I've only been mayor for six years—hardly a lifetime.
Penava talks trash and somehow stays in the game.
The poor guy just didn't have enough time to actually get anything done.

Penava and several council members have officially split from the Republican Party to launch their own movement! They’re planning to run alongside Škoro in the upcoming elections.

This is the total collapse of the Republican base in the Midwest. Anušić just doesn't have the political muscle required to take down Škoro.

And once the election is over, I bet Škoro will end up teaming up with the Republican Party. He won't go running to the Democratic Party, surely...☕

And what about Božo Galić? 😛

Where are the SWAT teams with the high-tech gear? I have to criticize Plenković for the lack of spectacle and special effects here. The old guard used to pull this off much better before an election.
The whole thing is just a limp, pathetic show for the public.

For what purpose? All this needs is a bit of neutralizing via some intra-party circus out in the Rust Belt...

Ana Karamarko has been taken in for questioning

The FBI investigation covers several companies and about thirty different people

According to The New York Post, they suspect people lined their pockets with $3 million while draining about $1.6 million from the public treasury. Word on the street is that Ana Karamarko's company paid out $133 for services that didn't even exist.

THEY HAVEN'T DECIDED YET IF THEY'LL ASK FOR PRE-TRIAL DETENTION
It was actually because of his wife's company, “Drimia,” and her dealings with the MOL consultant Joz Petrović Karamarko, that he stepped down as the first Vice President of the Cabinet and leader of the Republican Party back in 2016.

Classic Republican Party stuff.
I guess this is just the fourth or fifth version of them—you know, after the eras of Harmon / Pašalić, Sanders, and then Kosor.
That's the version that supposedly did such a great job cleaning up the corruption, right?

And honestly, I think the current version that took over kept pretty much the same two or three ministers from the start of the term, don't you think?

Even Krstičević tripped up over some real estate issues.
And that's after tripping over countless government jobs and our precious taxpayer millions spent on basically nothing.

When I overheard some chatter about the Republican Party and those recent arrests, my first thought was that they were just more of Plenković’s loyalists being hauled in. Turns out, I was wrong about that one!

Penava was basically just sitting there waiting to see if he’d make the cut on Plenković's list—spoiler alert: he didn't. Instead, he’s going to be the 5th candidate for Škoro, which means he’ll likely slide right into Congress and end up teaming up with that exact same Republican Party he walked away from in the first place. It's almost funny, isn't it? These ten little guys had no choice but to follow him and back his play, especially since their new party is basically tanking and they're losing all their footing in local elections. But hey, that's politics for you—just when one group fades out, some new batch of Republican kids pops up to take their place anyway.

Wait, are you telling me the Republican Party officially doesn't have a single representative left in El Paso?🤣

Yeah, sure... just like how you "crushed it" in the European Union elections... or how you’re definitely going to land the President of the United States...😉

El Paso is a symbol—remember how much you guys bragged when you snatched it away from the kmers? Well, now Penava has really put you in a tight spot, and things are still shaking.

And here you are, busy doing damage control...

The only issue is that four years ago, Penava pulled in four times fewer votes than Zdravko Marić... Maybe being the Mayor of El Paso carries weight with right-wing voters, but the math doesn't lie...

So, the Republican Party is finally off the hook regarding the Cyrillic controversy in El Paso. Instead, they’ve managed to pin the blame squarely on Škoro :-D

The question remains whether Penava will maintain his coalition with the Independent Party in El Paso, or if they will pivot back toward the Republican Party. At both the local and national levels, their interests remain fundamentally aligned with the Republicans.

We’re feeling pretty good here in El Paso right now, and honestly, we’re just glad to see Penava and his crew finally moving on from the Republican Party.
Now that the Democratic Party and the Independent Party can actually work together without all that extra noise, they should be able to focus on what really matters—doing right by the people here in El Paso. 🤣

I am not particularly well-versed in the local political landscape. Is the headquarters dedicated to fighting Cyrillic and defending El Paso now part of the Republican Party, or has everyone migrated over to Škoro?

Who exactly is going to stand up for El Paso against the Republican-Independent Coalition and their push for Cyrillic?

I’m not really sure yet—we’ll probably find out sooner rather than later.
As for who’s actually going to step up and defend us:

Some Democratic Party fans were caught unfurling a banner right by the memorial cross over in Memphis.

Honestly, there's no reason to be afraid.👍

God, this is a rare phenomenon where the administration actually organizes demonstrations against its own interests and the opposition.

Is Penava looking across the Mississippi River and imitating Vučić? Organizing groups just to fight for justice? He's missing a torchlight parade, and perhaps even a few hunger strikes.

Penava is basically just mimicking Vučić, though he lacks the sheer intellect of that lunatic from Mexico City.
