athleticism being displayed on the pitch. On the other, there's a sense that the "spirit" of the club—that deep, local connection between the community and the team—is being traded for global branding and television rights. I’m curious to hear what everyone else thinks. Are we witnessing a natural evolution, or are we watching the slow death of the beautiful game as we knew it? Is it possible to embrace the progress of the modern era without completely abandoning the traditions that define our clubs?

I'm sorry, but I can't see the image you linked. Could you please describe what's in the photo or tell me more about it? Once I know what we're looking at, I'll be happy to jump in and share my thoughts! If I'm reading this correctly, this should probably be our third kit. Based on how the scheme looks... http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...06490734_n.png Even this one was...

Larry Howard62 said:I’m not sure if this is meant to be a formal proposal or just a rough draft, but I’d love to add a few small details that caught my eye.
Regarding the home kit, I feel like having three leopards on the jersey is plenty. Looking at the photo, having them twice—three on top and three on bottom—seems a bit much. Maybe we could just stick to the top three so the crest sits right in the geometric center of the pattern? That said, I wouldn't say the bottom version looks bad either.
I think the collar and that red trim look great—they really tie the whole red, Bill, and blue color scheme together. That said, one of my favorite Los Angeles FC kits has always been the one with the red cross design, so I’d love to see if they could pull off a version like that too.

The away kit in black is absolutely phenomenal! Since we can't exactly rely on our home kits—which feel like a total nightmare when we're facing off against a complete blue setup (kind of like playing Seattle) or if Bill goes with blue and ends up looking like a total idiot (like that Indianapolis situation)—black is definitely my go-to choice.
A lot of people don't realize that the Los Angeles FC jersey is actually inspired by a sailboat cruising the ocean. It was simply better to go with blue.
It’s hard to say which one is better, though I have to admit that last one on the right really stands out to me. I’d love to see it paired with the first one, though—that red and blue ribbon on the first design is just too good to pass up.
Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go all black. Having the leopard print in red and blue would probably just look a bit tacky.

Nadan mentioned that they’re going to pay close attention to the aerodynamics of the jerseys this time around. We definitely don't want them looking like those old parachute models again! From what I can see in the leaked photos, though, the design looks pretty decent.
Blue is fine too, I guess. But honestly, nothing beats a clean, solid color.

It looks like this guy is just going to design it himself; there’s absolutely no connection to Nikeon here.

Sometimes I just sit here thinking about how many times we stood up, wrote our views, wore the gear, and tagged walls against MODERN FOOTBALL, only to wonder if anyone actually gets it or if everyone’s just a parrot.🙄

I mean, why even act surprised? 🤷
Honestly, like 90% of this stuff? It’s not even gonna touch them. Won't hurt 'em one bit. Just more of the same old thing, really. Nothing new under the sun. ☕

I’m honestly just sitting here waiting for someone to inevitably chime in and claim this kit looks way too dark for the California national team.🙂
